The inn itself is quaint and beautiful. The location is perfect: a block from the ocean and walking distance from the ferry, shops, and restaurants. The continental breakfast offered a wide variety of yummy food, the wine and cheese gathering on the porch was fun and entertaining, and the staff is a friendly bunch who go the extra mile to care for their guests-people you’d like to call friends!

Location was great for us to explore both ends of the Island.
Located in Edgartown, a 8-minute walk from Lighthouse Beach, The Lightkeeper’s Inn has accommodations with a garden, free private parking and a terrace.
A very comfortable older home off the main road. Woodsy feeling which was nice and a very private yard. Not close to beaches and a bit of a drive to the closest town. There are stores nearby so that is not a problem. Pictures of the outside of the house do not do it justice! We loved the screened porch.

Vineyard Haven was a quaint part of the island that I'm glad we stayed because it was quiet after 9pm to get some quality sleep after a long day. There are great restaurants and shops to consume one day and then take a dip in the water. If I had to do my trip over I would break my days up to stay in Oaks Bluff and Edgartown just to have different experiences and catch a comdey show and walk back to where we stay instead of bus back. Getting around is super easy because the buses run 15-30 mins of each other. Getting a bus pass is $8 for 64 years and younger and $5 for 65+. A day pass will keep for the next day so be careful not to throw it away! Overall my stay was excellent cannot wait to visit again.

It was a wonderful place with many things to do and places to explore. Tip if you go for the sunset at Menemsha beach and want to order from Larsens seafood (which everybody does) call your order in early in afternoon and just pick up. The line waits for hours.

Martha's Vineyard is a wonderful, warm and inviting place.
Martha's Vineyard is a wonderful, warm and inviting place. I have been coming here since I was 11, got married at the Edgartown light house and docked our boat in Edgartown marina. I hope to move here some day.

Vineyard Haven is a bit quiet.
Vineyard Haven is a bit quiet. We found it difficult to find good restaurants. Everything seems to close quite early. On our second night, we travelled to Oak Bluffs where there was far more entertainment. Still, a pleasant place to stay and good coffee shop at Waterside Market.

It’s almost heaven!
It’s almost heaven! If you haven’t been to the Vineyard this is the place to start. The ferry lets you off in town with beaches, shops, galleries, movie and performance theater, library, and diverting restaurants within walking distance. Great range of accommodations nearby from resort hotels to B&B’s, classic inns and creative alternative options.
Start your MV vacation in Vineyard Haven then explore the island by bike, boat, car or bus. You’ll never want to leave!!!
Charles and Charles boutique hotel oozes luxury and first class personal service. The peace and quiet, coupled with the lovely decor is so easy on the mind. When you climb into bed its sumptuous and the bedding is divine, simply the best 'Mascioni' oh and it's Hermes Paris eau d'orange verte toiletries! Just when you think what more could anyone expect...wait until you see the breakfast, a delicious work of art. Thank you so much and we'll be back
This property is fantastic. It is a little bit out of the way from the center Vineyard Haven, though we thought the ability to unwind away from the crowded center is great feature. It is very well appointed and has lost of space and rooms. The house was immaculate upon arrival. It is definitely one of those homes you wish you could stay in much longer. The hummingbirds fluttering around the beautifully curated garden was an additional bonus.
The breakfasts were thoughtfully planned and the food was fresh and delicious! Charles was wonderful about communicating with us prior to, during our stay, and immediately after our stay. The property is very peaceful and a great place to relax. Our room was clean and beautifully decorated. We were able to easily walk into town and there are plenty of eating places nearby. Charles and Charles is highly recommended!
Wonderful location, within easy walking distance of Vineyard Haven main streets and ferry. Very kind and welcoming host and staff, very accommodating with requests (like leaving luggage around after check-out). Immaculately clean and luxuriously appointed room (coffee maker, fridge with complimentary water and wine, etc.). Gourmet breakfast. Nice small pool. Bikes available at no extra cost. Lovely place.
The breakfast was the best I’ve ever had. The presentation also was beautiful. It couldn’t have been better. The room had everything we could have needed. It was very clean. The location was in a residential area that was an easy 10 minute walk to the restaurants and shops in Vineyard Haven. They also provided bikes.
The staff were all wonderful - very friendly and helpful. Beds were comfy and clean. The location is relatively convenient with a bus that stops right out front taking you to Edgartown and connecting to other bus lines that explore the island. Big kitchen.
Breakfast was outstanding and unexpected. Bikes were provided to venture to shops nearby, and bus transit was simple for longer travel. Flowers were stunning not just where we stayed but the entire island. Felt like I was in a flower shop.
The room was lovely and the B&B was only a short walk to Vineyard Haven. Breakfast was delicious. By the pool on a sunny day and brought to the room when it rained. Charles was so nice and informative. highly recommend.
We had a wonderful stay. Charles and Charles were so kind and full of great recommendations. The other staff at the hotel were lovely as well! The food was also amazing. We would love to return someday!
