It was so beautiful, a luxery feel and look and so big and just my best stay ever and not even expensive compared to other hotels in that time. It had everything you could need (coffeemachine and stationary supplies even bodylotion)

The most convenient airport for both domestic and international travellers is Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, due to its extensive flight network. It's approximately 20 kilometres from Zaandam, making it a short journey.

A nice area, clean and well kept. Easy transport links into the city and to other nearby towns.
Enjoyed a visit to the windmill area, which was a cultural experience, lots to do.
Found eating a task, only because we wanted more traditional, national food, which we found hard to come by.

The Russian Tzar House is a must visit.
The Russian Tzar House is a must visit. It is the oldest house in Netherlands, preserved in very good conditions. You will learn a lot. The Zaan Museum also. The Zaanse Schans it is for one whole day or two days visit. A lot of museums. It is very nice. And if it is good wind you are going to smell only chocolate in the air. The bakery just in front of the bridge is having the most delicious patisserie. The restaurants around have great food, nice personnel.

I stayed in Zaandam to get out of the tourist hustle and bustle of Amsterdam. I liked it's proximity to the train connections which were close by and easy to use. It was nice to see another part of Amsterdam. The shopping areas and cafes / restaurants in Zaandam were really good.

There's a lovely canal with shops & restaurants on either side. You have a choice of fast food, healthier options or traditional Dutch dishes. The area is quiet at night, when the day trippers have left. It's a pretty town with interesting architectural styles. It was my first visit & I will be back. It's easy to travel by train to Amsterdam & other destinations & trains are fairly frequent. My hotel was within easy walking distance of the station & the shops mentioned above. The Albert Heijn supermarket is open 7 days a week until 10pm.
The staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful. They spoke fluent Dutch and English too and always had a smile on their faces.
The room was spacious, good value for money, clean and had everything in it that one would need on a trip. Snacks, drinks and food was available from reception, and breakfast was also available. A perfect stay for one person, a couple or a group looking for somewhere simple but cosy to stay.
Was also very well situated, easy to get to Amsterdam by public transport, and the centre of Zaandam.
I stayed for 6 nights with my family of 2 kids. The cottage has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, full equipped kitchen, living room with TV and audio. Demian and Agata live next door, easy to get connected in case needed. My kids are big fan of the cottage. Location wise is very good, 2 stops away from Amsterdam Centraal by Intercity or Sprinter. Zaandam itself is a very good neighbourhood to bring kids. Close to Dekamart, Albert Heijn and Zaandam city center. Our stay in Holland has been memorable!
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was reasonably sized and the bed was comfortable. Housekeeping kept the room clean and provided clean towels. The shower was comfortably large vs some places we have stayed. Overall the hotel environment was very professional, clean and welcoming. The train to downtown Amsterdam or the airport is right next door and easy to use. There is almost no noise from the trains which was pleasantly surprising.
The staff, notably Kelly was wonderful and hospitability during my stay. She was quite funny too. For the last minute booking, the price and hotel amenities were excellent! I also really appreciated the all you can eat continental breakfast the hotel provided for a reasonable 9 euros. The breakfast consisted of various spreads, pastries, bread, boiled egg, cereal, juices, coffee, teas and slice meats. I'm very happy with my stay at B&B Zaandam.
Beautiful views of the windmills from your bedroom. Comfortable beds, nice updated bathrooms. Quaint dining room/living space where you get your breakfast and beautiful courtyards on the water. Easy walking distance to shopping, restaurants and market. The host was beyond friendly! So quiet and peaceful, truly the most amazing and unique experience. A way better option than staying in the city plus the train station is only a 15 min walk.
The obvious attraction is the unique building but the hotel is also attractive inside too. Modern, comfortable rooms and gym/pool/sauna are free to use. Super friendly staff and good value compared with similar in Amsterdam. Great choice at buffet breakfast, a more limited menu for evening but there are
lots of eating places in Zaandam, within a few minutes walk. Situated near the train and bus stations.
This is a very convenient hotel, with many facilities that make for an easy stay. The location in Zaandam is really excellent, only 5 minutes away from the train on foot, and with many many shops and restaurants right outside. It feels a bit business like, clean but somewhat unpersonal. The view was really good, on the 11th floor. But for the price, it was an excellent value for what we got.
Really nice location in a cool little square surrounded by restaurants. Nice calm spot away from central Amsterdam, but easy to get there (10 minute walk then 10 minutes on a very regular train).
Rooms were modern, light, comfortable, and very clean.
There's no reception desk but the staff in the attached restaurant were very helpful when we needed it.
The hotel is located very close to the train and bus station. The staff was very helpful. Forgetting that it was a Sunday & because we had to leave out early, We walked into the breakfast venue 1 hour earlier than the actual time, even then the staff in the restaurant let us have whatever was ready at that moment. All the staff were very kind and helpful.
Much cheaper alternative than staying in Amsterdam, Zaandam is quite a nice town and only 2 stops on the train from central Amsterdam. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was very nice. Hotel is next to some nice cafes and restaurants and a nice shopping centre.
Best Western Inn Hotel Zaandam is the best place is the to accomodate in Amsterdam, why?
- The place has unique and beautiful buildings,
- 2 minutes to train station,
- 10 minutes to Amsterdam Center by train,
- Free parking,
- The hospitality of the Hotel staff.
The hotel was in a great location, easy to reach Zaandam center by foot. Also, Amsterdam is easily reachable by taxi or by train. I believe the value for money is great compared with other hotels from the Amsterdam area.
The hotel is in a good location, Zaandam has lots of shops and restaurants and the train is super close to take you into Amsterdam central.
The beds were not comfortable and the pillows were shocking
The location is super...just walking by to the town centre which is the main attraction of Zaandam. We didn't take the breakfast because there are a lot of choices around the hotel that we tried some
Perfect place for stay, clean and comfortable, the staff were so nice and helpful
20min away from the center of Amsterdam and the center down the hotel is so beautiful
Easy to found out for good hotel is golden zaan. They are having wonderful bed and rick breakfast. The most beautiful was the rooftop pool. High recommend!!
