The Inn is ideally located, a short walk to Durbar Square with temples and museum and the Magal Bazaar
The staff helped every day arrange our trips and organize drivers for us.
Laundry service was fast and great.
Once we walked down the alley to the Inn, all of the bustle and sounds of the city faded away and we were at peace.

The breakfasts were delicious and nicely served. The breakfast location in the courtyard was amazing. The location was wonderful as we could easily enjoy the heart of Patan and the Durbar square area. The front desk staff were really helpful, especially arranging taxis and a ride to the airport when we left.

Patan is very historic with a beautiful square with incredible buildings and temples. Also lots of eateries and places to drink, some wirh fantastic views over the square (we liked Drishya). Frequent festivals, saw an amazing procession on 1st night.
Nice shops selling souvenirs and far less hassle than in Thamel. Beautiful pond nearby. Exquisite night and day. Amazing Golden Temple nearby. Closes down early, places to eat mostly shut by 9pm. Foreign tourists are asked to pay to enter square in most of daylight hours even just to walk through, you can use side alleys to avoid this if you just want eg to go to taxi rank. One street is being dug up by the side of the square so yo sometimes taxis have a longer route round. Pathao and InDrive are 2 useful apps for travel.

It's one of my favorite destinations.
It's one of my favorite destinations. In this city, you don't even need to aim at "scenic sites." There are a lot of antient temples and charming sites randomly scattering in the street corners. It's not as heavily influenced by tourism as other areas in the region. People are very friendly.

I stayed for around 3 days; 1-2 days are adequate to explore the well-known historical sites of Patan (Patan Darbur Square, Patan Museum, the numerous temples), and are all in walking distance. Old Patan is rich in culture; the buildings are adorned with intricate Newari carvings, and the Darbur Square built 2000 years ago is still very much alive with activity. The Patan Museum, converted from an old palace, is also a must-see.
Patan is safe - I had asked the locals, and also generally felt safe on the streets. When it rains, some streets might get muddy/have some level of muddy water.

The main square and buildings are absolutely super.
The main square and buildings are absolutely super. Loved gazing at them. I would not say the price of the fee to Westerners is justified though. It's not really set up for Westerners as far as the food shops go. There is a few. But to many dirty food places. We're the hygiene incentive just does not exist. As far a bleach goes it does not cost that much to much. So there is no excuse for the level of filth I this day and age at a tourist place attraction of any kind. Patan fix up with the bleach

The apartment was steps away from the main (Durbar) square.
The apartment was steps away from the main (Durbar) square. Great view from the rooftop patio! Restaurant choices around the corner for every taste and budget. The museum is small but really worth seeing. Beautiful temples and, after the quake, much excellent repairs and restoration everywhere. Lots of little shops, places to dawdle. Good gold jewelry shops, coffee shops, groceries and everything else. Loved the atmosphere, even after being 'in love' with Bhaktapur in previous visits. Nice to spend 2 full days there. Info: Patan, like Bhaktapur, is a UNESCO site, so an entry fee is charged to walk around the main area and this includes the museum. Ask for special validation stamp if staying more than one day. Support what UNESCO is doing!!

Patan is one of my favourite places to explore.
Patan is one of my favourite places to explore. Around every corner is another historical building, temple, shrine etc..
You can spend hours getting lost down the narrow streets. I highly recommend visiting. Especially the Durbar Square and restaurants nearby for a great view.
The place is as shown in the photos by the host also really really close to patan Durbarsquare. The bedroom ,kitchen and the lounge is very cozy plus the couch is super cute cozy and vibrant. Bathroom could be better but its good nonetheless. The bedrooms are provided with AC but not the lounge . There were microwave fridge oven stove and washing machine along with the required utensils ,you’ll have no trouble cooking. We had an amazing time and the host was super nice and welcoming
The staff was really friendly and helpful, especially Garima. The beds are simple but comfy, with super soft blankets. It's the closest hostel to Patan Durbar Square that I could find on booking, about 10 min walking to get there.
As the family just started the hostel, facilities are basic but newly renovated, so very clean and in good condition. They told me they have great plans to furnish and decorate the rooftop terrace to create a more cozy common area.
This is a wonderful heritage house in Patan run by a family, a short walk from the Darbar square and in a lively but quiet old quarter of the town. It wasn't the kind of hotel we expected, but the totally personalized service won us over. The rooms were wonderful (a little overcrowded) but had everything: fridge, air conditioning, kettle, wifi, clean linen. But most of all it had the family who make and serve the breakfast, and help you in all kinds of ways.
From the moment I arrived I felt like a valued guest Meet all my expectations it was a really good feeling I hope to stay longer for next time..🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻I talk with owner he was really friendly and helpful. His hospitality was really great He gave us a really good price while staying in a hotel. I am really grateful to talk to the owner . Looking forward to staying in this hotel again thank u 👍🏻👍🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Amazing location, right in the heart of Patan. One level is stairs to go up, so not accessible if you’re disabled.
Temple right out side your window which was beautiful, though the bells are quite loud especially in the morning. The host was lovely. Very helpful having a washing machine. Though they need a new washing line as the one there is broken.
Overall lovely place to stay short term!
Hotel in the center of Patan, excellent for visiting hall the different temple around, whit a big variety of restaurant and bar around to enjoy. The Host and his family are really friendly, nice to speak whit them in the morning while having breakfast on the beautiful terrace on the top of the building, where you can enjoy also the view of Patan and If lucky also the mountain around Kathmandu.
Excellent location, so central yet set back from the street, such a quiet place.
The bed and pillows were so comfy; a large bathroom with space to lay things out.
At first we thought breakfast at a different property would be a problem, in fact the breakfast was excellent, led us to have a wonderful evening meal there too. Also, it was good to see Patan earlier in the day, beautiful light too!
Location great, loved that it was down an alleyway. Was nice and quiet, while still being able to hear the day to day life of Patan. A stones throw away from all the must see spots of Patan and a short taxi to Kathmandu central. Food - exceptional. Gorgeous room and staff - amazing.
Loved my stay at the Inn Patan. Great Boutique hotel.

Excellent location in Patan old town; home feeling in a traditional house; very welcoming and helpful staff; stylish nicely decorated room; good Nepali breakfast. Excellent value for money. Hira Guesthouse is a very special, highly recommended place to stay in Patan.
The rooms were extremely comfortable and the setting in Patan near Durbar Square was very peaceful. (It also made it simple to walk 3 minutes to find a taxi!) My family loved the breakfasts as well. This is one of our favorite places we've ever booked on Booking.com
A great heritage building very close to Patan Durbar Square. Superb breakfast. Although in the centre, there is a lovely peaceful garden courtyard. The hotel is relatively quiet despite being so near a very busy road. Helpful staff. Very clean room and bathroom.
The room is well decorated and spacious. All necessary items are available in the kitchen. The location is very favorable just 5 mins walking distance from Patan Durbar Square. The owner is very friendly and kind. Its a great place to stay. Highly recommended!
The hotel is located in a small courtyard, and very cosy. The staff were exceptional and very helpful, and pleassant and polite. Walking around the hotel provides a glimpse in the lives of the locals
The staff was kind and helpful. The location perfectly overlooks Patan Durbar Square. The room was clean and comfortable with good AC. The breakfasts were tasty as well 😊
It's very ideal for an authentic experience in Patan. It's run by a lovely family who are very helpful, kind and polite to us. I highly recommend them.
