The Inn Patan, hotel in Pātan

Boasting a garden, The Inn Patan is located in Patan. Featuring a 24-hour front desk, this property also provides guests with a terrace and courtyard. The hotel offers a Nepalese restaurant.

The Inn is ideally located, a short walk to Durbar Square with temples and museum and the Magal Bazaar The staff helped every day arrange our trips and organize drivers for us. Laundry service was fast and great. Once we walked down the alley to the Inn, all of the bustle and sounds of the city faded away and we were at peace.

Patan is very historic with a beautiful square with incredible buildings and temples. Also lots of eateries and places to drink, some wirh fantastic views over the square (we liked Drishya). Frequent festivals, saw an amazing procession on 1st night. Nice shops selling souvenirs and far less hassle than in Thamel. Beautiful pond nearby. Exquisite night and day. Amazing Golden Temple nearby. Closes down early, places to eat mostly shut by 9pm. Foreign tourists are asked to pay to enter square in most of daylight hours even just to walk through, you can use side alleys to avoid this if you just want eg to go to taxi rank. One street is being dug up by the side of the square so yo sometimes taxis have a longer route round. Pathao and InDrive are 2 useful apps for travel.

It's one of my favorite destinations.

It's one of my favorite destinations. In this city, you don't even need to aim at "scenic sites." There are a lot of antient temples and charming sites randomly scattering in the street corners. It's not as heavily influenced by tourism as other areas in the region. People are very friendly.

I stayed for around 3 days; 1-2 days are adequate to explore the well-known historical sites of Patan (Patan Darbur Square, Patan Museum, the numerous temples), and are all in walking distance. Old Patan is rich in culture; the buildings are adorned with intricate Newari carvings, and the Darbur Square built 2000 years ago is still very much alive with activity. The Patan Museum, converted from an old palace, is also a must-see. Patan is safe - I had asked the locals, and also generally felt safe on the streets. When it rains, some streets might get muddy/have some level of muddy water.

The main square and buildings are absolutely super.

The main square and buildings are absolutely super. Loved gazing at them. I would not say the price of the fee to Westerners is justified though. It's not really set up for Westerners as far as the food shops go. There is a few. But to many dirty food places. We're the hygiene incentive just does not exist. As far a bleach goes it does not cost that much to much. So there is no excuse for the level of filth I this day and age at a tourist place attraction of any kind. Patan fix up with the bleach

The apartment was steps away from the main (Durbar) square.

The apartment was steps away from the main (Durbar) square. Great view from the rooftop patio! Restaurant choices around the corner for every taste and budget. The museum is small but really worth seeing. Beautiful temples and, after the quake, much excellent repairs and restoration everywhere. Lots of little shops, places to dawdle. Good gold jewelry shops, coffee shops, groceries and everything else. Loved the atmosphere, even after being 'in love' with Bhaktapur in previous visits. Nice to spend 2 full days there. Info: Patan, like Bhaktapur, is a UNESCO site, so an entry fee is charged to walk around the main area and this includes the museum. Ask for special validation stamp if staying more than one day. Support what UNESCO is doing!!

Patan is one of my favourite places to explore. Around every corner is another historical building, temple, shrine etc.. You can spend hours getting lost down the narrow streets. I highly recommend visiting. Especially the Durbar Square and restaurants nearby for a great view.

Martina and her Family are really the best hosts. They invited us to celebrate and have dinner on the rooftop terrace. We’ve had many really inspiring conversations with the other guests and got to know a lot of insider knowledge. Very interesting!!! The view on patan durbar square from the balcony and terrace are breathtaking and the breakfast in the morning couldn’t be better. Kathmandu is such a vibrant and fascinating city. From exploring this magical town you’ll be happy to come back home to this wonderful and peaceful place.

The staffs were very friendly and helpful. Due to some delays in my flight, I had to check-in at a very late hour but the friendly host at Karuna Hotel stayed back to accommodate us. The included breakfast exceeded our expectations as well. Overall, a lovely place with great vintage vibes complimented by exceptional guest service that I would recommend to anyone looking for a temporary stay in Kathmandu.

I loved how quiet, clean and authentic this lovely guest house was, perfect for my first stay in Patan. My room had clearly been recently refurbished so it felt extra comfortable. The bathroom was modern and spotless. It took a while to get used to the low ceilings - tall people beware! The property is very close to the main attractions in Patan - perfect for popping back for a rest during the day.

Amazing location, right in the heart of Patan. One level is stairs to go up, so not accessible if you’re disabled. Temple right out side your window which was beautiful, though the bells are quite loud especially in the morning. The host was lovely. Very helpful having a washing machine. Though they need a new washing line as the one there is broken. Overall lovely place to stay short term!

Location great, loved that it was down an alleyway. Was nice and quiet, while still being able to hear the day to day life of Patan. A stones throw away from all the must see spots of Patan and a short taxi to Kathmandu central. Food - exceptional. Gorgeous room and staff - amazing. Loved my stay at the Inn Patan.
