We spent two nights at this hotel in Sanliurfa. We had two rooms and enjoyed them very much. The staff is excellent and very helpful. Our rooms were upstairs and we climbed stairs to get tho them (no lift), which was fine for us, but would be difficult for someone with mobility issues. There is no parking on site, but there is a car park quite close to the hotel. Only about 5 minute walk to the bazaar and ten minute walk to Balikligol.

The hotel was amazing. Urfa is very hot, and the room was cold when we walked in, with the ac set and working really well. It's in a really really good location, a 5 minute walk from the main Bazaar and the main street. The staff were amazing, and fixed any issues we did have really quickly. The room was massive, felt really open with a really modern bathroom which is a big plus. The lobby/courtyard area was beautiful and really peaceful, perfect for the evening when it's a little bit cooler out. Overall a really great hotel, with fantastic staff.

This was such a charming and incredibly heart-warming stay. We couldn't have expected the levels of hospitality and warmth from the staff, specifically Mehmet. He has definitely won our hearts and we look forward to coming back and seeing him again soon. Nahrin is a very impressive location - a magical 1200 year old converted chapel, which Mehmet gave us a detailed tour of. The room was gorgeous and made for a very cozy and happy night. A stay at Nahrin is a lot more than just a typical hotel, it is a very special experience in itself and we can't wait to go back. Thank you so much again!

Oriental and interesting! The bazaar area is real - with ironsmiths forging kebab grilling spikes among antique ruined bedestans and hamams. The park and holy lake area are very attractive and unique. The fort looks massive! You can eat great kebabs in every corner at the price of five or six dollars. Did not see more than a handful westerners. Not many english-speakers but friendly people everywhere!

What a surprise!
What a surprise! I came for Göbeklitepe but could have spent days roaming the maze of historic Old Town and the market areas. Unfortunately, all the museums are still closed after last year's earthquakes but there's still a plethora of historic buildings and attractions to enjoy. The local foods were incredible and local people very eager to interact with a visitor - even if only through Google Translate.

Sanliurfa is a large city.
Sanliurfa is a large city. I stayed in the historical center. One day is needed to learn to find your way around, among the nice narrow streets, the larger avenues. As I like walking 10 km per day , I did not make use of taxis and buses. Good shoes are required ! Anyway, taxis are everywhere, and buses are frequent (every 5 minutes ). For walking further away to touristical places like Göbeklitepe, Karahantepe, Harran, Halfeti, etc. : organized tours, buses or private accomodation .
Meals during the day, in many restaurants, or in shopping centers, all cheap, with fresh traditional food. Just not easy to get vegetarian meals, but many recipes are meat free (pide with cheese, or spinach, pizza with vegetables, for example, soups, shepherd's salad...).
season is very important : avoid Sanliurfa in full summer if you don-t like yoo hot ! sme tourists leave the city after 1-2 days because they were not aware of the temepratures... so have a close look to monthly temperature charts before choosing your period .

