Hyatt Place is right across from MLK PLAZA and there is a lovely memorial there on the principles of non violence. There is also sculpture and a walkway marking historical timeline of the movement. It was filthy in areas. Rugs were disgustingly dirty. Bathroom was an electrical hazard. Breakfast was tasteless and stale. Same food daily. Pastries like hockey pucs and pancakes hard like discus thrown in cross country sports or olympics. Pool indoor super disappointing and cold. Hot tub was cold tub less then your body temperature. Our hometown, so definite nostalgia factor. (We now live in Texas.) Wonderful to see that the town is flourishing. The short walk to campus and pedestrian-friendly is great for those who enjoy a stroll. GO PENN STATE!

The hotel was run down and dirty we chose to check out and leave early not to stay the second night. The check in staff was rude and couldn't even find my reservation. Bad all around - staff need training in customer service. Could not find my reservation, even after providing confirmation - hotel stated date was wrong on their end and changed my room and charged me more $$. The staff is great.
The staff is great. The rooms are comfortable, The bathrooms are spacious. Thanks for allowing me to travel with my dog. The onsite restaurant is great. We took advantage of the nice free breakfast and also had dinner there both evenings. It was tasty, and arrived at the table hot. Drinks were refilled without asking! Waitstaff is exceptional.

The rooms are spacious with places to sit and work. The amount of common area in the lobby is spectacular--a dining table that seats 12, a separate room with lounge chairs and gaming tables. There is a spacious breakfast room with snacks and beverages for sale. The front desk staff were personable and engaged. The breakfast was good for a hotel breakfast, and the room was clean and roomy. The best part of staying at the hotel was the free electric car charging stations. There are four car charging stations located behind the hotel. There are two Tesla-dedicated ones and two others that I did not catch the make/model of. This was an AWESOME bonus that saved us from having to use a supercharger.
