Good value for money. We did not try out the breakfast, not included in the room rate. Easy and free parking on the streets next to the hotel

Large modern rooms, comfy beds with a nice large bathroom, friendly staff! I have stayed here 4 times now and have never been disappointed! I would move into this hotel if I could! 😁

I didn't know what to expect but picked Leeuwarden as a central spot for exploring Friesland. It is a beautiful town that is the perfect size to get around easily. There was so much more to do here than I expected and could easily have stayed for a week or more without getting bored. It was easy to walk to great museums, restaurants and shopping.
My children highly recommended the Nature Museum which was very interactive and good for children of all ages and adults too.
We enjoyed shopping in the Blokhuispoort and taking to the artisans about their sustainability story.
We stayed at the Post Plaza Hotel and highly recommend it.
Next time, I will go in spring/summer/fall and rent a bike to explore even more. Very bike friendly city.

The city is a perfect example of how to combine the old with the new. The architecture is very nice to observe, the people are friendly, there's a lot going on on the streets so it's never boring and there are also a lot of quiet places by the canals where you can get a moment of rest. There are not a lot of things that would be specifically aimed at tourists which adds a very nice wibe as you get the sense that the atmosphere is very genuine.

Friesland is a beautiful area of the Netherlands.
Friesland is a beautiful area of the Netherlands. Leeuwarden itself is a busy tourist town with lots of things to see and lots of shops and restaurants. Like many of the surrounding villages (for example Franeker) it is full of old, historic buildings. The sea is not far away and you should definitely try a guided mud walk (wadlopen) when the tide is out.
A few kilometers to the south of Leeuwarden you will find De Alde Feanen National Park. Rent a bike in Grou and cycle along one of the many marked cycle routes.

I've only stayed two days for a conference, it wasn't sufficient to discover the town.
From what I could experience, Leeuwarden is a pleasant place with historical sites. It's great for walking and biking, has a lot of restaurants for all the tastes.
At the same time, everything is quite expensive, from accommodation to food.

This was a very charming little city, with lovely, bricklined streets, a stunning architecture, and lovely, local businesses lining broad streets with canals running down the middle. I didn't eat 'out' while I was there, I just purchased food from the various supermarkets, which provided excellent fare for a reasonable price.
This is an exceedingly easy city to get around in. The historic "core" is small and compact and easily walkable.

I went there to visit a friend.
I went there to visit a friend. I stayed on Monday night and I was told Mondays are quiet as many places close on Mondays. But I enjoyed the quiet surroundings indeed.
Yes, it is small but lovely. And it is easy to get around. Well, avoid Monday as most places close on Monday.
The Hotel is newly renovated. The rooms have the correct size, a beautiful bathroom, a nespresso machine and smart functions. The parking is free and big enough. Even though not in the town centre, its a nice 15min walk.
Notiz Hotel is part of the Hotel School NHL Stenden and is integrated in the campus. The staff are mostly students in training. The breakfast is generous, no buffet but with a lot of selection.
Location and comfort. We were in Leeuwarden for a specific event. So long as you pay for extras you get what you hope for. The residence is very nice although the decor is a bit odd. Our stay was a single night and we only asked for early check-in, which we did get. The experience is all highly impersonal. An easy way to NHL Stenden for graduation ceremony. An easy walk to restaurants in the evening.
location is great; 5 minutes drive from centre or a 20 minute walk.
The hotel borders a main road, which is very busy but if you do not open the windows you wouldn't know!!!
Staff is friendly and helpful, bed is very comfortable.
If you want to stay close to the centre this is the nicest hotel to do so.
very well sign posted!
Private parking at the hotel is great!!
Very Nice Hotel in a Central Area. Good Parking Opportunities close to the Hotel. Room was nice with enough Space, clean on arrival. Only one bed was very unconfortable, but due to only a one night stay nothing too important. Breakfast was solid with everything needed.
Very beautiful and comfortable room, just like on the pictures! Everything was very clean and spacious, we loved it! Included is breakfast in a nearby hotel and the food is amazing! The contact with the host was uncomplicated and very nice
Great location that is central enough to have easy access to everything but not too central that there could be noise issues; very nice hotel with amazing decor and ambience; room was great with the exception of no closets or desk space.
I really liked the hotel, it changed a lot in a positive way when I last time visited. Lovely people at the hotel and all students which is amazing. Breakfast was incredible and fresh. We ate A la carte and was able to order everything.
Location of the room was great! We looked on the fountain and a part of the city. It is a great hotel for a weekend at Leeuwarden and the price quality is good.
