We arrived 6 hours before our check-in time at night, even though he gave us a very comfortable room. The breakfast was very hearty. A plate full of local cooked delights with eggs, green and peroshki. He even took us to a cafe of his recommendation, helped us with bus tickets. Gold person! We loved everything about our stay.

Authentic and transporting rooms with full breakfast and very responsive and helpful staff. Especially recommend the exquisite and spacious family rooms, where we stayed, though am sure the smaller rooms also beautiful. We traveled as a couple but hotel would also be a perfect venue for family reunion or group of friends. A wonderful lodging experience in this incredible city.

Beautiful city with an old world charm. Most attractions are within walking distance if you stay in the old town near Lyabi Hauz area. It's fun getting lost in the narrow old streets. Many options to eat. Chalet at the main square is quite good for both Uzbek and International food.
Try and do your shopping away from main areas, else you will have to pay premium prices for the same products that are available for less at a little distance.
Avoid visiting in peak summer. If you do, try and stay indoors during peak sun time.
Friendly locals. Safe city; low crime.
Easily walkable. Stunning collection of historic buildings. Good rqesturants - clean safe food.
The historic centre is delightful, though very touristy.
If you need a taxi, download Yandex app. Works efficiently and is about a fifth of the price of of getting a taxi on the street, plus avoids the haggling Do give Yandex drivers a tip.
Stay in the old residential town, rather than the tourist centre; it's real.
If you want to travel north to Nurota and the mountains (170 km) theoretically possible in a series of shared minibus, but not that easy in in practice, I got stuck half way. Yandex quoted $32.
A helpful English speaking taxi driver in Navoi (Uzbekistan 93088 7679) quoted $30.

Nice city.
Nice city. Comparing to Samarkand Bukhara is smaller and main sightseeing spot are concentrated in the old city center so it's easy to see everything in 1-2 days. I would recommend to hire local guide and just relax walking via old Bukhara streets.
I would give Chor Minor Boutique hotel 11 out of 10 if I could. They made sure we had a fantastic introduction to Uzbekistan. They booked an airport transfer for $2, arranged a day trip to sights just out of the centre for a very reasonable price. The location is walkable to all sights and great eateries. The room has a great decor and is homely and traditional. Wonderful plentiful breakfast. There is hot water and tea/coffee downstairs whenever you want. I could not say enough for this lovely family run establishment.
The best hotel of all my long trip in Uzbekistan! Amazing breakfast, clean and modern room with fridge and view on the minaret. Amazing staff, especially Hakimjon, he's been very kind and efficient, easily helping me to add one night at the hotel with no problem. The location is just perfect, also, the have the view from the terrace where they offer you a tea. And it's even cheap, it may even be the best hotel I've ever been in term of quality/price. Very well done👍🏻
The location is perfect, just off Lyabi Khause Square and easily walkable to everything in old town. Breakfast is amazing - they just keep bringing food, and it's all good. The family who run the guesthouse are really wonderful, honestly concerned that you enjoy your stay, helpful, and more responsive before arrival than most guesthouses I stayed at in Uzbekistan. They can also help arrange transportation to sites outside the center for really good rates.
This has been the top stay of our whole time in Uzbekistan! Nurbek and his family were very welcoming and helpful with every question question we had. The house is their former historic family home and there is a lot of love and detail put into every corner. It's beautiful. The rooms are spacious and warm (we visited in winter). Amazing breakfast, too. The location is super, view from the room of the Ark and just round the corner from the Kalon minaret.
Boutique Hotel Shakh offers a delightful stay in Uzbekistan. With its modern amenities, comfortable rooms, and friendly staff, it's a fantastic choice for travelers seeking convenience and relaxation. The central location makes it easy to explore nearby attractions, while the cozy atmosphere feels like a home away from home. Overall, a wonderful option for a memorable stay in Uzbekistan.
Traveled around Uzbekistan for 5 days and Naqshband was by far the best hotel we have booked. Best location, authentic yet modern family atmosphere, very well trained, helpful and helpful staff. We slept well and had a great breakfast on the terrace. This terrace is one of the highest points in the old city. In short, a cultural, stylish hotel. I will definitely come back here.
EXCEPTIONAL. Ancient authentic 2 floor luxury appartments with extremely spacious living room and bedroom. Lovely and supportive host who recommended great places and amazing activities. Breakfast was so good that we were supper full for the all day. We received an A-star hospitality and one of the best experience in whole Uzbekistan. Absolutely best hotel value for money!
Exceeded all expectations. Amazing location at the heart of Old Bukhara. Amazing hospitality. Nice size room and bathroom. Breakfast was set aside for each table and was remarkable for the sheer variety of options. You definitely had plenty to eat. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Hotel arranged a car to and from the nearby train station.
Absolutely unique and beautiful hotel with oriental flavor! Two young men at the reception were so friendly and helpful.
The breakfast was the best for our trip to Uzbekistan! I wish I could stay longer in such a wonderful place!
If you go to visit Bukhara stay in this hotel, you won't regret it!

Location is impossible to beat. The hotel is right in the center of the old city.
Exceptional staff. We traveled as a group of four and all of us are vegans. It's hard to find good vegan food in Buhara, but the restaurant staff offered us to prepare special meals for us.
Lovely guesthouse located close to the city center. Tohir and his family make you feel very welcome in their home, always offering tea and sharing a good laugh and smile. It was a pleasure to stay there during my stay in Bukhara, which was my favorite city all-round in Uzbekistan!
Amazing location in the old town, but not deep in the residential streets. Very convenient to walk to all the sights, lots of cafes and restaurants nearby. New hotel, nice design, very clean, comfy beds. Great breakfast and very attentive staff.
Superb! The location, SPA zone, continental breakfast, the dinner with the sunset view on the top, very friendly staff and etc…. We had wonderful 3nights and enjoyed our stay and the old city of Bukhara with walking distamce from Mercury hotel.
The host is a very kind person and very helpful, he shared numerous tips with us and made our stay very memorable. The breakfast room is a must visit in Bukhara! Probably our best stay in Uzbekistan and fully recommended !!
Very charming hotel in Uzbekistan style. Clean, big room, good breakfast, 5-10 minutes walk to the old town center. At the reception always order very cheap taxi for us.
Good advices about restaurants, money changing etc.
I've travelled all around Uzbekistan, and this hotel was ABSOLUTELY THE BEST!
Pretty, clean, cosy, with a good breakfast and, above all, with a super available receptionist!
I'll be back here next time in Samarkand!
The location near the old city main attractions, banks/ATM, minimarkets and restaurants.
The hotel decoration
The bedroom comfortable and warm.
The room and the hotel cleanliness
The staff was helpful.
Very good value as breakfast was included, and not too far of a walk to the main sites. Lots of top shelf hotels nearby only this hotel is just off the main drag.
New and clean hotel in a quiet street. Nice management team. Comfortable room. Good breakfast. It was the best hotel I had in Uzbekistan in this price range.
