This is a fantastic city -- creative and vibrant with plenty of big city fun with a small town vibe! Eugene has a fantastic food scene and great book and music shopping and museums. My favourite is the Whiteaker Neighborhood; lots of fantastic dining options and live music plus parks and the beautiful river path. It is a great place to walk and cycle.

Eugene is a college town, and we chose to go on road trips instead of staying in town. If there are games going on, it can be quite hectic to try and get around the city. There are covered bridges to go and see in Cottage Grove, as well as waterfalls and other hikes to partake in in Cottage Grove and outside Eugene.

I will never go to Eugene in the winter again! So cold!
I will never go to Eugene in the winter again! So cold! And the rain never stopped for our entire stay. And the day we had planned to leave, I-5 was expected to be closed over Siskiyou Pass due to snow and high winds. We left a day early and drove home via the long route, over to 101 and then down the coast. Temp never got above 45 degrees and the rain never stopped, but at least we didn't have to deal with snow. If you need to go to Oregon, schedule it for the summer when it is actually quite pleasant.

It was good to tour the campus although we were there for a wedding. It was sad to see the homeless on the streets. Other than football and sports, I don't know what anyone would do on vacation. A trip to the winery was fun. Eugene is not for us.

Classic college town with a clear progressive and liberal tilt.
The scent of pot being smoke was not uncommon.
The city streets were CLEAN and there were very walkable sidewalks on most city streets.
I saw signs of a concerted public assistance to homeless populations rather than the constant conflict between the haves and the have-nots in Seattle.
I only spent one day but I would have liked to spend more to explore its nooks and crannies.

My family always loves staying in Eugene.
My family always loves staying in Eugene. We travel to the Ducks football games around three to four times at least every season. My family enjoys the location of the Hayward Inn because it is the perfect location for sporting events and amazing restaurants. We love the walk to Autzen Stadium from the hotel as well.
Very nice little hotel. It was very clean and presentable. It looks updated and well maintained. The room is basic but nice. Comfortable beds,, flat screen TV, a/c, microwave and larger mini fridge. Grounds are clean. We spent the weekend in Eugene and did multiple activities. This Inn was very close to everything we did. Including U of O campus and the Matthew Knight arena.. At night we walked a few blocks to the Starlight Lounge which was a nice place for drinks and socializing. We would definitely choose to stay here again.
I loved staying at Signature Inn-Eugene! The owners are very gracious and kind. They are quick to help in anything you need. Beautiful Retro rooms, with extra lounge pillows and added pinpointed reading lights! The rooms are newly remodeled, and combined with their friendliness, the rooms are better than new! Even the parking lot looks freshly paved! When they offer breakfast, it really IS a “Breakfast”! Thank you soooo much for my most favorite Inn experience!
Rooms and common areas are very clean. Beds comfy with extra pillows available. Great ambient noise from nearby park of ducks and wind through the trees. Breakfast offered a variety of options and my dog was welcome to stay here. Front office staff were tricky to track down at 22:00 for late check in, but very professional and helpful once located. Felt Covid precautions were taken seriously and most guests observed mask wearing in common areas.
The inn was comfortable, quiet, and super clean. We enjoyed having the privacy of an en suite bathroom in the Farm House room. We barely heard any other guests while we were there. It was a really lovely setting and a great alternative to a hotel. The living room and dining room area were great to sit and read, and to play a board game (which we brought ourselves)
Clean, comfortable room (comfy beds). Good wi-fi. Friendly staff and my request for a quite room was consciously accommodated at check-in. Lots of bagged "covid" breakfast options. Convenient location near University of Oregon and bike paths around the river. Also, Eugene is not far from Cottage Grove if interested in riding the rail-to-trail path.
This is a new, modern, clean property we stayed in for 2-3 days while visiting our son in Eugene. We have tried several other hotels in Eugene and found them to have staffing issues, sub-standard cleanliness, or just over-priced. This one was just right. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel and have booked again for Thanksgiving.
This is quite simply the best motel I have stayed in. The friendly owners went out of their way to sort out a ground floor room for my wife, who uses crutches. The room was spotless and had recently been fitted out with a brand new bathroom......oh, and it was excellent value for money.
The room and bathroom were both immaculate. The bed was very comfortable. The carpet was relatively new, the size of the room was good, parking and check-in were easy, the front desk staff were friendly, efficient, and professional, and the hotel is in an excellent location.
Improving all the time. Budget is great value for money for the area. Needed to get a room for friends going to medical appointment and Budget does the job so well! Clean and remodeled! Staff is very nice and helped me with card requirement concern, very kind!
Staff was friendly and helpful with taxi service prior to arrival. Close to downtown and University of Oregon. Much cheaper than hotels that increased their rates due to special events. Large mini fridge and microwave in room.
Unbeatable value: new main building (lobby/reception area, rooms, lounge, dining area etc.); excellent continental breakfast; unexpectedly large room size for quoted rate; spacious room with modern fixtures, furniture, decor
The breakfast was very good! The room was clean! Ran out of doggie waste bags but staff was very quick to remedy the issue. Pet "relief" area was close and well maintained. Will stay here again if coming this way.
The room was huge and the tile floor was very clean and non allergenic. Nice room had a refrigerator and microwave. Check-in was easy and desk person was pleasant and competent. Price was cheap for Eugene, Oregon
Warm welcome from manager. Nice old style boutique hotel only few blocks from the university. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Complementary breakfast was delicious! Excellent bedding.
Breakfast was pretty standard. The room was nice with a comfortable bed. Though in a remote location, there were easy routes to get into Eugene and Springfield. The place was quiet.
