People are not welcoming, everyone is dying to steal you, cheat you, fool you and take money out of you. No one cares about hospitality. With only one day available on a busy itinerary it had to be...
With only one day available on a busy itinerary it had to be the Taj Mahal. Get up early and have a snack, then get to the ticket office for 6.15. (Gates open at 6.30) - at least they did in February. If we'd had a bit more time, then Agra fort would have been worth a visit. One place to relax is a small rooftop bar called Treat up the steepest, narrowest staircase ever. Great to watch the world go by with a cold beer and a wide selection of reasonably priced food.

The three classic monuments in and around Agra all lived up to expectations. Despite the fact that Taj Mahal is so well known from pictures, visiting it at sunrise still made an enormous impact. The Red Fort in Agra is also impressive, though it is by no means the only fort from that period in the area. Fatehpur Sikri (about an hour away from Agra) is definitely worth a visit, perhaps because it was conceived as a city and not just as a fort.PaulUnited Kingdom

After check-in, we were escorted to our room, which was spacious, clean, neat, and equipped with all necessary facilities. Additionally, the complimentary breakfast was well-served with four or five items. The food was tasty, clean, and most importantly, hygienic. I highly recommend staying at this hotel if you plan to visit Agra. I look forward to staying here again.
