There is a museum, which was closed when we tried to go, but not a problem for us, did not wanted to see it badly. Great places to eat, at an acceptable price. Inside the Alba Carolina fortress, museums can be visited, concerts are held and festivals take place periodically. The highlight of the city is undoubtedly the Alba Carolina Fortress, a beautifully preserved historical site where you can walk through centuries of Romanian history. The atmosphere in the city is relaxed and welcoming, with friendly locals and a vibrant cultural scene. I also appreciated the mix of old and new, where modern amenities are seamlessly integrated into a setting rich with heritage. Alba Iulia's walled city was a surprising cluster of food stands and tourist trinket kiosks and rides for children. It was loud and busy. Majestic city built inside a 16th century medieval fortress, keeping all the historical elements it is famous for. Many accomodations to choose from. Some great restaurants and diners.
