We travel through Winnemucca to get home, so we try to stay at Candlewood when it's available. We don't use any services. The room was in nice condition and liked the kitchenette too.

Friendly small town, but not a lot to do there other than day trips hiking etc. - not much in the actual town other than casinos. However, if you go there, be sure to go to the Griddle for breakfast or lunch. And, right across the side street is a place called the Ivory Room - it is a Boubon and Wine piano bar that just opened - great place, friendly owner and staff, good booze, fair prices, and live music.

We were there for the Oct 14 annular solar eclipse which we managed to see when the clouds parted, thankfully! The small city/town is not glamorous but we found warm charm in our hotel, the beautiful surrounding mountains, the Humboldt Museum, the very fine county library, and Silver Peak restaurant, Bambu Sushi and Griddle which served tasty food with smiling accommodating servers. Winnemucca may not be a destination city but it will serve you nicely if you need a place to park yourself for the night - or for an eclipse!

We've stayed at Winnemucca Inn several times.
We've stayed at Winnemucca Inn several times. We like that the casino and restaurant is on-site. The rooms are very nice and always clean. We did have to ask for more toilet tissue and our desk lamp didn't work, we also didn't have enough shampoo, conditioner and body wash for four adults but we we like staying there and will be back! We only stayed one night this time which is probably why we weren't asked about no room service or reusing towels. Winnemucca Inn is a great place to stay. Thank you.

This is kind of an oasis in the desert.
This is kind of an oasis in the desert. Ranching, Gambling, rugged and rural but I like that. Lots of authentic food choices along with plenty of places for indie coffee shops. I stayed 1 night and replaced a full set of car tires, People seem honest, friendly and likeable. Ranchers are a bit stand offish but once you get talking to them they are very friendly. Kind of like America in the 70s - has stayed the same which is kind of cool 😀

cool town for those who Gamble and don't want to go to Las vegas. the hotel is getting a little bit older, but kept fairly clean. there was no crime around it that you could see or tell of. the outdoor pool and hot tub was above average. be ready to smell marijuana smoke everywhere you go, which is okay in my eyes. not real good for kids, but I guess a dose of reality is beneficial.

We thought that there were interesting restaurants and small shops nearby that would be fun to explore on a longer stay. We did not try the gambling but it looked like there was a good variety of casinos in the area.
The room was very nicely appointed, although we didn't stay in that room because it was already occupied! So they moved us over to the EconoLodge, which was also quite nice. The EconoLodge breakfast was very nice: make your own waffles and pancakes, dry cereals, yogurt, oranges, Wonder Bread bagels, plus great coffee. Prices are insignificantly different among the dozen motels in town, so the deciding factor in Winnemucca has to be the quality of the rooms. ALSO, don't miss the amazing local museum!!
The kitchenette was wonderful! It made our stay over night so pleasant. The room and bathroom were very clean. The beds were very comfortable. Staff was nice and friendly. Thank you for the reviews on Expedia site, we had never been there (town) but picked the right hotel to stay as we drove up to Idaho!!
We will stay at this hotel again when we travel that way again! We recommend anybody who likes a hotel room with a kitchenette and large floor spaces stay at Candlewood Suites Winnemucca!
Clean room, friendly service, pet friendly and even gave treats and dog area right outside room. Great location, easy on/off freeway. Close casino if that is why you stay, plenty of food options within an easy drive, gave discount coupon for dinning as well which was a pleasant surprise. Highly recommend for anyone traveling with pets. Nice continental breakfast with plenty of options for travelers.
Friendly, kind staff. Very clean, simple room - exactly what we were looking for in an overnight stop across I-80. If all you're looking for is a clean, affordable room, Town House Motel is for you. If you need something fancier than a 1980s-era facility, keep looking. This will be our new go-to whenever we need to stay in Winnemucca.
Squeeky clean and well outfitted. We have stayed here on many occasions over the past 30 years because
Winnemucca is a convenient one-day drive from the San Francisco Bay area. Fortunately the quality has remained excellent after the original owners retired and sold the property several years ago.
You know how some cheap hotels are maybe clean but everything is kind of shabby and grubby and a little cringy? This isn’t that. Very clean. Nice layout of room. Everything tidy and in excellent condition. Nice linens. Would definitely stay again.
the hotel is very clean, quickly checked in, despite the fact that we arrived late at night on December 25th. Very nice owner, helpful staff. The hotel had good products for breakfast: Yoghurt, milk, pancakes, juices, fruits and more. Thank you
Three beds in one room was great for our group so we could all be in one place for our road stop! There was even an extra sink outside of the bathroom so we could all brush our teeth. The location was right in the heart of Winnemucca.
Very much appreciate welcoming my dog. Pet friendly rooms on back of hotel with looking out on a screened narrow garden. Operable windows can be opened with privacy and no distractions to encourage an unwelcome bark!
The staff was very friendly. No complaints with them at all. The hotel was old and cheaply renovated the elevator was not working. The The bathroom could’ve used some new fixtures and some updating
new and clean, nice decor , a very nice hotel and next door to wingers, my 9 yr old had a great time playing pool (at wingers) . good for one night. nicest hotel I’ve stayed at in Winnemucca
We've stayed here a couple times and can say this hotel is good value--big rooms, comfortable bed, quiet, solid internet, good coffee, decent breakfast, next to a supermarket.
Very reasonable pet fee and price. It served its purpose as a cheap place to overnight on our road trip. Not a place to stay long (but neither is Winnemucca)
