When we arrived at the hotel in the dark on Friday evening,...
When we arrived at the hotel in the dark on Friday evening, November 3. we immediately had to pay the full amount of Euro 240,- without being able to see the room. Upon entering, it was a shock - the air in room 406 was very musty, we had to open the window, the curtains were dirty in many places from killed flies and mosquitoes, the wallpaper on the walls was scratched, the bedside tables were rickety, the bed was very small (we had ordered an extra big size bed). Instead, the two 85 cm wide single beds in the room were quite cracked. The hotel is generally in a shabby and neglected condition, everything is very worn, scratched, rickety, very old room equipment, the wardrobes in the room are cracked, the hotel has no elevator, dirty, old room cards, the reluctance of the receptionists.
The room did not match any of the photos on the website or booking.com. The hotel does not have the specified number of stars - the level corresponds to a maximum of 3*, in which case the price is overpriced. Sample tourist trap.
We complained on the spot (in English) that this place/room did not match the photos on booking com and we wanted a refund. The reception refused, saying that they would give us back a maximum of EUR 60. Outrageous. When we listed the obvious shortcomings and wanted them to look at the slaughterhouse with us, they were arrogant and offered to return half the amount, i.e. EUR 120. We didn't want to deal with them anymore and immediately left this place.

Beautiful town, beautiful buildings, parks, many restaurants, shops, plenty of attractions for adults and children. Definitely go to Wang Church which is breathtaking both outside and inside. As for nature I recommend Krucze Skaly, Sniezka and mountain lake Maly staw. These were absolute top for me.

There are some amazing trips in the area around - Sniezska Mountain, Karkonosze National Park, old mines. However, the town itself is crowded with tourists, full kitsch souvenirs, neon banners, slot machines etc. Parking places near the attractions are scarce - there are big parking lots near the valley station of the cable car, but they are not enough and they are overpriced - municipal parking costs 25 Zl per day but the "private" ones - open areas with a person collecting the fee but not doing anything useful - are 30 Zl or more. They even charge you for entering the national park - if you use the main entry paths, the smaller ones have no ticket desk.

Really nice if you want to hike up the mountain and take some beautiful pictures. The are different options to get to the top, so you don't have to hike if you don't wanna or can't. Views are amazing and Karpacz itself is also a nice mountain town with good restaurants, shops that work on Sunday and other pleasing stuff.
The hotel looks really great (inside and outside) and has a lot of potential (but needs a lot of attention). The hotel is very nicely decorated (the lobby, restaurant, spa area and rooms) and the view is great. The food (breakfast and dinner) is good. Some staff members are great: friendly and helpful. The rooms are new, nice and clean. You have a beautiful view from the hotel. Staying here feels safe. You can get anywhere by car quickly. Dog friendly place! I would recommend staying here, for 1 to 4 nights. We stayed here for 6 nights.
We have say a big thanks for the whole staff and the owner of the property. All of them were super friendly, helpful and accommodating.
The breakfast was just splendid each day - we were amazed how good and tasty all was. They were even given some special breakfast for kids and our 7 year son loved it.
The room was amazing, cozy, clean and had a nice home atmosphere. The property has a great location in Karpacz and in general we recommend to anyone to stay here - with or without kids, we definitely will visit again:-)
Absolutely amazing gem of an accommodation in the heart of Karpacz. Walking distance to two main ski lifts and many hiking/walking trails to Sniezka. Facilities more than plenty, well equipped kitchenette and spacious balcony with a view. Easy instructions upon arrival and lovely & friendly support from Monika (host) who was just a call/text away if any questions. Beautiful cosy decor in the apartment was just a cherry on top and made our already enjoyable stay even more pleasant.
The hotel is situated in a lovely setting, within its own manicured grounds, on the outskirts of Karpacz. Local Tesco and a petrol station nearby.
The hotel offers a decent size swimming pool, tepidarium, a salt grotto where you can relax to nice, soothing music. There is also a jacuzzi and, the cherry on top, a small swimming pool on the roof.
Breakfast was very nice, a lot of choice, hot and cold dishes, cakes and fresh fruit were on offer every day.
We booked 2 flats with a group of friends. The apartments are spacious, clean, well designed and cared. Inside there is everything needed for the stay, we didn't need to buy anything: sometimes little things are missing like soap, screw bottle, etc. but in this place everything was there.
There is the parking space right on front of the building, free of charge for the guests.
The staff is helpful. It was everything top.
Cleanliness, very good breakfast, friendly stuff, parking available, decent location, spa (at the time I was in the hotel there were almost no people at the pool, so it was all for me for some time). Restaurant in the hotel was also above average - tasty traditional meals, appropriate portions, acceptable prices, friendly service.
I used the opportunity to have a back massage at local spa and I recommend it to everybody.
Nice dinner:) 🍽️
Calm place
with kids super place 😊 they have kids club and spa has a kids pool.
Very big complex here has a lot of houses with separate flats in main building has a spa and rooms if you dont want go outside after spa you need book a room not flat because flats are outside :)
Girls in reception very polite and respectful:)
1. Spa & wellness facilities
They are well organized. Sauna area is separated to swimming pool.
And, there is safety guard next to children pool.
2. Location
Hotel is located at the end of village area. So atmosphere is quite calm & peaceful.
3. Parking
Hotel has lots of parking spaced. No worry to bring your car.
Overall I would say that the Hotel Ariston is a very good choice for Karpacz - staff is very nice and speaks English, at least most rooms have been upgraded / remodelled to a certain degree, breakfast is superb and hotel location is very convenient, close both to the city center as well as to trails and the cable car.
Quiet place on top of the hill with nice view on Snezka mountain from terrace. Spacious family room with large beds, good shower. Breakfast - good selection even for our 5-day stay, tasty, with a bonus of mountains view. Helpful and polite staff, just not speaking English or German very much.
Amazing staff - especially Aleksandra (Ola) who was happy to help and kept smile all time! Just amazing girl! Hotel has Very good location great breakfast and good food for lunch
Spacious and very nice apartment for the whole family. Very clean, well equipped (in virtually everything you might need) and in a good location. Definitely worth booking.
The property is located in upper side of Karpacz it is ideal for hiking and to explore the city. It is really nicely arranged and it has everything you might need.
The hotel is in a good location and the outside is very charming. However, it seems their standards for upkeep are extremely low and it wasn't worth the money.
