We arrived 6 hours before our check-in time at night, even though he gave us a very comfortable room. The breakfast was very hearty. A plate full of local cooked delights with eggs, green and peroshki. He even took us to a cafe of his recommendation, helped us with bus tickets. Gold person! We loved everything about our stay.

Authentic and transporting rooms with full breakfast and very responsive and helpful staff. Especially recommend the exquisite and spacious family rooms, where we stayed, though am sure the smaller rooms also beautiful. The historic centre is delightful, though very touristy.
If you need a taxi, download Yandex app. Works efficiently and is about a fifth of the price of of getting a taxi on the street, plus avoids the haggling Do give Yandex drivers a tip.
Stay in the old residential town, rather than the tourist centre; it's real.
If you want to travel north to Nurota and the mountains (170 km) theoretically possible in a series of shared minibus, but not that easy in in practice, I got stuck half way. Yandex quoted $32.

If you have time go also to see local markets as the caravan and the kolkhoz full just of locals. As a restaurant I suggest Old Bukhara and the filled eggplants and the Armenian appetiser

Nice city.
Nice city. Comparing to Samarkand Bukhara is smaller and main sightseeing spot are concentrated in the old city center so it's easy to see everything in 1-2 days. I would recommend to hire local guide and just relax walking via old Bukhara streets.

It was a unique experience & was like to set foot into the history of Central Asia. Several centuries of South Asia’s history starts from Bukhara, Samarkand & Tashkent. So, obviously this trip into the past was very exciting! Every building, monument in the city reminded us of their past glory & the great Mughals! From Chengis Khan, to Amir Taimur, Iban Batuta et all had set foot on this holy land. The city should get more prominence amongst the historians & tourists alike! Being nearest to India with 1.4 billion population & it’s really cheap value for money accommodation & delicious food will attract hoards of visitors. But before that more flight options & more English speaking young Uzbeks are the real necessity! We would love to travel many more times in the future. Long live Uzbeks! Long live Uzbekistan!
The apartment is very nice and very modern furnished with oriental tatch. Very appropriate for Uzbekistan and Bukhara. The location is also very good, not far from the old town, you have all the shops and restaurants downstairs practically in the courtyard. The host is very friendly and helpful, always asked us if we needed anything and if everything was fine for us. Super apartment fully equipped with everything you need. We liked it very much. Only to recommend. Thank you host
The hotel decors is charming both traditional and elegant, the location is very good, 5 mins to Chor Minors, 15 min to Labi Hauz, all the attractions are in working distance. The breakfast restaurant is spacious, good choice of food if you come up at 8:00, but we came up at 9:00 the next day, not much food left, they do not refill except 2 fired eggs for us ( breakfast serves 8:00-10:00), the room is clean when we check in. Hotel staff is helpful generally.
I stayed at 20 sqm room and everything was fine, realy nothing to complain about. Hotel is rather new, room is spacious, matrass is soft, linnen is good cotton, bathroom is clean, shower is strong, AC is working, breakfast is good and the girl manager is helpful and speaks good english. They were happy to provide no meet and less sugary breakfast. For me it was best value for money in Uzbekistan. Definitely would stay again.
This is by far my best stay in uzbekistan, Fakhreddine the owner and his family made feel like home. The breakfast is excellent and varied. The location is great.
Fakhreddine is full of positive energy and ready to help.
The house is beautiful and well maintained, the family organized for us a dinner and showed us how locals prepare the plov.
I Highly recommend and if i’m back to bukhara i’ll definitely stay here.
You know the feeling of emptiness after ending long, great holidays? I came to Bukhara Friday evening and have to leave Sunday morning, and I still have almost 3 months of my journey through Uzbekistan. Despite that, it was enough to feel really sad after leaving, because the climate of the ART Guest House and the hosting family is absolutely exceptional and I miss them sooo much :)
SO glad I stayed here while in Bukhara! Conveniently located to explore the city during the day, and a beautiful, peaceful oasis to come back to in the evenings. The room exceeded expectations - the nicest and most comfortable of anywhere I stayed in Uzbekistan. Kind and helpful staff as well. If I ever plan to return to Bukhara, the first thing I'll do will be to book here again.
This hotel was everything what we needed! The location was excellent, very clean and beautiful room. We had breakfast every day which is tasty, fresh and unique! The stuff was very kind and helpful especially when we needed help. The view from the rooftop/terrace was fabulous, as the hotel is located in the heart of ancient Bukhara. Will definitely come back again!
This hotel was an unexpected delight. Staff were attentive and helpful. Breakfast was excellent in terms of variety and quantity. My room was clean and comfortable. The on-site restaurant was excellent and the dining room was beautiful--a museum piece of Bukhara historic architecture and culture. It is a pleasure to write a positive review about Lyabi House Hotel
Oasis Boutique Hotel is located near Bukhara's main cultural sites, making it a great place to stay. The area is safe to walk at night, essential for a female solo traveller. The room was bigger than I expected, comfortable and well-equipped. The staff was friendly and professional and ready to help when I had a problem with the taxi pick-up.
Very cute and charming little guesthouse. Homey feel. The breakfast is by far the best I had during my time in Uzbekistan - served hot, different everyday, huge. Apparently the couple who owns the place is out of town so their daughter is running it right now. She was very sweet and helpful. I really recommend staying here!
Lovely hotel in the center of Bukhara located in a historic building, you feel like you are in an ancient world. The hotel Is very well curated, especially the common patio and the rooms are high-end (keeping in mind that you are in rural Uzbekistan). The breakfast is fantastic and served at the patio.
The best value for money accommodation I booked in Uzbekistan. The hotel is centrally located, a stone throw from the main sights, shops and restaurants. Breakfast was fantastic with various kinds of fruits and bread was fresh. The host family is very kind and helpful too, I will definitely come back.
best breakfast we had in Uzbekistan
owner texted us prior to arrival to assist with getting to the hotel from the train station
owner arranged visit of lesser known sites and provided great lunch recommendations for local restaurants
great courtyard for relaxing in the heat of the day
Everything was perfect! The lady is super nice and tried to help me as much as she could. Easily accessible to the old town as well. The best accommodation deal I had in Uzbekistan :) If I ever come back to Bukhara I will definitely come back here.
Porso Hotel in Bukhara, Uzbekistan, is a charming boutique hotel situated in the heart of the old city, near the Lyabi Khauz complex. It blends the traditional architectural style of old Bukhara with modern interior design
I've travelled all around Uzbekistan, and this hotel was ABSOLUTELY THE BEST!
Pretty, clean, cosy, with a good breakfast and, above all, with a super available receptionist!
I'll be back here next time in Samarkand!
The location near the old city main attractions, banks/ATM, minimarkets and restaurants.
The hotel decoration
The bedroom comfortable and warm.
The room and the hotel cleanliness
The staff was helpful.
Everything was perfect, incredible boutique hotel, the decoration, the breakfast, the staff, the owner, the location, it was a zero fault. From far the best hotel I went in Uzbekistan.
