The hotel seems somewhat "upmarket" with distinctive architecture and furnishings and a nice roof top terrace for breakfast. Great views over the water from there. I wasn't there during the day, but it seemed that there might be facilities for business meetings. The amenities in the room were quite nice: a fridge, wall AC, and a desk. A separate shower room from the basin and toilet. Breakfast was good.

The hotel struck me as somewhat like a "resort:" It has a pool with lounge chairs, a outdoor breakfast area with plants and plenty of sun. A nice restaurant is above on the rooftop. It was very relaxed and a pleasant break from the dust and noise of te city outside the hotel walls. The neighborhood seems good - with a private security guard 10 meters from the hotel gate, nice cars on the street, and good restaurants and markets nearby. It was exactly what I was looking for. Access from the center via the No. 10 public bus along the Corniche is easy.

A vibrant city with calmer beaches and busy markets.
A vibrant city with calmer beaches and busy markets. The people are incredibly friendly. I would go again as I didn't have time to fully explore.
On the plateau, explore the historic memory island of Gorée, go to the HLM market, the textiles market in Sandaga, the food market of Kermel. If you have time, go to the beach in Ngor and swim to Ngor island. Eat some local grilled fish and fresh veges.
Just drink bottled water :)

Senegal has very friendly people with lots of places to see and visit. It's easy to move around either by hailing Taxis or using the Yango ride app.
I enjoyed my visits to the Marché Soumbédioune. Here, you can buy authentic African craft from the Artisanal Village. Nearby is the Soumbédioune sea food market where you can buy a variety of fresh and grilled sea food to delight your palate. I enjoyed a meal of grilled fish and fries here.
The Mosque of Divinity and African Renaissance Monument are also 2 nice places I saw.
Before leaving for Ghana, I stopped by the Sea Plaza shopping mall to buy gifts for my friends and family back at home.

Good for seasoned travelers who like to get with the people.
Good for seasoned travelers who like to get with the people. Senegal is a fast-growing region with plenty of young people. Dirt roads are the main surface in Dakar but once out of town, you will find modern highways.

Hi
My is name is Al. I was born in Guinea but grew up in America. I was in Senegal to visit families.
Good:
The place was wonderful. Clean. The pool was clean and everything else.
The bad
The big refrigerator was not working but the provided small one new. Some of the toilets has issue draining water. But with the host Babacar everything was possible. The guy was excellent, nice and very disponible. Always available when needed something. If it wasn’t him, I wouldn’t have stay there during my stay. Because of the address

Traveling by bus from Gambia to Senegal was not a good...
Traveling by bus from Gambia to Senegal was not a good experience. The actual Driving time should have been not more than 6hrs but we took almost 11hrs due to check points....The officers were very aggressive, rude and very very unfriendly. Maybe flying might be better. I will never go into Senegal via bus from Gambia. Ironically the bus from Gambia was a Gambia government owned commercial buses.
The area is good. Do yourself a favour though, and stay at Yaas Almadies where we stayed on our first night. It's two minutes walk away, on the main road, and not tucked away near a government residence like this one. When we stayed in February 2022, this hotel was quiet as anything, no buzz, no atmosphere. And the management was the worst I've ever encountered should the need arise to speak with them. I contacted them through Booking.com twice, and was basically called "dishonest" for stating the facts - cheers for that.
Location: Really good location in the center of Plateu, center of Dakar.
Mosquitos: With AC ok. But no net for mosquito.
Facilities: Good facilities for Senegal.
Cleanliness: Really clean room.
Noise: Some noise coming from the street, but something we can live with it.
Mattress Comfort: Really good mattres, maybe a bit short.
Kindness: REALLY kind workers helping in everything we needed, with transportation and whatever needed.
Restaurants and eating: A lot of restaurants nearby.
Very comfy and nice apartment for an all too short stay in Senegal. Our host Mme Aissata was extremely friendly and accommodating. We were also able to enjoy a very yummy dinner prepared by the hosts a few times. Location was also very good and most areas within Dakar were an easy 15/20 minute drive away (subject to traffic of course!) Would definitely recommend this apartment for a small-family sized trip.
Pros - central location, easy walk to most sites and ferry to Goree Island. Big room, great wifi, air con and comfy bed. Nice clean bathroom. Buffet breakfast was good, reception staff very helpful. Price is expensive by European standards but Dakar hotels are expensive so this one is probably better than most. Bar has good evening food. Good soundproofing, and its needed as street in front can be noisy.
We loved our stay at Boma! What a stylish place, super nice spacious room with a large bathroom, organic beauty products made in Senegal and eco friendly concept, refillable water bottles, no single use plastics etc. The breakfast was delicious and plenty and served by the poolside. The pool is super large and very nicely temperatured, not freezing cold. Staff was superfriendly and helpful.
The property was clean, the staff were great, and the food was delicious! The decorations are so befitting of a Senegal travel experience. The staff made our stay inviting!
However, be prepared to have water over the entire bathroom floor due to no shower doors. Showering was a tad difficult because water was everywhere. An important missing detail to a pleasurable stay!
Well serviced room with fridge, microwave, kettle, nespresso and supplies and sink. Excellent shower. Comfortable large bed and good sized room. I was looking for this location close to Radisson Blu hotel. The best customer service I've ever had, Aminata was excellent at communicating prior to my arrival and during my stay.
The Airport transfer and assistance from the driver Kader was excellent. This was a last minute booking to obtain a Liberia visa and my goal was met. The hotel is an oasis in a rather scruffy exurb "convenient" to the distant airport and various parts of Dakar. Better for business and budget than for "leisure".
Front staff, Rama Sow was very helpful. On a behalf of my wife and kids , we really like to thank her .Please pass her our sincere appreciation for showing my family the Senegalese hospitality and making their first , one to remember forever. We will definitely come back again and again pretty soon .
Clean, safe, great atmosphere and position. The staff is super friendly and always eager to help. The terrace is amazing for chilling, hanging out with other travellers, eating, drinking...! I highly recommend to solo female travellers: here I have found the only female dorm of all Senegal.
This hotel has to be the best value in Dakar. It wasn’t just a hotel room. It was a one bedroom apartment with a full kitchen and two bathrooms. It was amazing. The service was incredible. For the price there is absolutely no way you can beat this place.
This place was much more than what i asked for! Super clean, comfortable and peaceful. The staff were super helpful in getting me some insider travelers info to Senegal and The Gambia. I absolutely will be booking this place again!
Very clean, nice staff that knew english well.
Food was the best, above everything else you can find in Dakar.
Pool area nice and the beach clean and very nice.
Everything was really good, better then Radisson Blu Sea Plaza.
The staff made sure that my guests were taken great care of... the Kitchen Manger went the extra mile to make my guests a beautiful breakfast spread upon arrival into Senegal from the states. 5 start service
The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The hotel is well situated in Dakar to walk to the corniche and get around. The facilties was as shown and the work spaces were very suitable.
A very comfortable boutique hotel in the upscale Almadies neighborhood. We slept blissfully every night. The staff were a delight; Bouba in particular was a gentleman.
