Not too far a drive from the main JB area. Our second time booking this place as we liked one of the food options just nearby the hotel. Room was clean and tidy with the basic amenities, and a large open shelf to place our belongings. Located near a big supermarket just 5 minutes walk away, and a small convenience store just across the street. Appreciated the hospitality as we were quickly checked in almost close to midnight, and the late check out time of 12pm.

The 2nd largest city in Malaysia, Johor Bahru is busy establishing its own identity separate from the capital of Kuala Lumpur. After years of existing as an important industrial hub and gateway to Singapore, new building developments and cheap shopping are attracting international tourists to Eurasia’s southernmost city.
Johor Bahru, sometimes shortened to JB, has a varied assortment of religious and royal buildings within its centre. The Istana Besar (Great Palace) overlooks the Straits of Johor, Sultan Abu Bakar State Mosque reveals old colonial influences with its Victorian architecture, and there is the Hindu glass temple, Arulmigu Sri Rajakaliamman.
Not just a transit point anymore, Johor has recently boosted its tourist attractions resulting in the building of 2 new theme parks, Legoland Malaysia and Puteri Harbour Family Theme Park. Many Singaporeans make the journey across the Johor-Singapore Causeway to take advantage of these new facilities and shop at malls like the City Square Shopping Complex.
Senai International Airport services domestic tourism and some international flights. Booking.com has a wide range of hotels to help you plan for that city trip, family holiday or business meeting.

A little away fom JB town centre but with a car & apt next to Paradigm Mall, it was a good experience. We went to nearby Sutera Mall where locals frequent, drove to Austin Hills, Mid Valley Southkey, KSL Mall.

I like visiting Johor Bahru for shopping, massages, movies and eating. Aeon shopping center and Thai Odyssey Massage are great. There are other fun activities in the area with Lego Land and golf. Getting around is easy with your own car. Grab transport service is also available. I would not stay here as a commute to Singapore activities though. The immigration process can be unpredictable with timing. We spent nearly 4 hours in traffic jam from Singapore to Johor Bahru. Then 1 hour Johor Bahru to Singapore.

Went in for the Ramadan vibes.
Went in for the Ramadan vibes. Highly recommend to hire your own personal driver esp those with kids or big families. It’s congested during this season so save the trouble of getting stuck and waste time find parking lot.
Met a very extreme rude indrive driver (Wong, gray myvi, plate number i shall not say) and I genuinely didn’t know the traffic law that baby is included in the headcount and we can’t book normal car for 3 adult with 2 small toddlers, no baggage. Normally we did that, drivers never reject or say anything. He think we act stupid and kept scolding us. I was so traumatised and luckily we manage to get a personal driver and he drove us around Msia till our last day and up till Singapore.

Can improve the bus transport with connectivities to...
Can improve the bus transport with connectivities to different locations. for example, you take a bus to terbau Aeon but from there you cannot go to another location say Bukit Indah. You need to take the same bus back to bus terminal to take another bus to the said destination. The train experience on boarding takes too long for 1 minute ride. Why do you need 1 hour interval to do a minute job? It should be able to ply every 15 minutes instead of 1 hour and more. No wonder you cannot ferry large number of commuters in a day, month and year. With high frequency of trains, you don't need to book tickets, it should be like taking a Mrt Tape in and tape out instead of wasting time checking ticket.

There are a lot of interesting places there such as Legoland and beaches. If you stay in the city centre you can go the Stulang Laut to have seafood there. It is easy to get around there but avoid in the morning and evening when the workers go to work and return home.
The hotel's location was good for me as it's quiet and away from the hustle bustle of things.
The hotel provides shuttle services to and back from the town centre, which makes it ideal for town walking and roaming around.
The staff are pleasantly accommodating & helpful.
I love the size of the hotel as it's cosy, personal and intimate. It's also safe as everyone knows each other.
Breakfast is good.
Room is clean.
I give thumbs up for this hotel and will make this hotel my choice of hotel when am in JB.
We start from below, i like how the bell boy always greets us every time we met, asking how we are, had our lunch, etc. He should get some rewards for being so generous. Every 4 star hotel needs a person like him to lighten up all the guest day. The receptionist was friendly too! Not much about receptionists as not always we see them. The room was so big! Compared to the website picture! The breakfast was great too. Location wise was so convenient! Will definitely come back again.
The apartment was spotless, comfortable and came with all the usual amenities you would expect to have at a homestay. Great value for money as well for big groups. We stayed in a large apartment with 4 bedrooms, for a fraction of the price it would have cost in a full service hotel. Owners were also very responsive to answer questions via WhatsApp, and also pretty detailed with their check in and check out instructions.
Don't judge a book from its cover... From outside, it's look budget hotel... But when you enter the room.. Wow.. It's like 4 stars hotel. The room is spacious, the beds are comfortable and there is bathtub (my kids love this 😁)
Location is good. 5 minutes walk to RnF mall where can find many yummy food there. Very near to JB CIQ
Highly recommend if you are looking for budget hotel.
Everything about our stay was great. It's not the same luxury type of hotel here in the Philippines but our stay was very comfortable, very budget-friendly, and staff was easy to communicate with. The room was also very clean and spacious. We stayed at 3 hotels for our trip but this was the best. I would consider coming back. :)
Location is in walking distance to JB Sentral, with bus terminal, train station, and shopping area. Although not the very best, at least the breakfast has more variants (multiple options for the juice, jam, bread, etc) than my previous hotel near Senai. Both the reception and breakfast staffs are helpful and friendly.
Everything from room to food...so comfortable..spacious...love the room lighting as well...cozy..oooh I enjoy listening to the soothing music provided by the hotel on the television..I sleep with the music on..so peaceful.
Having previously stayed there a few times. My stay at Hotel Grand Paragon always meets my expectations. The room is spacious and clean. Staff are friendly and patient to explain things to you. Overall a wonderful stay.
The view from our room is nice. Just opposite the jetty. Kids enjoyed watching the boats. The swimming pool is ok. The location is ok, near the town. There is starbucks, kenny rogers and duty free shop down the hotel.
This is my first Hilton experience and it really exceeded my expectations. Excellent breakfast, warm welcoming and the room was very clean. It's probably one of the best hotels you can find in JB central area.
One of the best budget hotel you can get in JB. Strategic location to the city centre.
p/s: please dont use Agoda to book hotel. Useless! use booking.com instead
For the price it's very good and spacious and good location. You can get one of the best ramly burgers in malaysia nearby hotel. So that's a huge plus.
