The location was super convenient! There is MRT station next door and a post office downstairs, which was perfect as I needed to send off a few packages. It was also very quiet which we definitely appreciated. The staff were kind and helpful, and allowed us to check in early.

Capital of the Republic of China (commonly known as Taiwan), huge Taipei is surrounded by mountains. Taipei 101, once the world’s tallest building, dominates its skyline from Xinyi, an area known for the most active nightlife.
At Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall the national flag is raised every morning and the guard changed every hour. Less known for tourists is National Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, containing a tall bronze statue of the country’s founding father.
Taipei has tons of museums, but the best are Shung Ye Museum of Formosan Aborigines and the National Palace Museum – one of world’s largest collections of Chinese artifacts. Even more numerous are the temples dedicated to Buddhist, Taoist and Chinese folk religions. Xinsheng South Road is nicknamed "Road to Heaven" for its sheer number, but most famous is Longshan Temple in Wanhua, the oldest district.
Taipei shopping is fantastic and includes Core Pacific Living Mall, supposedly Asia’s largest. The Ximending area has lots of shops (and karaoke), while the Shilin Night Market should not be missed. For a break from the bustle head to central Daan Forest Park, the botanical gardens with its lotus ponds,or Yangmingshan National Park, known for hot spring baths and spring cherry blossom.
Whether you fly into Songshan or Taiwan Taoyuan Airport, the well connected public transportation system can take you to any Taipei hotel on Booking.com.
Travelled end of May to a good few days in June. Arrived Taipei and weather is pretty humid but afterwards, it started raining. It was a little difficult to go places when it's raining hence cutting out some of our itineraries short. Will still go back to explore. It's a beautiful country with lots of interesting places to go to, not only night markets. The food was amazing. Looking forward to our next visit. We will try to time it towards the cooler season.
We stayed in Ximen area and our accommodation is strategically located 3 blocks away from Ximending Night Market and very close to the MRT Station. Convenience wise--very convenient! Food everywhere.

The city of Taipei left a good impression on me.
The city of Taipei left a good impression on me. The people were disciplined. In the train stations, people queued up to enter and exit. I did not see anyone cut the line. The trains were efficient too: departed and arrived as scheduled.
On the street, the locals obeyed the pedestrian rules. I did not experience any traffic whatsoever.
On our last night there, we decided to walk around Daan Park. We noticed the locals were out. For awhile we thought what's going on. Then, we realized they were out because they were waiting for their trash to be collected.
Even though English was not widely spoken, it was not a problem. They still tried to help.
The food was great and very affordable too.
I will visit again for sure.

Taipei information centers no longer have paper maps and everything is now online. This is great, but not if you are going to a remote spot. Taipei is so safe that you can go to 7-11 at 3 am in your pajamas and slippers.

