Billings Montana was a nice surprise to my wife and me.
Billings Montana was a nice surprise to my wife and me. It was clean, pretty, and not too big or congested to drive in. We used Billings as a base to Explore Many of the National Monuments and Parks surrounding it. Yes, we did a lot of driving through multiple states and locations, but we always found it very easy to return to a very nice city with ample shopping, dining, and other entertainment opportunities. Not one completely built just for the tourist. Flying into Billings was very easy and the Airport was smaller and easy to maneuver through. This was true for the Car Rental areas, Baggage claim areas, and getting through the security checkpoints on Memorial Day Weekend.

Billings OK.
Billings OK. My choice of hotel based on price ($95.00) because I was only there overnight. For the price, the hotel was marginal.
I think the staff was trying, but did not have training or equipment. I noticed the maid cart was virtually empty.

The room was good it had everything we needed, but right from the start we had problems, as soon as we arrived we parked on the side of the hotel near our room for ease of luggage handling, our room was a pet friendly room, we were downloading the bags from our car and there was a maintenance guy in the hallway and he immediately complained that our 3 month old puppy was scratching the door and that he was going to cause damage, we told him that we are just arriving "so give us a break". the next morning we left the hotel and we stopped at a gas station where we realize one of the license plates was missing and probably stolen during the night.

Billings is really a great town.
Billings is really a great town. It does have its share of crime, but given its size, it's not unexpected and if you pay attention to your surroundings, it is not hard to avoid. Don't leave valuables in your car and make sure you lock it up and you should be just fine. I lived there for 15 years and only recently moved away. I like to go back, especially in the summer time, there are a lot of things to do and see.
Great hotel to stay at. The location was a bit sketchy but once your inside the hotel it felt safe and secure. Love the fact that the rooms are large with a kitchenette. The hotel and room was very clean, which made me comfortable. The front desk personnel was friendly and accommodating. I travel back and forth from the east to the west and will definitely stay here again as Billings is my half way point. So I've stayed at quite a few hotels in Billings and this one was by far the best for the rate!!!!
I chose this hotel over chain properties because of online reviews hoping it lived up to its ratings. I am happy to report that it exceeded my expectations & I would never stay anywhere but here next time I’m in Billings. The courtesy shuttle took us everywhere we needed to go, night and day, including restaurants, airports, golf courses and trails. The daily breakfast and evening snacks were nice, especially the warm cookies, but I cannot overstate how wonderful the staff is.
The room was large, very clean and comfortable, with. all modern amenities. The staff was most helpful in making detailed inquiries on my half regarding travel over Bear Tooth Highway, which had been closed because of bad weather. The staff made excellent recommendations for restaurants, health facilities, and other local amenities. Overall, a very enjoyable - if short - stay.
Our room was very clean. Had nice soap and plenty of towels. Breakfast was great! Had fresh fruit and hot food ready for us. The coffee was great! The breakfast seating area was clean. The pool and hot tub were fantastic! Billings was the perfect little getaway to go see the holiday lights at the zoo.
We like the rooms although there was excessive noise and smell of chlorine was strong in our room, coming from pool area, but by the time 10pm rolled around all was good as far as the noise . Breakfast is the best I have ever had from all the hotels I have stayed in
They should reopen their restaurant. Very nice people running the hotel. There needs to be a better security in place to feel safer. Bad location of Billings to have a nostalgic hotel. Too many homeless people wandering in and out
I couldn't stay here because I hit a deer in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. I asked Booking.com and Northern Hotel for a refund or credit, with no response from either. So that's why I am giving the rating I am giving it.
The hotel was very well located.....right at the intersection of HWY 90. The lobby was fantastic - large and open! The breakfast facilities were good but very limited selection........no cold cereal for adults!
Friendly staff, very nice large room, facilities very nice and clean. Loved having coffee available in the lobby area 24 hrs. The breakfast was the best I have had in a hotel ever!
Best hotel in Billings, beautiful facilities, excellent value. Outdoor area very inviting, king suite actually a SUITE with nice kitchen. Breakfast very good
