FAQs about hotels in Bangkok

Something for Everyone in Bangkok

Bangkok never sleeps, or so you might think as you fly into Suvarnabhumi International Airport. From luxurious mega malls like MBK and Siam Discovery in Siam Square to the famous Khao San Road in the Banglamphu district, this hard working city is packed with commerce, fiery food and soothing temples.

Catch a boat up river on the Chao Phraya Express or discover different neighbourhoods on the blissfully air-conditioned BTS Skytrain. A taxi or exhilarating tuk-tuk ride is never far away from the big attractions, which include Chinatown, Jim Thompson House and the floating markets at Damnoen Saduak.

To step out of the frenetic energy of street food stalls, amulet markets and the sizzling temperatures, discover an oasis of calm in one of the many Buddhist temples. Be awed by the majesty of the Grand Palace and marvel at the world’s longest reclining Buddha at Wat Pho. While you’re there why not relax even more with a traditional Thai massage?

From the sky-scraping luxury hotels with world famous rooftop bars to a cheap hostel bed in the centre of town, Booking.com will help you explore all Bangkok has to offer.

    Amazing shopping malls.

Amazing shopping malls. Loved IconSiam it was spectacular to view. Kids enjoyed the waterfall and play area there and the water ferries in the river. Didn't have enough time to explore so definitely will be back. Give yourself enough time to do shopping. Grab taxi service is easy and trustworthy would highly recommend to download their app and use them to get around. 7eleven had great choices for kids to eat. They warm the food and give eating utensils.

I love Bangkok, it's got so much character.

I love Bangkok, it's got so much character. We stayed in Sukhumvit and Old Town. We're a couple in our mid twenties, who like to party occasionally but we prefer the peaceful temples, street food, cute cafes and bars and immersing ourselves in the culture of wherever we visit. If you're anything like us, you might prefer Old Town too. I didn't like staying in Sukhumvit at all. Everything is much more expensive and much less authentic. It's mainly nightclubs and dodgy streets. Old town had amazing food, we found this lovely homestay kind of accomodation which was a bit tricky to locate but our hosts were LOVELY. They cooked fresh breakfast and it was among the best food we had in our entire trip. OT is also super close to most of the cultural attractions, in fact a lot of them are walking distance away. China town is also a great visit.

Bangkok is a massive city that is almost too big and overwhelming. (I'm a native New Yorker). There are a couple of great landmarks and tourist spots worth seeing once. (Grand Palace and Wat Pho). Some are worth a second visit. (Wat Arun). Taking the ferry up and down the Chao Phraya river is fun. Chinatown is cool and has great food. There are killer cocktail bars all over the city but a few on one block near Chinatown. Two days is enough. If your planning a trip to Thailand it worth seeing but not worth basing a vacation around. However, the cocktail bars themselves are enough to get me to come back when I return to Thailand.

Very busy city, great to see for a few days, but becomes a bit much after a while, plenty of things to see and do from multiple temples to cabaret shows. Muay Thai or what ever else you like. Get the ferry's down the river, a good way to travel, and see the sights (yellow or orange flags are cheaper, as they are used by the locals and more fun) public train system or motor bike are the best way to travel around the city and cheaper and quicker. The traffic between 4pm and 8pm every night is terrible and can take 1hr or more in a taxi or Tuk Tuk to travel 5 to 6KS across the city, after these hrs the time is halved. Food is excellent there plenty of Indian and Asian delicacies at the restaurants, street food at the markets (tasty, cheaper) try the Mango rice for desserts. Find a 7 eleven that sells pre packed toasted sandwiches and other re-heatable foods, and they will heat up for you at no extra cost, handy when you just want a quick meal, they do good iced coffee as well. The locals were very friendly and don't hassle you to much, if you say No a few times they just smile and go away, do barter with the street stalls and Tuk Tuk they will expect it so generally give you a high price first.

A fantastic destination for food, shopping, and some enjoyable bar hopping. While traffic has always been an issue and buses often emit black smoke, that’s part of the charm of traveling embracing the culture, connecting with friendly locals, and cherishing each unique experience.

The manager was very friendly and helpful, although unfortunately, the hotel itself did not fully meet my expectations at that price point. Breakfast options were below par compared to similarly priced hotels in Bangkok that I've visited. The room lacked a fridge, water kettle, or a proper wardrobe, amenities I would have appreciated. The place feels somewhat understaffed and in need of maintenance. On a positive note, the location is very central, and the manager is very friendly and helpful.

The room was excellent, the facilities were well managed & in top conditions, services provided by the hotel staff and delivery level is top class! Truly deserving the rating, and price wise it is very reasonable in comparison to other hotels at similar level in Bangkok. Totally recommended for those visiting Bangkok to stay here, especially if you are staying for a long period of time like us.

Luxery hotel/rooms/bathroom. Exceptional breakfast (European & Asian). Nice swimming pools and great fitness area. Of course you pay more than average for this hotel if you compare with other places in Thailand. Perfect location if you come from airport Suvarnabhumi. The ARL stops in front of the hotel. No need to take the long taxi ride through the traffic jams of Bangkok!
