Customer service was top notch. Natasha was so kind, helpful, welcoming and accommodating. The location is away from the busy town but a short taxi into town. The water access across the street was easy and peaceful. The on-site pool was beautiful and the included breakfast was excellent. You’re a short walk away from nearby restaurants, history and an excellent local bakery. I truly enjoyed every moment of the time here, and I’ll be back!

Breakfast was disappointing because the bain-marie food warmer had been left to extinguish itself, so no hot food!

Coffee bar was excellent—staff makes great Americans and cappuccino! Front desk was helpful arranging my boat trip and car service to Dubrovnik. So quiet even though it’s right on the main entrance square—lots of vibrant activity just outside your window if you want to enjoy that, or just close up and it’s peace & quiet.

Hotel Sara was wonderful. The staff treated us like family. They made sure we were confortable and happy while our stay.
We will definitely recommend Hotel Sara to our family and friends.
If we have the opportunity to go back to Dubrota ( I truly hope so) we will love to stay at Hotel Sara again.
The hotel is right in front of the ocean. The restaurant has an amazing view of the bay. We enjoyed every single sunset there. The rooms are spacious, clean and modern.
The property has plenty of parking and is right next to a beautiful palace.
There are restaurants and a super market 5 to 10 minutes (walking) away.

The Old Town is beautiful, with lots of good restaurants & bars. Highlights for us were the Cable car although make sure it is a clear day or you'll see nothing. The walk up the the fortress, there are 1350 steps so a hard climb, but the views are fabulous. Visit to Perast which is a very pretty village, we did a taxi there (€25) and a speed boat back (€60 for 3 of us). We did a boat trip to the Blue Cave, however disappointingly we couldn't go in as our boat was too big for the weather conditions. We think the captain new this before we paid and departed but took us anyway so make sure you check before you book.

Lovely old town (inside the walls) but lots of tourists coming in from cruise ships close by and coach trippers. Pick a day without cruise ships for a less crowded vibe. Plenty to do and see in and around the city, especially if you like walking and cycling. Plenty to see in the region as well, although a car is almost essential to get to some of the more remote places. We stayed in Dobrota (about 5km along the waterfront from Kotor) so could cycle in easily and it was a lot quieter. Don't try to find parking in Kotor. Nigh on impossible, unless you pay good money!

We had been to Kotor before and love it. 4 days is plenty of time to spend here. In the summer it is very busy and very noisy, into the early hours of the morning. Kotor is a very beautiful town and the trip up the mountain by cable car is well worth it. If possible take a boat trip around the bay. Be aware that within the city walls the pavements are very rough and there are a lot of steps to many of the apartments. Hotel Hippocampus has a great roof bar and Dino the waiter is lovely

Kotor is cute little city, beautiful bay, impressive mountains, really really good seafood. Also enjoyed cute little bars in the city. We walked up the fortress which is pretty solid 60minute hike uphill and 30minute downhill, it’s hard cardio but it’s worth it the views are amazing.

Kotor is a well preserved historical city with an impressive fortress wall stretching up the mountainside. There are a few interesting churches. Plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants. Some of the restaurants outside the old city walls are fine dining. Kotor attracts large cruise ships, so the town can become inundated by large groups of tourists.

