Tivoli Lagos, hotel in Lagos

Tivoli Lagos is a 4-star hotel featuring spa facilities and a courtyard with swimming pool. It features an Algarve-themed décor and ambiance.

Room was very dated and very far away from the rest of the hotel. Would not recommend the room we got. But location was brilliant and breakfast was very good.

The savoir-être of the staff is incredible, they are helpful in every way, AUTHENTICALLY hospitable, kind, smiling, always happy to serve you! A wonderful getaway! FAQs about hotels in Lagos

History and Sandy Algarve Beaches

With a long and rich history, Lagos is nowadays a famous beach resort of the sunny Portuguese region of Algarve. Including wide sandy beaches and quiet coves enclosed by ochre cliffs, it also offers a lively city centre with one of the best mixes between history and modernity in the region.

King Henry the Navigator chose it as a base for his trips of discovery during the 15th century, and later on, it became the residence of the Algarve governors. The Old Town is circled by medieval walls, typical narrow streets, historic buildings and charming squares. B&B’s and hotels in Lagos’s historic centre allow you to enjoy these picturesque surroundings.

Apart from being an important centre for sailing, the city has amazing beaches, like Meia Praia or Praia da Dona Ana. Resorts and hotels on Lagos’ beaches are the perfect choice for sun lovers, while the hotels near the modern Lagos Marina are popular, as they are both close to the centre and the railway station.

The city is 90 km from Faro Airport, and 24 km from Portimão. Check out the Lagos hotels deals on Booking.com before travelling!

Lovely marina area with plenty of restaurants, the Lighthouse bar on the marina is good for food and reasonable prices. Old town has a large and varied choice of bars and restaurants. Good supermarkets. Easy to get around Ubers are cheaper than taxis. Seems to be a rise in the number of beggars mainly in the old town. Plenty of sea excursions available such as fishing, dolphin spotting and visiting caves.

Lagos is a lot less touristy than some other surrounding towns. There's plenty of bars and restaurants in the old town and the marina. Lots of beaches to choose from. On one side you have the longest beach with holden sands. And on the other, lots of small beaches in between the cliffs. Some can only be reached by boat or kayak. Top of the cliffs offer spectacular walks along the wooden paths offering breathtaking views.

Lagos is an interesting city, with a lively city center and lots of attractions and restaurants but also magnificent nature thanks to the beaches and cliffs of Ponta da Piedade. There are plenty of one day trips to go on nearby such as Sagres, Silves, Benagil, Alvor, etc.

    Beautiful beaches and grottos.

Beautiful beaches and grottos. Great restaurants, fish market, and boardwalks for walking and biking. It would have been easier to explore neighboring towns with a car. We felt limited without one. The people are so kind and considerate and laid-back. The weather in April was beautiful but too cold for swimming. We spent a week in Lisbon, Tavira, and Lagos. Lagos was our favorite.

A friendly, small city that is welcoming for visitors. There is a great selection of restaurants and shops lining historic laneways and cobble stoned streets. Don't miss the grottos from the cliffs above from the sea by boat. They are spectacular.

I liked the way I was welcomed by Rafael at the front desk. He was very professional and kind to accommodate my needs as I was traveling with my mother who has some mobility issues. Rafael made sure to send us to a room that would not require to go up too many steps. The room also had an amazing view to the garden. The walking shower was perfect. The bed was extremely comfortable. The room was very clean. There was a complimentary bottle of water waiting for us. I have been to Hotel Tivoli Lagos many times and will be back.

The Infante Guesthouse is in located in the old town of Lagos. It is central to the restaurants and a short walk to the marina. The room was exactly as shown on their website. The entire guesthouse was clean, well maintained, and had all I needed. The rooftop deck had plenty of room to cook, enjoy a glass of wine, and socialize with the other guests, all while overlooking the sea. The host spent time showing me around property as well as acclimating me to the local restaurants, the coastal beaches and walk, and the bus.

We only stayed 2 nights in Marina Club Lagos Resort and wished we could have stayed longer. We were 2 adults travelling with 2 small kids and the flat was really a good size for us, very clean and well furnished (kitchen was well equipped too). The balcony was quite large with a nice view on the swimming pool and space to dry clothes. The location was great too and we enjoyed walking around the Marina after dinner. We had a dinner at the Sunset restaurant next to the hotel and the service was very kind and kids friendly.

Lovely hotel! From the rooftop pool and bar to the amazing breakfast that is included in the hotel, I would definitely recommend. We took the train in from Lisbon and the hotel is right across the drawbridge, a 5 minute walk from the train station. Lagos is small so it is just a few minutes walk into the heart of the city and about 20 min to the beaches. The rooms are nice with balconies, and the bed was comfortable! They even included the bottle of champagne upon arrival that I requested since it was our elopement!

It was our 1st time in Lagos and the Villa Zawaia was a wonderful hotel. We stayed for 3 nights - enjoyed a yummy breakfast each morning on the terrace and found the hotel truly a perfect location for exploring Lagos, the surrounding beaches, finding good restaurants and still being in a nice area that was quiet at night. Also, we had a rental car and it was super easy to park at the free parking lot 3 minute walk away. Highly recommend this hotel!

Carvi Beach Hotel is on the beautiful Praia da Dona Ana beach, so it is a great location. It's about a 15 minute walk to the city center a little longer to the marina if you want to take any type of boat cruise, so we took a taxi. Buffet breakfast is included, lots of variety. The hotel restaurant has the best views. Rooftop pool was nice, supplied chairs and umbrellas. Overall room was good, had a balcony for fresh air which was nice.

There are two great restaurants on the beach you should also check out, Campimar and Antonios. The condos are very well built, and are comfortable. Would definitely stay here again when in Lagos.
