We arrived 6 hours before our check-in time at night, even though he gave us a very comfortable room. The breakfast was very hearty. A plate full of local cooked delights with eggs, green and peroshki. He even took us to a cafe of his recommendation, helped us with bus tickets. Gold person! We loved everything about our stay.

Friendly locals. Safe city; low crime.
Easily walkable. Stunning collection of historic buildings. Good rqesturants - clean safe food.
The historic centre is delightful, though very touristy.
If you need a taxi, download Yandex app. Works efficiently and is about a fifth of the price of of getting a taxi on the street, plus avoids the haggling Do give Yandex drivers a tip.
Stay in the old residential town, rather than the tourist centre; it's real.
If you want to travel north to Nurota and the mountains (170 km) theoretically possible in a series of shared minibus, but not that easy in in practice, I got stuck half way. Yandex quoted $32.
A helpful English speaking taxi driver in Navoi (Uzbekistan 93088 7679) quoted $30.

Nice city.
Nice city. Comparing to Samarkand Bukhara is smaller and main sightseeing spot are concentrated in the old city center so it's easy to see everything in 1-2 days. I would recommend to hire local guide and just relax walking via old Bukhara streets.

It was a unique experience & was like to set foot into the history of Central Asia. Several centuries of South Asia’s history starts from Bukhara, Samarkand & Tashkent. So, obviously this trip into the past was very exciting! Every building, monument in the city reminded us of their past glory & the great Mughals! From Chengis Khan, to Amir Taimur, Iban Batuta et all had set foot on this holy land. The city should get more prominence amongst the historians & tourists alike! Being nearest to India with 1.4 billion population & it’s really cheap value for money accommodation & delicious food will attract hoards of visitors. But before that more flight options & more English speaking young Uzbeks are the real necessity! We would love to travel many more times in the future. Long live Uzbeks! Long live Uzbekistan!
Sabina and her family are the best hosts one could ask for! They welcomed us and made our stay truly enjoyable, they were incredibly generous, helpful, and hospitable. Answered all of the questions we had, walked us to the old city, cooked us delicious Uzbek dishes, and even invited us to one of their family member birthday celebration. They did not only make our stay in Bukhara truly enjoyable but they also made our experience in Uzbekistan truly unforgettable. We would definitely come back on our future trip to Bukhara!
Everything was perfect. The hotel appears to be brand new or newly renovated so everything was in pristine condition. It has all the amenities in the room. Fridge, kettle, tv, fresh toiletries daily. The location is great. a 10 minute walk from the main square with great restaurants in the vicinity. Beautiful royal architecture and decorated.
Housekeeping is done daily and the breakfast served was amazing. All the staff personnel are polite, and kind. Just a fantastic experience all around. Highly recommended
Wonderful hotel. The hotel is centrally located in Bukhara, one of the cultural centers of the ancient world. The rooms were spacious, very clean and beautifully decorated.
Islam, the front desk manager, was excellent. He anticipated our needs, spoke english, and helped to guide us around the center of Bukhara. He even accompanied me once to the rooftop to see the sunrise over Bukhara and he told me with a tale of the last king of Uzbekistan.
Highly recommended for location and staff.
This has been the top stay of our whole time in Uzbekistan! Nurbek and his family were very welcoming and helpful with every question question we had. The house is their former historic family home and there is a lot of love and detail put into every corner. It's beautiful. The rooms are spacious and warm (we visited in winter). Amazing breakfast, too. The location is super, view from the room of the Ark and just round the corner from the Kalon minaret.
The guest house was super clean and well kept. The breakfast was among the best I had in Uzbekistan. The owner and family are also very friendly and speak great English. One of the best things about Sarrafon is the location! You are right in the heart of the old town and can do everything on foot. In 1 min you are at the central square and good restaurants/atms are easy to find. Would highly recommended to anyone!!!
The hotel itself is like a landmark, easy to spot. Reception and check-in were smooth. Was provided a room at top floor and the room was awesome with a separate living space and 1.5 bathrooms and a small balcony. Room had all facilities and overall service quality was great. Decent breakfast options. Overall a good stay. Post renovation, it's definitely a good place to stay in Bukhara.
You know the feeling of emptiness after ending long, great holidays? I came to Bukhara Friday evening and have to leave Sunday morning, and I still have almost 3 months of my journey through Uzbekistan. Despite that, it was enough to feel really sad after leaving, because the climate of the ART Guest House and the hosting family is absolutely exceptional and I miss them sooo much :)
Traveled around Uzbekistan for 5 days and Naqshband was by far the best hotel we have booked. Best location, authentic yet modern family atmosphere, very well trained, helpful and helpful staff. We slept well and had a great breakfast on the terrace. This terrace is one of the highest points in the old city. In short, a cultural, stylish hotel. I will definitely come back here.
Brand new room and facilities in an excellent part of town managed by a very nice family. Havas guest house exceeded all my expectations in every way and was the best place I stayed at in all of Uzbekistan. I'll definitely look to stay here when I come back to Bukhara and you won't regret booking here so just do it.
it is an historical site at the heart of Bukhara, so it is magical in a way. the breakfast served Bull staff is amazing. compared to other facilities in Uzbekistan, the staff was really friendly and welcoming, especially the two boys. we checked in past midnight and they were really welcoming. worth for money
We were greeted by incredible hospitality in a cozy and comfortable room, with amazing breakfast (well, this seems to be normal in Uzbekistan:). Located in a quiet street 2 minutes away from the main square, it has a small shop inside with everything necessary. You don't have to look for more.
Fascinated by this boutique hotel in Bukhara with wonderful and exceptional hotel staff -Azim & Murad - they were so kind to provide all the information needed and cared too much about the guests. Breakfast was too good and architecture of hotel - like in a dream.
The family that runs the hotel is wonderful! Very friendly and helpful. Sultan, the owner, offers great restaurant and historical sites recommendations. Breakfast is offered and is delicious. Also the location is wonderful. Can't recommend more!
Best hotel I've stayed at in Uzbekistan.
Room was great and clean, also no problems with hot water.
The staff was even better than the rooms, really kind people willing to help out .
I wish I could take the hotel with me to Tashkent :)
Excellent family run guesthouse. The breakfast on the rooftop terrace with views of the old town was fantastic. Very clean and the room was spacious. The hotel is conveniently located to walk to all the main sites in Bukhara. Great value!
A handsome, affordable, and well-situated hotel in Bukhara run by two brothers, one of whom speaks excellent English. From start to finish, they were warm and very accommodating, making this one of my nicest stays in Uzbekistan.
The location is perfect, 2mins walking distance to main places. The room is very clean and spacious. One of the best breakfast i had in Uzbekistan. I would recommend this hotel when you come to Uzbekistan
It’s in a very good location. A short walk away from the main historical sights of Bukhara.
Breakfast is fantastic, the best of all the places we stayed during our trip to Uzbekistan.
It was very clean with all amenities. Breakfast was also ok. Good value for money. Yandex taxi is very cheap to go anywhere like free. I will definitely recommend this hotel to stay.
