The hotel is lovely and in a great location. The staff was terrific. The adjoining jazz club was a huge plus and would make me stay at the Old Lyme Inn again.

We have stayed here several times and always been very pleased. The property is very nice and will maintain the rooms are very clean and we love that the floors are LVT and carpeting. Any staff members that we’ve encountered have always been very kind and professional. We can’t say enough about what a great value it is. We enjoy visiting East Lyme and staying in Motel 6 has made it even better.

Lots to see and do.
Lots to see and do. Don't miss the Essex steam train for a dinner ride or just a ride and boat trip. Dinner a bit pricey but worth every bite. First class food. Mystic Village is a must, shop til you drop. Snack bars are the place to eat at if you like good seafood. Then there is the seaport another must to go through. The aquarium is a fun place for kids and older people.

The registration desk was so accomadating and even when I asked for an extra hour for discharge, it was graciiously granted. There was a lovely restaurant right across the street. And the corridors were very quiet

I have stayed here a few times and it is a good value. The beds are comfortable. The water pressure is great in the shower. This time I had a room in the back of the hotel and the train tracks are right beyond the parking lot, so I heard the trains. I would continue to stay here on my visits to the shoreline. The staff is always very nice and very professional. Easy location close to everything.

An old, historic Connecticut town, Old Saybrook is close to Routes 1 and 95. There is a beach and multiple beautiful buildings and houses, making for a picturesque ride wherever you are in town. Lots of restaurants and bars ranging from diners to several great French restaurants. There are an unusually-large number of shopping centers and stores for a town this size so everything is close and very convenient. Truly worth a visit.

Very pleased to see the resort fully staffed during a time...
Very pleased to see the resort fully staffed during a time where other properties are short staffed due to Covid related reasons. The management and owners must treat the employees very well. Everyone was attentive and friendly, and this is how it should be in the service industry. Nowadays it's hard to find good work ethic and top notch service. Again, hats off to the management for getting this right! The property was well maintained, clean and beautiful. My wife and I enjoyed the spa services and they were up to par with top notch spas we have visited over in Europe. Loved the pool area indoors especially the dry and wet sauna rooms. These are hard to find in most U.S. hotels these days. There are plenty of common areas outside your room to sit and relax and even enjoy the lobby fireplace on a comfy couch. Our visit was during Thanksgiving, but we look forward to visiting again when the warmer temps arrive in the summer. Outside deck and pool areas are spacious and very inviting. You could spend your whole day there and never get bored. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a cozy stay without the big corporate feel of other resorts. This place has everything you need and is reasonably priced. Thank you "Saybrook Point", we will visit again soon!

I was in town to attend another family function at the Old Saybrook Inn and Marina, which is very nice but too expensive to lodge at. I’ve eaten at Skipper’s and the Penny Lane Pub. Restaurants in town have a long wait on the weekend.
The location is excellent as far as getting in and out of the property. Right off I-95 and going into town is no problem, pretty much a straight shot. I happened to like the bed but my likes may not be somebody elses likes. The refrigerator in the room worked just fine and the A/C unit appeared pretty new. For an older hotel it suited me just fine.
Warm atmosphere and adorable staff.
Outside garden is very cozy and ideal for the kids and the dogs.
It is the first time I have the feeling of having a better room because I have a dog!
My 6 yo said « wow this hotel is at least a 10 thousand stars! »
The location is very convenient too as very central for all too rated attraction.
Outside tables and chairs were nice for eating outside. Pleasant view from room. Quiet. Unlike some hotels, they did the housekeeping service each day. Microwave and fridge very useful. Complementary bottles of water were well received. Staff very pleasant.
The room was very comfortable and the staff were friendly enough. The location was convenient for access to the Old Saybrook and Essex areas. The price was good compared to hotels in the area, especially for a holiday weekend.
Great value for money motel. Clean, convenient and friendly reception. Stayed here with my parents for two nights visiting friends in the area. Well placed between Old Saybrook and Old Lyme.
Bed was super comfortable.
Just as it did 2 years ago in the height of the pandemic this hotel was perfect for our quick escape to saybrook...staff friendly, room nearly themed and we love the outdoor freespace and the proximity to everything!
Great location. Close to many restaurants. We brought our dogs who were very happy as the hotel had a little area in the back where they could run around. Staff was very friendly and the room was clean.
The staff is excellent. Friendly, courteous and helphul. The hotel is old and could use a sprucing up but the rooms are clean and comfortable which is most important. The bonus is the staff.
Nice hotel. Good value. Changed my room when (husband traveled here) non-smoking room smelled of smoke. Solved the problem. Should not put the non-smoking rooms in between smoking rooms.
Location on the water near downtown Old Saybrook was great. Room was large and comfortable. Spa was excellent, parking was easy, and food was wonderful.
