Pefect city, with an amazing beach and even more amazin beach stuff.
Beach is filled with plenty of bars, restourants, free public toilets, drinkable water and the most amazing part, everithing is wheelchair acessible
Plenty of restourants, and parking spaces. We came by car and the streets are very wide and in a very good condition. There is a local market every saturday in the morning from 9 am to 3 pm. So take care if you come then into the city as part of the streets is closes for cars.
We ate at the Delfino Blu, and Ciao Ciao and the food (and wine :) ) were AMAZING.

Grado is a great place to base yourself for a few days.
Grado is a great place to base yourself for a few days. It is a marine town with tons of boats. We would eat our gelato in front of the marina every night.
We were here for two main sights.
First was birding the nature preserve. We rented bikes in town. We saw quite a few shore birds like heron and ibis and our first flamingo in the wild.
Second was the Roman town of Aquillia. If you are a fan of Roman history you have to see this place. Some of the best Roman mosaics in the world.

The destination in main tourist seasons is little bit crowded as it is small island and parking there might be challenging on some days, but once settle Grado provides great variety of Italian restaurants with cuisine you will fall for. The long sand beaches are beautiful and shallow slowly descending shore is great for families with small children.

Basically the northern beach in Italy, and you have all you need to have small taste of the "La bella vita"...

Grado is our favourite resort on this coast and it is easy to get to .
It is an interesting town with very different parts, old and new. It is well kept with lovely flower beds. There are some very good restaurants...we try to visit once a year and always go to Tony's restaurant which is excellent. We stayed in Pineta this year for the first time where the car parking was demanding !!
Francesco was very kind and helpful, answering all my questions. We arrived late on Friday evening, even this was not a problem, he was waiting for us at the hotel at the agreed time. The rooms were very clean and sophisticated, furnished with very good taste. Breakfast was plentiful and excellent! Several types of Italian ham, cheese and salmon were also offered. Several types of soft drinking, real Italian coffee were also available. The location is as good as possible. It is close to downtown and also on the beach.
I have met some really nice people in my life but only very rarely have I experienced the kindness and hospitality I was treated with at this place. It felt like the staff, from housekeeping to receptionists, are just really happy people, they do not just pretend for the sake of their jobs.
The hotel as well as the rooms were super clean, the breakfast very good and I could not complain about a single thing even if I wanted to. 10/10, thank you very much!
Astoria’s staff is very welcoming to our two little dogs. We feel well looked after there. The staff is friendly and helpful. The place is always very clean. We love it’s history. It’s 100 years old!
The dining room is spacious and lovely. The breakfast buffet has a good selection. The barista makes a great cappuccino. The hotels location is ideal. So close to the beach and the charming old part of town.
We stayed during the off-season, and this hotel was a great choice. It's situated not in the center of Grado but further along the beach in a quiet residential neighborhood. The room was very spacious and comfortable, breakfast was satisfactory, and parking around the hotel behind a gated area was provided. While the staff could have been friendlier, overall, we were very happy with our stay.
We loved the view from the terrace - we could see the whole old town and were above all other buildings, so we also had privacy. There were numerous restaurants in the near vicinity of the hotel, so we had a lot of options to go out for dinner, which we also liked. The breakfast in the hotel was rich with plenty of fruits and vegetables.
Best appartment we ever had in Grado. Very new and clean. We liked the quiet location. Bathroom very modern and shower with high standard. Hair dryer available. Enough towels. Kitchen well equipped, inclusive espresso machine. Basic equipment for cleaning and bath was thankfully provided. The included carpark is very helpful.
Very cute decor, great location, freshly renovated - stands out a lot from the other 70s hotels in the Grado area! The rooms are very clean and many have a small balcony to enjoy your light breakfast offered by the B&B. I would recommend this 100% to anyone!
The breakfast buffet is sensational! There is a large selection of fruits and desserts. Eggs and coffee can be ordered. The view from the (not heated) rooftop pool is very nice. Bicycles can be obtained free of charge from the hotel for a trip to the city.
The young man at check-in (Eduardo I think his name is) was great. Very friendly, very helpful in explaining everything. His english was very good. The location is in Grado center. Our room had a beauiful outlook over the canals.
Staff was super nice. The place was really spacious and comfortable. The location was perfect as it's right in the centre of Grado, a 5min walk from the beach. There's a supermarket right next to Villa Flora too.
The staff was super friendly and tried to fulfill all wishes from their guests.
Great price-performance ratio.
