Wow what a place! The view is AMAZING (we were lucky to have clear skies) - definitely spring for a room with a view. We were double upgraded to a suite that was just to die for - incredible view of the mountains. The staff is incredible - attentive & friendly, genuinely want to make sure you have the best stay. I emailed before our stay to arrange airport pickup and spa services and everyone was so pleasant and timely over email.
This place is brand new (there's still some construction going on, but that didn't get in the way of our stay) so you can tell the staff is eager to get feedback and make sure all is perfect. The spa was heavenly - we got two massages (some of the best I've ever had) and a sound bath (my partner said he had an "out of body experience," which I think is the highest compliment).
We just felt so calm and attended to during our entire stay. Would love to return!

Only point in going is for the views you might get if you take the Steps, though you'll have to pay 100 R. . Not a very tourist friendly place and little to see, but people helpful and friendly. Ate at hotel so so food. The main road is painful. Small enough place to walk round. Better to go to Nargakot for same views even though we now have to pay 350 R to get into town.

Lots of good hiking and bicycling options.
Lots of good hiking and bicycling options. Lots of hotels around from all price ranges. Although we were not in the season to see the Himalayas (too much cloud-cover), still the nearby hills and villages were beautiful.

Dont stay in Dhulikhel proper, stay in a peaceful village nearby as I did to relax and escape noisy and dusty Kathmandu for some peaceful relaxation. Good for trekking and enjoying the real reason to come to Nepal, mountains, nature, scenery. If you stay outside Dhulikhel (as you should), its not that easy to get around if you don't like trekking (if so, what are you doing in Nepal?) so be sure to stay in a hotel that provides good food. Its a nice trek to Namo Buddha from here.

Dhulikhel is a small town just 1.5hours from Kathmandu (KTM). It's a nice place to relax and be out of noisy and crowdy streeds of KTM. and there are a few things to do - hiking to Namo Budha, around Dhulikel, hike to Shanti Ban, cycling around.
I had a pleasant stay in Namobuddha Hotel n Lodge. The accommodation offers an amazing few to impressive hills and beautiful nature. It is situated close to the monastery and other places of interest. Palden and his wife are very lovely hosts. They try to improve and take good care of their costumers. Delicious food is served. Rooms are basic and clean. Bathroom is shared.
I appreciated very much talking with Palden; he was a buddhist monk before and is really very knowledgeable and kind.
Its a wonderfull hotel, superb. The view of the Himalayas is amazing. The people who work there, so friendly, warm and kind. I am sure I will return. I think this is one of the best hotel that I have ever even. The rooms, the cleanest, the food is fantastic, the view, the facilities, its proximity with Namobudha Monastery. There you can walk around and get recharged with full energy.
One of the many things I love about Nepal is extremely humble and welcoming people...

Thanku so much for such an amazing Stay
Lovely place to stay very close to Dhulikhel, a good start to explore the area and have long walks around villages and fields. The owner is the perfect host, he can help you to organize your trip and he is an experienced trekking guide. Also the food is good and fresh.
Absolutely nothing. This stay was the worst stay I have ever had in a hotel and I have stayed in many across the east. If you’re considering staying here please read my whole review and then please go and stay somewhere else to save yourself a horrid time!
Lovely farm and family, comfortable room and communal spaces. Easily accessible by public transit from Kathmandu and good hiking once you’ve arrived. A wonderful place to stay and learn about agriculture, meet other travelers, and eat Nepali meals.
Gaia Holiday home offered a stunning panoramic view of the Himalayas. The beds were comfortable and we enjoyed the balcony. The staff was very friendly and the food was excellent - best chicken curry in Dhulikhel!
the room was big and comfortable for a family.
good view of the hills.

the breakfast and food were very nice and the kitchen was wonderful.
The biggest asset of this hotel were the friendly and extremely polite staffs! The location and the view from our room was just great! Totally enjoyed our stay!
