Staff was outstanding.
Located in downtown Providence, this hotel is across from the Rhode Island Convention Center and the WaterPlace Park. It offers a fitness center and an outdoor patio. The room and bathroom were nice and clean. The front desk person greeted us and helped us get acclimated when we arrived and suggested a restaurant as we arrived very late due to traveling on the road for over 3 hours.

The Biltmore: This is my favorite hotel in the state of Rhode Island. I love the decor and it’s always clean. The beds are soooo comfortable and I always sleep well on them. Always a pleasant staff when we stay too. Lots of good restaurants within walking distance. Fun nightlife, easy to get around and park in the city. Plenty of events and things to do including skating rink where I saw bumper boats but didn’t get to try them! One of our favorite cities for a weekend getaway!
I went during an offpeak time so I’m not sure my experience of Providence was typical. It was like a ghost town. I did love the things that were open - craftland, small point cafe, RISD museum. Other than that there wasn’t much to do there. I ended up unexpectedly planning a day trip to Newport, which was much more active. I ate at the Dorrance, which was lovely and the staff were wonderful. Providence is very walkable but once you get to the east the hills are steep (and the west, so I’ve read). Some fun activities are finding all the street art, the RISD museum, the view from Prospect Terrace.
Enjoable, lots to do- concerts, nice restaurants (seafood, captol grill, a nice German restaurant) shopping . Very much a walkable city and there seemed to be plenty of public transportation and parking. Some nice neighborhoods downtown and over by Brown. Great college sports in season.
Providence is a lovely historic New England town; very different from my midwestern home! We had wonderfully good meals at Cassarino’s, Luxe Burger, and Louie’s. The Hilton Providence was only fair.
Visited for providence metal fest (best day ever). Lots to do. We stayed 3 days and there was much more to see. Good food. Cool antique shops and record stores around. Fete music hall is awesome. Warwick, Cranston and Newport are less than an hour away and cool to visit. Boston isnt far. Overall Providence is a good location.
Phenomenal restoration project! Loved the revival of downtown Providence, the river, the hills, with all the old streets of hundreds of century’s old homes. Loved the College campuses, the quaint old tree lined streets and the Old Town atmosphere. The Best was the hundreds of places where delicate cuisine was served, much to our delight! Federal Hill, Old Wharf Street, all around the Biltmore and transportation terminal. Great walking city. Parking is tricky so plan ahead.

We rented 2 rooms at the Lofts for our wedding and absolutely loved it! It is so different from your generic hotel- beautiful minimalist decor, stunning natural light, and close to everything in Providence. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the owners were lovely. They have their art studio in the same building which was also really cool. We already got some of our photos back and they’re absolutely beautiful. I’d definitely recommend the Due House Lofts to anyone.

Historical building in historic Providence downtown district close to some shops and a few great cafes, restaurants, and bars. Old elevator and staircase of original building are some of the fabulous details that remain in this boutique local hotel across from an old Episcopal Church and down the block from the theater. Wonderful restaurant and bar now attached to hotel with their recent expansion.

The staff at the Providence Hilton could not have been nicer or more helpful with a family emergency that made my plans a bit confusing. They were great in rearranging our rooms to accommodate the problem and were terrific in giving advice for getting around the area, where to eat and in the Hilton bar and restaurant staff is top notch and super friendly.

Location is as good as it gets in the heart of the downtown of this lovely city. I’ve been to many many hotels in my time, but never have I met a more lovely bunch of staff members. Each and every one of them was great, accommodating, and greeted me with nothing less than a smile no matter what I was approaching them with.