I'm so glad we added Urfa to our itinerary.
I'm so glad we added Urfa to our itinerary. It was very different from the other places we visited on our trip (Istanbul, Izmir, Göreme, Denizli, Kaş). It felt much more traditional and less cosmopolitan, but the people we interacted with were just as friendly, and we felt just as safe as we had in other parts of the country. There is a lot to see and do in the area. The archaeological museum is not to be missed; standing in their full-sized replica of Göbeklitepe felt magical. We appreciated having a rental car, to be able to drive down to Harran on our own. It seems that there is less English spoken in this part of the country than in Istanbul (e.g. in the restaurants and in the market), so it helps to have the Google Translate app with the Turkish dictionary downloaded ahead of time for offline use.
The rooms have excellent styling with comfortable beds and a really nice shower. The mood lighting was great too. The taxi service was bar none. The hotel taxi driver picked me up from the airport, even waiting around when my flight was delayed, and then asked if I was hungry and took me to a lovely steak restaurant. Check in and check out were easy. The room wifi is the best I've had in all of Turkey. Especially for the price, this place is impossible to beat in the city. FYI, have Turkish downloaded on Google Translate before you go.
Cosy relaxing courtyard and large room with nice old-town oriental atmosphere. Very friendly helpful staff but no western languages. They helped change our money and accepted cash much appreciated.
Can't get close by car , park in Otopark up the hill the people there overcharge though! Bring Lire!
The small room is very small!
Some noise from neighbours but better than most.
Bathrooms are improved recent additions to the rooms.
Great location for old Sanliurfa and museums.
This is a charming heritage hotel with very welcoming and helpful proprietors & staff. The breakfast was excellent! The hotel location was great - walkable to historic sites such as the Balikli Göl pool, Mevlid-I Halil Mosque, Abraham's Cave, and the Göbekli Tepe & Mosaic museums as well as restaurants and bazaars. Drove to Göbekli Tepe archaeological site - absolutely breathtaking! Very nice stay, would definitely return!
When I cone to this hotel, after so many times I stayed here, noticing staff recognising me, makes me welcome, looks after me, feels so special! People in Urfa are so welcoming, and this hotel staff represent this at every corner of the hotel! Hotel is spotlessly clean! Rooms are cleaned every day, by friendly and almost unnoticeable staff. Food represents the area, and that is something I love about this place.
I was here three nights and loved my stay. The room was comfortable, WiFi worked the whole time, thee was a great hot shower, and truly lovely helpful staff. I recommend this place very highly! The hotel has a private parking lot but *** a warning to drivers- ask the hotel for directions- do not trust your GPS!!! (Google maps sent me down a very narrow pedestrian only street and I got stuck in my rental car omg)
After some unsuccessful overnights in this region during our trip, we were finally able to comfortably shower and sleep well at this hotel. Quite clean. There are minor shortcomings, but nothing critical. The staff is very good! There are plenty of parking spots right next to the hotel, so don't be afraid to turn off the main street. The view from the terraces is amazing, with rocking chairs available.
Really beautiful hotel in the very centre of Sanliurfa, in a quite side hallway off the main street. The rooms are good size and sufficiently warm even during a cold spell, like the one we caught this winter. Staff is lovely and took care that the construction work taking place in the structure did not bother us at all; they even took care to deliver the breakfast to our room. Recommended.
Located at the entrance of the old City, this hotel is within walking distance of the main attractions of Urfa (10 min) . Easily accessible by car there is a parking 3 minutes away (additional fees)
The hotel is a beautiful traditional stone building. The rooms are nicely decorated The personnel is nice and helpful.
The place is quiet as it is away from the main street .
Kubra was amazing and helped us out throughout. As two women traveling we felt completely safe and it was walking distance from many places in the city and a few mins drive from others. You can reach the city by bus and then take a taxi to the hotel which would take 7-8 mins. The Turkish breakfast served was also really nice and the room was super clean and quite big.
The staff is extremely helpful and welcoming, if you are coming with a car they will accompany you to the nearest parking lot, take your bags to the hotel and make sure you are comfortable. Parking is free of charge. The rooms are clean, well equipped. The only downside is the size of the room but all in all it was a lovely stay with lovely people.
Beautiful new hotel in the charming old town of Şanlıurfa. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Good open buffet breakfast. Staff was great especially Baaz who was so helpful before and throughout my stay and a nice guy to have a chat with. Would definitely stay in this place again if I ever return to Urfa.
Ideal location for exploring the city. Super friendly and helpful staff. Great courtyard and roof terrace. Tasty and plentiful breakfast. The room has everything you need. I highly recommend this hotel and hope to return here again.
It's a charming hotel in a great location, reminding me much of the Medina in Marrakech, but less busy and quieter. I like how big the room was, and the traditional breakfast was quite good.
Room very large, confortable and cleaned. Staff very professional and kind. The structure is historical and fascinating, immersed in the heart of Sanliurfa. Quality of the food was good.
We love its cleanliness, helpfull staffs, small boutique hotel in the main street but not noisy at all. Easy access to supermarket, places to eat, etc.
