Stuff is exceptional and treat you like you are in 5 star hotel. The rooftop restaurant offer great breakfast and fantastic lunch and dinner dishes.
Hotel is clean and the rooms are modern and very comfy. Food was good and diversified. Staff was nice and helping.
The location is good according to the fact that the railway station is really close, on the other side it isn't really a safe district. But a security man right in front of the hotel makes you feel safe.
New hotel, clean and nice staff. Good position
A little noisy
Good central location, near the New Delhi station. Very helpful staff, provided a power socket converter for free. Food good.
Room was good and spacious. Bed was comfortable and large. Free wifi a plus.
Manager tried to over-charge me for a tour right when I checked in and he knew I was tired. Everyone waits around looking for tips. Their city tour was just a driver with no guide.
Hotel felt welcoming and safe for a solo female traveler. I enjoyed the terrace overlooking the city and the breakfast buffet. Wifi was stronger and more reliable than in some of the fancier hotels I stayed at for the business portion of my trip. Price was extremely reasonable for the amenities offered.
The location is just OK... I didn't feel safe walking around. However, tuk-tuks and taxis are easy to arrange from the desk and it is pretty close to the center of Old Delhi.
Tidy place.corteous staff. Always remember-- perfection is a moving target.
Rooftop restaurant (although during our time it was too cold to sit outside, but with warmer temperature it must be lovely); food we had for lunch was excellent
I like everything about this hotel. It's the only hotel where I stay whenever I go to Delhi. Everything is perfect.
We stayed twice at City Star. They provided us with a pick up from the airport. The rooms are very comfortable with a lovely shower. Good location in the centre of town and near the railway station. Good wifi connection. Restaurant was nice on the rooftop.
There was a weird mix up with the payment for the airport pick up. We paid the driver for his airport charges but then seemed to get him in trouble for doing this. They need to be clear on how to pay for the transfer.
The hotel facilities, the hotel staff and the restaurant are excellent. The rooms are very clean and the price of everything makes it an excellent value for money place.
All good, nothing to complain about
Nice and clean
Position not ideal - busy street in a not great area, but convenient for CP and Old City
I was taken good care by the staffs working there, both at restaurant as well by the reception.
The hotel is near the Delhi railroad and Metro stations. From the latter, you can take the new Airport Express to Terminal 3. The journey takes 20-25 minutes, with four stops. It's modern, comfortable; and not crowded. It's like Hong Kong's Airport Express train. The City Star offers complimentary one-way transport from the airport. Service at the hotel is excellent. There are complimentary snacks and fruit in the room.
The staff of this hotel is a team of excellent, friendly and kind people willing to help the guests with all their inquiries and needs. The rooms were large, the beds comfortable, the bathrooms on the small size but well equipped and the coffee served with breakfast excellent. The hotel is also very clean.
The prices at the travel desk were rather elevated.
Our first encounter with the Hotel City Star was unfortunate, as our airport pickup didn't happen and our arrival, at 2am, was a pretty bleak affair. However, we were so pleased in general with our stay here that our initial disappointment soon faded into the distance. I would just advise other travellers seeking airport pickup to make sure you get written confirmation from the hotel prior to arrival. That said, we stayed here on two occasions, once on our arrival in India and the second time at the end of our trip before returning home. We enjoyed our stay both times but it was on our second visit, after we'd experienced other hotels throughout the country that we could truly appreciate what exceptional value for money the Hotel City Star really is. The staff, from the smiling doorman to the manager, are all, without exception, extremely kind, courteous and helpful. (We got a lovely welcome when we came back the second time and since we were fresh from a pretty awful experience in Agra, it was brilliant to feel so much at home). The rooms are comfortable, with all mod cons, and are amazingly quiet, considering the racket from the street. On our second visit we were given a room on an upper floor and it was even better. Every day we were given biscuits and fruit and free toiletries. Breakfast is varied and plentiful and there really is something for everyone. We ate dinner here a few times too and thoroughly enjoyed the meal. On two occasions the manager organized a driver for us for the whole day at a reasonable price. It was really the best way to sightsee. The drivers were great and paying up front meant we didn't have to worry about running up charges all day. On the strength of other reviews, I was a little concerned about the area. I can understand why some travellers might find it a bit overpowering and there are certainly some streets that are not very appealing after dark. We stuck to the main roads and had no trouble at all.
We enjoyed our meals in the restaurants. However, the food is slightly overpriced and we found that helpings were so generous we couldn't always get through them. Personally I would prefer to pay less for smaller amounts. This is not a criticism, just a recommendation.
Facilities, Cleanliness, Food
Size of the room
The little extras made this hotel special: the welcome glass of juice, the daily replenishment of tea, coffee, water, fruit and cookies. The hotel is in a central location. It is modern and the rooms are clean and tastefully furnished with a comfortable bed and good bathroom. Free breakfast is included, served in the small rooftop restaurant. They also offer free pick-up (250 rps. for car park). There is also a travel desk where cars, auto rikshas and tours csn be booked. The price are fair tourist prices. We would highly recommend thi hotel.
staff very polite. good selection of breakfast items. very close to New Delhi subway station and metro express to airport
clean room. awesome bathroom. strong wifi signals. delicious breakfast. staffs at the reception are very helpful & friendly. loving every part of this hotel.
Small light and bright boutique hotel.
Limited breakfast variety for Westerners.
When you step in from the noisy and dirty street you enter into totaly different world. It is nice, clean and comfortable, with helpful and friendly staff, close to the railway station
Very clean and quiet rooms, helpful staff, really good breakfast (indian and european buffet and, surprisingly, one of the best coffees I've tried), located close to the New Delhi railway station.
Located on a very busy street (though conveniently close to the New Delhi station).
