We enjoyed being able to experience the sequoias in close proximity and relax at the Hut listening to the river near by. We liked having a private sitting area outside when we were under the stars.

The property was amazing - the outdoor kitchen was 1st class, as were the grounds and the domes, themselves. Everything was meticulously clean and extremely comfortable- especially the bed! Scott communicated all information and answered our questions - usually within minutes. We visited with another retired couple and found the property easy to navigate. You can tell a lot of thoughtfulness went into the design of the facility. We all agreed we’d love to come back a spend a few days. Located close to Sequoia National Park, we booked dinner at the Peaks restaurant at Wuksachi Lodge- about an hour away. The ride up was beautiful and inspiring.

Nice little community right outside the southern sequoia entrance. Perfect if you’re looking for somewhere quiet to stay with very nice people. The area has nice places for lunches, coffee, and gas but the nearest grocery store is at least 15 miles away.

The original room was horrible, I was stunned they would even offer it to us. Back door had air gap letting cold air in, no deadbolt on it. Old flooring in living room, carpet in bedroom was soaked. They moved us to another room, smaller, 2 beds. No apology or refund (they also overcharged us $30 for a 2nd night). I’ve attached pictures of the new room . Bathroom shower needs serious repairs and the ceiling is shoddily repaired. Ac/heater unit is ancient and loud. Only way to turn off bed light is to unscrew the bulb. Other bulbs are burnt out. It appears the hotel is hanging on by a thread. Should be banned from booking.com. Not up to standards by any means

Hotel has great potential but cleanliness of my room was a great disappointment. Even after raising our concerns they were not fully addressed. Pizza place just down the road was surprisingly good. Although the heart of Sequioa NP is only 30 miles away, it takes at least one hour because of a very steep, narrow and winding road. Elevation gain is over 4,000 feet.

It's a beautiful spot for one night. Unfortunately Sequoia Nat'l Park had a few road closures and much of the park was off limits. We stayed and ate at the Gateway Inn which is close to the entrance.

Beautiful small town with tons of unique local joints to check out! Sadly we were only in the area for two days to visit the national parks, but I wish we had another day or two to check out the town itself. Everyone we met was super friendly and the food and drink options were refreshing after trekking around Sequoia and Kings Canyon all day.

Three rivers is a very charming town to drive through on the way to the majestic Sequoia park, but what thing to really keep in mind is what season you go. I have been through Three Rivers more than a 10 times as a traveler from Los Angeles so I know. The most breathtaking time to go is early spring, March to April because everything turns into emerald green and the waterflow is abundant, specially noteworthy is when you first see the snow capped mountains of the Sequoia park. Anytime after June all the way to October, everything looks kind of dry and it gets very hot and touristy. In Winter - Nov through March, you will most likely have to put chains on your tires and it's a bit more hazardous driving through the curved roads going up to the mountain. Also it gets very cold and many of the trails become alot tougher to walk on. Just keep in mind, that during winter, it's a calculated risk driving even with snow chains, one slip up and your car can easily fall off a cliff. Henceforth, I have mostly avoided going in winter time, buy hey don't let me stop you if feel like a daredevil. Go during March or April, you will have the most beautiful scenery through Three Rivers and specially the Park.

I would have said the location was it's only advantage, but Three Rivers is unfortunately a dying town. And it's a 45-minute drive up a windy road to Sequoia NP. (True, 4 miles from the entrance, but the entrance is that long drive from anywhere you want to see) So, what did we like? Unfortunately, nothing. Oh, the fridge seemed to be new, which was nice. But it was turned off when we arrived (presumably to save money), and when we turned it on, it created a puddle on the floor while cooling.

The Lazy J is well positioned for a visit to Sequoia. It really is like staying on a little ranch.Three rivers is as well a really cute little place and very beautiful. We even managed to see a bear the day we we were leaving, although we were assured by the friendly housekeeping that this was a rare occurrence. The swimming pool is very clean and a welcome cool down after a very hot day on our roadtrip. The hummingbirds were amazing to watch

It's a nice motel. The room is decent - a nice shower, a fridge, memory foam (I think) mattress. All completely fine. The best bit of the hotel is the restaurant and amazing views of the river. The restaurant is pricey and the food is good but not great. But the river is beautiful in the day and all lit up at night which makes it really magical so worth every penny.

Literally nothing. The only good thing was the position. We booked here because we were going to Sequoia National park and it was just 8 minutes away from the entrance. Letteralmente nulla. L'unica cosa buona era la posizione. L'abbiamo prenotato solo perchè il giorno dopo avremmo visitato il Sequoia National park. L'hotel si trovava ad otto minuti dall'entrata.

This is our second time staying at Comfort Inn. We like it here because of the location to the Sequoia Park entrance, the local grocery store and a couple of great restaurants (pizza and mexican food). Normally the breakfast is wonderful here, but this time it was just so-so...however that was in no way the hotels fault...it was due to covid-19 restrictions.

The fact that you had to check in using the restaurant was problematic. Also parking was an issue as there were few spaces for the hotel room but utilized by customers dining. We wanted to check out early but the restaurant was not open until 8 am and that was the only way to check out. No phone in the room to call for service or check out.

Great space. Super comfortable. We were able to pickup food from the local grocery store and cook dinner in the full kitchen at the hut. Super easy check in and check out. Had access to Netflix on the TV so we were able to watch some shows in the evening as well. Drive to the entrance of Sequoia national park was only about 15min.

    - Room was clean - Hotel communication was good. Mainly after booking, some changes, before travel etc - Helpdesk was helpful - Location is close to national park entry - Swimming pool, play area (swing/slide). Small gazebo - Just 3. min walk to river, which is good. - Enough parking - Close to restaurants - Decent price

The hotel is decorated beautifully. Lisa is an exceptional chef so breakfast was amazing. I was pleasantly surprised to see the pool in the backyard. The grounds and giant palm trees are lovely. So many little extras - seating outside, free ice cream bars, beach towels, etc. - made this an excellent choice.

I have stayed at multiple Three Rivers motels and Lazy J is always my first choice and go to when available. I love the ranch - waking up to goats and a river walk is amazing. The pool is great and I love the cottage feel to the rooms and property. I love it here!

The whole stay was wonderful. House and room were cozy. The night sky from the jacuzzi at the garden was absolutely amazing to watch. And Lisa's hospitality was breathtaking, her breakfast were better than any other breakfast served at other hotels.
