Located on a busy street, lots of traffic noise all day long. Lack of privacy. blinds were old, rusty and bent so that people could look thru.
The beds not comfortable!
This was a cute, quaint place to stay while visiting Ft. Myers. Rooms were clean and comfortable and staff was helpful and cheerful. We stayed in a double room but would book the lakeside cabin next time. It met my expectations as a simple , clean place to stay while we visited the area.
No issues with Rock Lake.
Great place !
Location is the only thing going for this hotel
Out dated everything,ac barely worked, very old fridge
Convenient to downtown and quiet next to the fish pond.
We liked the fact that it was very retro looking? Quirky but Cool!
Could use a some minor updating (a few things were a liyyke worn out) and bathroom needs a hairdryer.
Whatever they use to clean the rooms is so strong it leaves pungent odor and even after airing out for hours residue was such that we both woke up with sore irritated throats.
Everything it really was not what I expected
The web site was completely misleading. We were put in a room across the street from the pictures shown in the web site. The room, although clean, needed updating badly. it also smelled strongly of industrial cleaners.
I like the floor with tiles.
We really liked the nature walk and kayaking on the canal
My husband loves basketball and the TV was a little small.
Room was clean and comfortable we upgraded from regular room roadside to cottage on lake with outdoor patio set up. Unfortunately it was raining next day so did not get to use all their outdoor facilities. We will go back to try this on another trip.
Free shuttle downtown
Wifi and kitchen
Although we had booked way back in Oct, when we checked in we were given the worse unit in the horseshoe. After considerable discussion, we were moved to a much better location and we did enjoy our visit.
Staff was friendly and efficient. Easy check in/check out.
Light was right outside door window so room was't dark. Rooms need a thorough cleaning, fan hasn't been dusted/cleaned in a long time. Closet door didn't work properly.
We picked this place for the spitting Dolphins and because we like unique places. It has extensive grounds. We were greeted by a nice young woman who told us about the facilities. The room had a kitchenette.
There was no hair dryer. When my husband went to the office (no phone in room) to ask about one, no one was there although it was supposed to be open. The queen bed seemed small.
Room decor was decent, bed comfortable desk staff friendly
Basically no amenities, run down tennis courts pool across a busy street, window shades not light blocking. Street noises in room.
We really didn't get ro see much and we stayed on the other side of the hotel. Really wish we could have stayed in one of the rooms that had the balcony where yoy could see the pond but the courtyard that was in front of our room was nicely put together and the rooms where very clean.
having to cross a highway just to get to the pool or Laundry with small kids it wasn't safe. Wish they had every thing in the same location not so space out.
Pool & pond were nice together with the exciting nature path and canoeing possibilities. Clean rooms, free parking and helpful staff
Room interior slightly old and a hint of mould smell in the bathroom, but didn't bother at all for a short stay.
The location was in a seedy part of town. The parking lot was poorly lit. A double room is just that - 2 double beds with a view backing onto a brick wall.
Shannon at the front desk - very efficient, friendly toward all the folks that came by while I was there. Very close to 'downtown' Ft Myers and all the new and emerging restaurants and entertainment downtown. I stayed in a spartan but effective efficiency room, very clean and quiet, comfortable bed. Excellent WiFi (room was right behind the office). Across the (busy) street is where the cottages and pond are located. Very quaint - an oasis right outside of an emerging downtown.
No bad experience here. However, parking can get a bit full. The office is only open between 9 AM and 8 PM, so a typical business traveler may become frustrated if not aware of the limitation.
Noise depending of your neighbours.
Once I got past how clean the room was and smelled I really enjoyed the lake view, the calm and how nature was pulled into the resort theme. Of course, the boardwalk path and canoe was a great touch. Great stay!
No bad experience but Wifi sometimes waned in and out. Poor me if that's all that went wrong!!!