We loved it, but if you don't like cats don't go!
We loved it, but if you don't like cats don't go! They are everywhere, I've never seen so many in one place in all my life. We found it really heartwarming how well they were treated by both the locals and the tourists. Food stations and little beds for them in the park. Wonderful! Kotor is a stunning old town, full of history and the scenery is breathtaking. We stayed for 4 nights and that was plenty of time to do the all things we wanted. Any longer and we may have been a tiny bit bored, as its such a small place. I would definitely recommend for a short break though.
We can’t say enough about this apartment and our host. She met us at the apartment and was so hospitable and kind and always available to answer questions we had.
The apartment itself is in a perfect location, only a minute walks from market and about five mins or so to walk to Old Town. It’s quiet, with parking, comfortable beds and well equipped everything. I looked at a lot of places in Kotor and I’m very happy I chose this apartment. You will feel like you are at home for your stay here.
Nigel and his team have created an absolute oasis -- our stay at Palazzo Sbutega was the highlight of our time in Montenegro! Truly unparalleled hospitality, with every detail thought out and a real effort to make your stay a time of total reset and relaxation. We loved the pool, morning swims in the Adriatic, breakfasts, boat trip through the Bay of Kotor, meeting our lovely fellow guests, Nigel's wealth of stories, and the comfortable and well-appointed room. Can't wait to plan a longer stay!
Good value for the price. The apartment is perfectly located, there are beach, bars and regular stores around, and it's still far enough (and yet within a few minutes walk) from the Old Town which gets very loud at nights. Spotlessly clean, well-equipped, and the owner Ivana is super nice, always ready to help and answer your questions about the amazing Kotor and she provides airport transfers herself. If I ever come back to Montenegro, I'll sure book La Vida again. Great choice.
The apartment was super clean, fully equipped, cosy and quiet, located just in walking distance to supermarket, shopping center and old town. The owners are wonderful, within first moment you meet them you feel like you just visited your close relatives. Thank you Jovan and Sonja for such a pleasant experience that we had visiting your country for the first time. Definitely staying there again next time we are in Montenegro. Highly recommended 👍
New and stylish hotel! Just in the front on Dobrota promenade!
Landlord is very nice and helpful! Everything is great!
Studio apartment has large terrace with a view on Kotor bay and sunbeds, table, and jacuzzi! Everything is very clean! The room has kitchen with all staff! All is like on the pictures on booking!
Location is great! Old town and most attractions in 10 min walk! Very beautiful hotel! Highly recommend!
- Awesome location, looking out of your window to see the Bay of Kotor in all it's glory
- The pool and 'beach'
- The internet was great, in your room, by the pool and even on the beach
- Breakfast was great
- The female receptionist was very good, organised a private tour guide for us who was awesome (Lovcen NP, Centinje, Lipa Cave and Sveti Stefan, with lots of information and great level of English)
The apartment is in a great location. I liked how it was not in the old town and you can see a different side of kotor along the marina with a stunning view but also it was very walkable to the old town. It’s a very modern apartment with everything you need . I loved how clean it was and the host is very nice and kind. I would like to return and stay longer in future
The hotel is located just outside Kotor old city with a huge balcony overlooking old town. The apartment has a lounge and huge bathroom. The breakfast was served well after some confusion over the menu. It takes about a few minutes to get to the old city via a city gate. A shopping centre is just opposite the hotel though we did not have time to visit.
The room was spacious, light and clean. It felt like a little piece of luxury after a few days of exploring the national parks. We particularly liked the sunny terrace where they served breakfast. The location of the hotel is also perfect for exploring Kotor old town as you're right in the middle of things.
The location, the views of the sea, the rooms are huge! Love this hotel. It's perfect for exploring Old Town, and hikes to the top of the mountain. Kotor is a very special place. You are very centrally located to everything! I'll definitely stay here again! The free breakfast is outstanding.
Studio Konos is runned by 2 brothers who are really kind people. If you are coming to Montenegro by plane, they can pick you up from Tivat airport and drive you to the studio which is located at the beginning of the old town... away from the noise! We definitely recommend studio Konos!
Very friendly and welcoming host. Gave us good advices for meals and is knowledgeable of the history of the city and Montenegro. Perfect stay for multiple days, walking distance from good restaurants and the old town and far enough from the docked cruise ships.
The rooms, kitchen and bathroom are really very clean and the employees are very polite, thoughtful and friendly. you can find everything you need. Location: 1 minute walk to market, beach, old town Kotor. Cleanliness 10/10. I recommend.
It was a hotel with very warm, helpful and friendly staff where we would stay with my wife, mother and father. The rooms were clean. If I come to Kotor again I will definitely stay here. It is located in the heart of the old town.
This was beautiful, safe apartment located in the heart of the old town. Great value for money, easy check in and will stay here again if we come back. Most comfortable bed on our entire trip through Croatia and Montenegro.
At the Old Wine House Montenegro we stepped back in time in the Old Town.
This house was built in the 12th Century as a wine and olive oil warehouse.
Truly amazing to live with so much history around us. Fascinating.
The apartment is excellent spacious and cozy. There is a store in the building for food and drinks and it's 10-15 minutes walk from Kotor Old Town. The hosts are very nice and helpful. Will be sure coming back!
Very close to the old town of Kotor. Parking lot in the bus station inside, is free.
The interior of the apartment is very good and the owner is very enthusiastic to help solve the problem.
Very charming hotel in old town Kotor. A very old building with history but renovated with the most modern amenities. Close to everything. Value for money.
