Overall, I was so impressed with my vacation in El Salvador.
Overall, I was so impressed with my vacation in El Salvador. The first night we walked from Hotel Citlali down the street and found several malls and many restaurants and felt so safe. After that we went downtown, and was told the Library was open 24 hours. We went into the Library and it brought tears to my eyes to see such a beautiful place open so late at night. Then we spend 5 days in the Costa del Sol, took an unforgettable boat ride in La Puntilla. The last day, we went to Playa Pimental and Playa Tunco/Surf City. I'd love to come back and share this beautiful place with my family and friends!!!

I have been traveling to El Salvador for about 15 years.
I have been traveling to El Salvador for about 15 years. The country under the new President Bukele has made significant progress in making the city, safe, productive, and exciting.
El Salvador is a beautiful country blessed with great people, good agriculture and wonderful beaches on the Pacific Ocean.
We enjoyed the city and the mountain areas as well as some of the beaches. The people are friendly and engaging.
We used a private taxi service to travel around the area. Using this type of service is a little more expensive than renting a car.
There are lots of fast food franchises in the city if you like that type of food. We refrained from eating in the small restaurants due to cleanliness and food preparation. We confined our eating to the large hotels and the private eating areas such as in Atami, and private membership clubs. The large hotels have excellent food and the preparation is great. A little pricey, but not bad.
Clean, safe, friendly, culturally rich, easy going and friendly people. They recently renewed the ciry downtown for cultural show. Its a very nice city. Zona Rosa, Escalon and Salvador del Mundo are good places to visit. Food offer is very ample for international and local dishes

My wife and I are still thanking God for this 3 day trip to San Salvador. The people there are all so friendly and helpful; and it is obviously because they are so happy and thankful to God for using Nayib Bukele to rid their country of the gangs, so that now they can live in peace and prosperity. I have never been to a place where the people are so friendly and kind, and willing to go out of their way to help someone. We saw an emerging new nation of people who take their freedom seriously, love their President and respect authority, and take God's mercy seriously...a nation who is educating their children properly and striving to never fall into the same terrible trap that they have been delivered from. San Salvador is an excellent place to visit. We look forward to going back sometime soon, God willing.

The new national library is a work of art and definitely worth a visit. El Salvador now is a very safe country to visit unlike some years ago. We were there end of March so it was already very hot with 39 Celsius in the afternoon. Best combine the cities Santa Ana and San Salvador with some days at the beach to cool off.

San Salvador has much to offer in the form of a very safe environment for couples, families. They are an abundance of stores, coffee shops and places to eat traditional Salvadoran or other types of food. During certain hours and in certain areas, traffic can be overwhelming. Using applications like google can help you navigate around the city as some streets do not have the name of the street posted which is a big issue that needs correction.

The location is in Escalon, the best colonia in San Salvador. Beautiful area, close to restaurants and shopping areas like Gran Vía, but also easy to get out of town and head to the volcanoes and beaches! Having the complementary breakfast was perfect to get us going every morning. Also, the staff couldn’t be more polite. Every single time we saw a staff member, they asked us if we needed something. Exceptional customer service.