Taipei is awesome.
Taipei is awesome. Had dinner at A Joy in the 101, amongst other places. Also at Shilin night market - finally had the stinky tofu :) It was my 7th stay in Taipei, I'm always happy to be there. People are generally kind and polite, the MRT is fantastic. There's a lot to see and do, but as I was there for work, I only had limited time for that.
This hotel is completely gorgeous, the design of room is so thoughtful with beautiful mid century style wood accents, a large bathroom with a shower and bathtub, a fancy heated toilet, and delightful L’Occitane toiletries. Our room had a balcony with a gorgeous view of the cultural park and Taipei 101. Having all the great shops and the AMAZING bookstore inside the building was also so fun! And breakfast was absolutely incredible both days, from the scallop and abalone congee to the perfect smoked salmon and everything in between.
We stayed at CITY SUITES Taipei Nandong from March 2nd to March 10th, 2024, and were thoroughly impressed.
The rooms were outstanding, equipped with modern amenities for a comfortable stay.
The staff were incredibly helpful, assisting us with airport pickup, drop-off, and providing great recommendations for local sightseeing.
The hotel's convenient location made exploring Taipei a breeze.
Overall, a fantastic experience that we highly recommend to others. We can't wait to return!
got a superior double room for 3 nights, we have 2 x 28" luggage and one 20". quite congested bcs the room is small but i would say this is worth the money im paying considering it is located near taipei main station (exit M3 cosmos hotel) for those who have their schedule full and only plan to stay in the hotel for night rest this is good. most hostel have no lift but they have it and bonus point is spacious toilet. glad i decided to stay here compared to ximen area.
Location of hotel is in an alley in between 7-11 and Converse in the heart of Ximending.
There is free water refill, laundry room, microwave, and a huge refrigerator to store food in the lobby area.
Fast check-in and check-out process.
Umbrellas are available for borrowing.
Staff is incredibly helpful and understanding.
Japanese toilet is in every room (rare in Taipei) and better than other pricier hotels.
No noise in rooms despite being in Ximending.
Our room at the Rido Hotel gave us a beautiful view of Da'an Park, which we explored on our first morning in Taipei - walking off our jet lag. Great location for exploring local sites on foot (including Shida, or Taiwan Normal University, and the famous Din Tai Fung restaurant) or greater Taipei by subway! The staff at the tiny garage next door were wonderful - taking great care of our rental car and helping us with our luggage.
OBSESSED with this hotel. GREAT staff. Great rooms. Spa amenities were amazing. Lovely location. I like that they offer a shuttle service. Whoever does the staffing does a great job - kind, polite and nice people no matter what job they did! The staff also spoke GREAT English no matter their role. This was nice as they could offer me good recommendations for things to do. Treat yourself and stay here.
I like everything about the accommodation. The staff are generous, easy to deal with, very approaching, they can speak English. The place very near and accessible to night market, food almost everything. This hotel seems to be my 2nd home when ever I'm in taipei. 🥂 To all the staff totally exceptional. Mind you guys the bathroom is bigger than the usual and they have bidets, blowers all bathroom..
Clean, level two communal area is very comfortable. They provide good coffee from beans as well as snacks and instant noodles. There are even sparkling water from the machine.
Very friendly staff, we had a kid with us and the staff are patient when the kid makes noises.
There are two convenience stores right below the hotel and many good restaurants around us.
Large room. Nice spa tub my son and I used a mini swimming pool. Near the Gondola and zoo. 7-11 across the street. Private garage parking right outside the hotel room. Safe and convenient. Quiet. Staff were very polite and helpful. Free water, snacks replenished. Refrigerator in the room. When the weather turned cold they provided an extra heavy comforter.
The Location x3,the room that was big and comfortable, I took a room with windows.
Not all the room like that.I stayed at the hotel 6 nights in a row and really recommended.
We rent a car for the last two days and we find near by Parkin open 24/7.
Near by there is mrt station how can take u anywhere.there’s a lot of stores and Starbucks .
very friendly service, strategic location, close to the MRT station, close to parks, night markets, the rooms are nice, spacious, the facilities are complete, the bathroom is super clean, just so one of the hotel choices when on holiday to Taipei highly recommended, trust me
No breakfast. You can walk or exercise from the intersection to the park. Or take the MRT (only 1 minute away from the hotel) to the zoo or take the cable car to have fun. You can also watch the sunset directly in Tamsui, or go to the largest fresh flower market nearby.
The location is convenient right by Taipei Main Station. There is free water and tea at the lobby. Hotel is alright, just overpriced. When I checked out they let me leave my backpack. The bathroom in my private room was well equiped.
The room was beautiful. Incredible view, super comfortable bed, great lighting, quiet, huge corridors, quick elevators, public bath. I've stayed in Mitsui Garden hotels in Japan and this one in Taipei is equally as impressive.
Traveled in Taipei and Taichung, and by far the best hotel esp. in terms of the maintenance of the property by the hotel. Cleanliness and security are topnotch, even better than other 4-star international hotels in Taiwan.
Helpful staff, good location. Clean facilities. Practical room and allowed for early check in. Location near to two MRT stations on differing lines made it fairly easy to get around Taipei from the hotel as a base.
The location of the hotel is super nice, as well as the stuff - super friendly, supporting and very kind. Such a good place to stay in Taipei and I will definitely stay again in this hotel when I come back.
The ease of access to the hotel from Taipei Main station. It's literally just next to the station from exit M8. There are eateries around the neighbourhood. 5 minutes walk from the hotel.
