Our train journey to Pozzallo was delayed some hours. I notified the owner, Giancarlo who then arranged for a taxi to meet us on arrival. We only had an overnight stay so it was a very late arrival and then early departure to take the ferry to Malta the following morning so our stay was very short.
Our room was small plus a very smart refurbished ensuite which made it quite comfortable. We also had a large patio with great sea views which we were unable to use because of our train delays.

A quaint seaside town - very clean and with great food both to buy and cook or dine out. The town center is vibrant and has a really good feel. We stumbled across Pozzallo taking the ferry across to Malta - what a gem !

Pozzallo is the closest Sicilian port to the island of Malta. It is an obvious place to break one's journey from Malta by sea, by spending at least one night in Pozzallo and continuing on one's travels the next day (or days).
Pozzallo is a good place to relax and enjoy the beaches (in summer) and long walks (in winter).

Pozzallo is great as a stepping stone, to rest a bit and move on. We've always found the locals to be very friendly, and the food good.
The beaches are nice, and fantastic for the children, but apart from that there isn't much to do.

Pozzallo is a beautiful little beach town at the southern tip of Sicily. The beach water is clear and beautiful! Many people don't speak English there, so make sure to bring your translator app. I would also recommend a trip to the best gelato place in town, L'Artigianale. They have a huge selection of amazing flavors, and so cheap!

Very relaxed and some lovely bars and restaurants on the beach.
Beautiful clean beaches for miles with refreshing showers
Gustos bar and ice cream/coffee bar next door very good
Very few shops
Not much to do at night for 20-30 year olds
Very friendly, welcoming and supportive owner! Room was spacious and well equipped with all you need for a short stay. Despite the charm, it could use a little updating. Best feature was the huge terrace - perfect place to chill out and enjoy the sea-view. Walking distance to the Malta-ferry is only about 10 minutes, and therefore perfect if you are in transfer. Plenty of restaurants and beaches nearby. Breakfast was good with all we could ask for. We can certainly recommend to stay at Terrazze sul Mare which owns up to its name.
A great place to stay for a few nights in Pozzallo. This is an entire apartment in a pretty new building in the center of town, including bedroom, bathroom, a kitchen with dining area and a large balcony!
Everything was super clean and the hosts were super friendly.
When I booked I was a bit afraid that, due to the location, it would be noisy at night but I was positively surprised. With the windows and shutters closed and my earplugs in, I couldn't hear a thing :)
We stayed three days at Torre Dantona as a part of a one-week trip around the East Coast of Sicily. The property was beyond beautiful and exactly the italian family farm vibe we were looking for. Rooms were pleasant and clean. There are only 12 rooms at the farm and we had ours right next to the pool in very relaxing surroundings.
Staff was very friendly and the breakfast was fine (also many different types of cake - if you’re into that ;-))
The apartment is large, comfortable, modern, and convenient. Communication from the owner was excellent. Johnny and his son met us to check in and explain everything. They were both so friendly and helpful, We loved the fact that there was a garage since parking seems difficult in Pozzallo. Also appreciated the elevator because I was in a wheelchair. Perfect stay. We will return!
We missed the last ferry to Malta and arrived very late at the hotel after a nearly two mile walk with luggage. Way past last check-in. Not only did the manager wake up and showed us to our room, he drove us to the ferry terminal at 5:30 the next morning as taxis/Uber not readily available at that hour. Our many thanks for both acts of kindness!
good location when you are taking ferry from/to Malta - ferry port is ~20 minutes away by walk and there are restaurants options along the way
Bus and Train station for travel to Catania or around other towns are also witihin walkable distance from the hotel
Host prepared delicious breakfast in the morning!
It is a fantastically nice and friendly hotel. While this was last year, we traveled through all of Italy in only five star hotels, some of them at 10x the price of this one. And still, this was the most enjoyable one. So we came back this year and it did not disappoint.
The rooms were great. Plenty of space and very clean. The location was amazing with immediate access to the beach. Restaurants and grocery stores are nearby. The communication and service from the staff was excellent. The checkin was simple and easy.
The hotel is positioned well close to the port as if arriving on the late ferry it good to stay there for the night, and also it's close to all amenities such as coffee shops restaurants etc.
Will be staying there again for sure .
Everything! Super beautiful, super clean, super easy to use, someone really knew what he was doing regarding this flat. The best place I have ever been that is not a hotel with the brand name. Wow from the heart
