Hotel was perfect for our needs.
We arrived at 5.30am and luckily for us the room was ready and the guy on reception let us check in, we are really grateful for that.
Location was close to a main road so it was easy for bus/tour pick ups and easy walking distance to the main square. Each night they would ask what time we would be having breakfast, on both occasions were leaving early 4/5am and so they had take away lunch packs ready for us when we were leaving!

Very nice city, we liked the vibe much more than in Cusco. Picanterias are exceptional, volcanoes’ views are fascinating. Mummy museum is great experience. Unfortunately , we didn’t have time to visit Colca canyon so need to come back

Arequipa is a very nice city different from the other cities in Peru, a very clean and welcoming town. I think it has a lot to offer from the mountains to the coast! Colca canyon is a must! Amazing place to relax and enjoy the mountains and the peaceful towns. Downtown is also really nice with good restaurants, cafes, museums and nice churches that are open to visit in the day. There are also nice typical restaurants around the city where they serve local and delicious dishes. Arequipa is totally recommended for 2 to 4 days.

Nice city with an attractive historical centre with Santa Catalina Monastery the absolute top attraction, an amazing place with an amazing history. Do not miss a trip to Colca Canyon to see the condors, that is amazing and this is one of the few places in the world where you can see condors. Another must see site is The founder of Arequipa (Garci Manuel de Carbajal) mansion, about 20 km outside the city. In two to three days you will be able to cover the above mentioned attractions.

A beautiful city!
A beautiful city! Lots of culinary options to choose from, especially in the city center around Plaza des Armas! If you need to try anything in particular, go for Kam Thai Cuisine and Mumis for their tasting course, as well as for Pachamanca at Don Beto a bit outside of the city center.
Anything you need can be reached by foot, also, the taxis are reliable.
The guides of all the tours were well trained and gave you all the information needed!
I can only recommend going to Arequipa if you have the chance, for my part, I'll certainly come back one day :)
climbing Nevado Chachani, Laguna Salinas, climbing Ubinas vulcano
La Lecoreta Monastery with Museum and Library, Mercado san Camilo, Viewpoint Square in the Yanahuara District, Santa Catalina Monastery Complex, Santuarios Andinos University Museum with the Juanita Mummy
Everything is a little different at this boutique hotel. My room was on 2 levels. A sitting area down below and a bedroom up 4 steps. As long as you remember during the night on the way to the bathroom, it's all good.
Another difference, breakfast is served in your room after you pick your items. Again, an individual choice if that's a plus or a minus. I liked it.
Staff spoke limited English, but was very nice and helpful.
Shower was better than most in Peru. Good hot water and good flow.
A beautiful 1950’s home filled with antiques and books, Casa Arequipa was a wonderful 5 day stop for us. Eddy and the staff provided a warm and helpful welcome! Breakfasts on the rooftop terrace were among the best we’ve had. The full pot of French press coffee was something we looked forward to. A 1 or 1.5 km walk to the historic centre provided all the sites, restaurants and cafes. It was nice to be in a neighborhood rather than a commercial area.
the owner and his family amazingly nice people. They arranged everything for me in Arequipa, canyon tour, taxi…
and everything was with a fair price
the hotel is really clean, quiet, good wifi, everyday they clean the rooms which is exceptional for Peru
it is 10 mins to the plaza de armes and inside a nice quarter, nice walk to the city centre
they have big, clean, nice kitchen and even they have a rooftop that you can watch sunsets there
Visited Peru for a total of 2 weeks and this hotel had by far the best pillows and bed. Super comfortable and I wish we would have stayed more than one night. The rooftop restaurant was incredible for both breakfast and dinner! Just wish people wouldn't block the view with their non-stop picture taking so we could actually enjoy the view the whole time. The restaurant even offered heated ponchos for the cold evening. Superb!
The host is super nice and treats us as friends, and we communicated a lot to exchange the info of Peruvian and our home country. Although the place looks old, but everything is nice and clean. Hot water was provided. The price of the room is cheap, but the service is much more than that. The hotel is close to the plaza and it is easy to find. We hope we can meet the host and her family members again one day!!!
Very good location near the Plaza Mayor of Arequipa. Good room with table for laptop. Bathroom and shower OK. Cold and hot water always available (not obvious in Peru). Very good breakfast included. Breakfast is served on a terrace with nice view of the town. On the same terrace is also possibile to eat at the hotel restaurant. At the reception it's possible to book very nice tours in the region of Arequipa.
This is one of the best hotels in Peru. Situated in a very beautiful neighborhood of Arequipa, just few steps from Santa Catalina and Plaza de Armas. The building is fantastic, the room very clean and the staff so helpful and kind. Breakfast in room or the terrace, with beautiful views. Covid protocol 100%. It deserves minimum 10/10.
Actually, pretty good place to stay if you spend a couple of days in Arequipa.
Few things that I liked:
-Breakfast was good;
- Room was really clean and amenities were quite new and well maintained;
- Bed was very comfortable;
- Room accessible from the outside (I liked that sometimes);
- Nice rooftop.
The hotel is situated right next to Plaza de Armas which makes it a perfect base for exploring Arequipa. Staff were very friendly and helpful with any inquries. Everything was clean and tidy. Breakfast was good and we also got a lunch box when going on early morning trips. Great rooftop-views.
The best hotel I stayed in throughout my 17 day visit to Peru. Breakfast was included, but it was not buffet, it was a la carte and freshly made. Staff was kind and resourceful, the facilities were amazing, everything is colonial style and sometimes you feel you are in a museum.
The hotel is in a narrow street in the old part of Arequipa which has a lot of charm. It is located near all the nice restaurants and things to see. The room was very clean and the staff was so kind to hold our bag for a day whilst we did the Colca Canyon trekking tour. So kind!
This hotel is a fantastic place to stay in Arequipa! Room is spacious and pleasant (direct access to the garden), location is very convenient but most of all the staff is great! They are very helpful and friendly! Next time Arequipa we will definitely stay here again!
Very close to Plaza de Armas and many restaurants and shops. Old stonework in the lobby and main arreas was gorgeous, though rooms are updated to accommodate modern amenities. Staff were polite and there were elevators—a rarity in Peruvian hotels for sure.
This hotel is located directly on Arequipa's main square. We motorcycled in at a super busy time and the staff were very helpful, assisted unloading and with parking our bike. The food was excellent, especially breakfast.
the property is very well located, in plaza de Armas in the center of Arequipa.The hotel is stylish and well decorated. the staff was helpful and let us keep our luggage during a 2 days tour.
The rooftop is awesome to watch the sunset and beautiful view of Arequipa.
The place is cute and close to Plaza de Armas.
They can keep your luggage while you are doing the Colca tour.
Room was nice. Allowed early check in due to Peru hop. Very nice staff. Location close to downtown. Breakfast was great. Shower had the best water pressure in our entire trip to Peru.
