Everything was given for a good holiday: comfortable beds and sofabed, air conditioning, large and clean bathroom, bike rental for free. Best beach in walking distance.

Liked the narrow old streets, old churches and baptistry (5th century), Boat trip around the lagoon, very big choice of places to eat and drink. In my view the better restaurants were in the back streets as those on the Main Street in the old town are rather touristic. I recommend the restaurant Zero Miglia near the entrance to the dock from the lagoon, run by the fishermen's cooperative so all fish very fresh indeed! Book in advance in season though as it gets very busy.

A rare place that fortunately still holds on to its relaxed, small beach town vibe. Grado has a very cute old center with shops and restaurants, a beautiful promenade, and miles of beaches, plus the island is very walkable! There is much more to do and see there than we first thought. Other than beaches and water sports, there are bike trails, boat trips, museums and Roman ruins nearby, and much more. If you're looking for a unique beach holiday in Italy away from the bigger resorts, Grado is a great option!

Grado city is tiny but has it's history, so you could walk over historical city center, there are beaches paid and not paid, so i made a walk to Azzuro beach- here as everywhere in Grado there is gray sand, so i recommend either to pay for lounger or to stay on stones not to clean then forever. In 12 km from Grado there is city Aquilleia with very beaitiful mosaic inside- so you can easily rent or borrow a bike and to go there by very comfortable bycicle road. Funny thing is that in Aquilleia you cant touch mosaic, but in Grado church it is same age and people just walk over it:))!From Grado it is also possible to make a board trip to island Barnaba for 7 eur. The only this is that in the evening is not much to do, on weekends it could be some music or there is evening golf but mostly after 23:00 are just bars open.

Everything is in a walking distance, congenial old town, excellent food everywhere, fantastic restaurant de Toni (Michelin listed for many years) with moderate prices and wines, wines. Everywhere nice people, very safe. Close driving distance to castel Duino. (R.M. Rilke wrote part of his Elegys here). Tuesday free day! Nice hotel Riviera with P and restaurant on the terrace with wiev to Miramare. 1 km walk to Habsburg castel Miramare. 30 km to Friulis wineyards with rasting... Give me one good reason for not to go.

Grado is very nice and very lively, the city center is full of nice monuments and lovely streets. In the evening the city is full of nice bar, restaurants and shops. But the sea is mostly very bad: they make you pay to access to most of the seaside and most beach are horrible, the water is warm and muddy, the sand is dirty and it slopes down too slowly. Only in the beach called "Costa Azzurra" the water is cool and not muddy, but the free beach is full of cigarette butts, bottles, cans and abandoned waste.

Grado is a major resort area - so lots of people, Major parking problems and some avaerqge architecture. At it’s heart is a lovely old town And corniche and pleasant pedestrianised area. We are in the garden of Osteria del Contrado right up against the cathedral. We loved the drive over the causeway and the wetaland countryside around.

The roof top terrace is great, offering a fantastic view all over the lagoon and Grado. The roof top restaurant and lounge are very stylish and enjoyable. the pool is pretty small and shallow, nevertheless refreshing, clean and enjoyable.

Sooo sweet place :) petfriendly, air conditioning, nice hosts (one of them speeks Hun). We loved the seating area in front of the hotel and the breakfast place. Recommended to have a lunch in their restaurant. Human and dog beach is close (5-10minutes). Renting a bike is included, nice to use to see the city of Grado by bike. Quiet, relaxed area of Grado. Ideal with dog, child because the see is very shalow.

The breakfast buffet is ample and varied, especially in comparison to the typical breakfast buffet at most Italian hotels.
