Every time I go to Connecticut I try and pass by Milford or stay close to Milford. The town is amazing full of amazing shops and amazing people. Have been twice on Pirate Day and it is very entertaining!
Did some antiquing in the local shops. Fished at the mouth of the Connecticut River, had lunch at a local restaurant. Was here for my best friend's fathers memorial service, yet still enjoyed Old Saybrook.
We used this location to visit a rural area of Connecticut. They were starting a large renovation of the hotel. Workers were very considerate and inconspicuous.
As you drive from the center of town down Main Street towards the rural areas you grasp a true feeling of a simpler life of days gone by as you pass by the many farms fields, orchards and road side stands that capture the true essence of Connecticuts charm and allure.
The town was great, mall was huge compared to our little town. Lots of restaurants to choose from for any meal. Lovely view of the Connecticut river and many other locations. If I would've had time to explore would have been some amazing sites to see.
Mystic is charming place to spend a long weekend. Food: Enjoyed evening dinners at Captain Daniel Packer Inne and Red 36, and lunch at the outdoor patio S&P Oyster Company. Breakfast at Rise also a treat. Try the hash! Whether we believed in ghosts or not... The evening ghost tour with Robert Lecce, Seaside Shadows, was a fun way to kick off our stay in Mystic. He blends history of Mystic and area ghost tales as you walk through the town. Mystic Seaport Museum. A definite must visit for anyone planning a trip to Connecticut and loves history. An opportunity to learn more about Ametica’s maritime heritage. The Charles W. Morgan is so beautifully preserved. This wooden whaling ship is a National Historic Landmark, and said to be the last wooden whaleship in the world. There is also a historical 19th century seafaring village and working shipyard on the premises. We saw men working on the restoration of the Mayflower II, a 60 year old wooden ship built as a replica of the original Mayflower that brought the Pilgrims to Massachusetts in 1620. Mystic antique shops and other small retail shops give shoppers a great opportunity for some retail therapy.

All was perfect. What I liked best was the cleanliness. A MUST for me ! The nights sleep was comfortable and very quiet even with soccer tournaments and excited children all around. Our first visit to Connecticut. After an 8hr drive we were lucky to have booked at this hotel in blind faith. We will stay here with every visit. Close and easy for our family in West Hartford. After booking and arriving we were told at dinner from the locals this was the best choice around.

We come to Stonecroft any time we come to Connecticut. The Innkeepers Jim and Marcie are very friendly and accommodating. This time we had booked a queen room, and a cancellation came in last minute and we given the king size room at no extra charge. We absolutely love it there. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed.

The desk staff members were uniformly friendly and helpful; and the Indian restaurant adjacent to the site, Himalaya, was excellent. I'd definitely stay at this hotel again: it was a clean, comfortable, and pet-friendly hotel in a beautiful part of Connecticut.

Staff was friendly and helpful. The complimentary shuttle to and from Hartford was the best feature. I recomend this hotel if you are attending any events at Connecticut Convention Center. And the breakfast buffet was an added bonus! Lots of selection!

The staff was fantastic. Melissa, Liz, Destiny, and Tina were all very accommodating of my needs and requests. Tina was especially cordial, and as a newcomer to Connecticut, I found her counsel very useful.

Staff was really friendly and helpful. The Circle Diner next door is the quintessential Connecticut diner. Traditional and very good food. The best Bloody Mary I've ever had, in fact.
