Gareth was a consummate host. From the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty. Canapés prepared in the kitchen served at 6 pm daily with wine from an excellent selection. Gareth and Grant took the trouble to chat to us while we ate the delicious snacks. We felt like special guests welcomed into their beautiful home.
The breakfasts were a highlight with different fare every day. Omelettes, mini-quiches and other hot egg-baked dishes. All mouth-watering .
For my birthday my daughter and son-in-law joined us for a specially catered lunch. Slow roasted Osso Buco was perfect. A lot of time and effort went into making the lunch memorable
Every room is furnished with treasures which must have been chosen with care over a long period. My wife, who gardens, marvelled at the garden the variety of plants and the beauty with which it was layed out.
A slice of heaven on earth. We hope to return soon

Perfectly located in a charming town with a breathtaking backdrop, this Airbnb is a true gem.
We arrived around 18:30 checked in and headed up the road for dinner, just 50m away with a choice of the Restaurants on the strip.
The rooms exuded beauty, and the bed and bedding was out of this world, offering a luxurious sleep experience.
The breakfast surpassed all expectations; Antonio, the host, prepared a three-course homemade feast. From freshly baked croissants with homemade preserves to a delightful cheese board, homemade yogurt with muesli and fresh fruit, and a finishing touch of a banana pancake with natural honey and lemon juice—all enjoyed in an artistic, quaint, and homely living and dining area.
I'll certainly return!

The cottage is perfectly set-up for a relaxing stay in a small country town and I will be back there in no time. It's within walking distance to multiple coffee shops, restaurants and the town grocery store, and yet wonderfully quiet despite the town being quite busy in the summer. The pool and air-conditioning were perfect to combat the hot weather; the bedrooms were sleek and comfortable with ample packing space and lovely, spacious ensuite bathrooms. The kitchen has to be highlight for me, it's beautiful, modern and able to cover every need I had when it came to cooking!
The hosts were kind and welcoming, leaving us to enjoy the space and privacy of the cottage. Their response time was excellent in the event that we needed help with anything. Overall, this cottage was a hidden gem I expect won't stay hidden for long!

Riebeek Kasteel is a delight with loads of bistros, restaurants to choose from and charming stores to browse around in. The hotel's restaurant and adjacent Fench Bistro both provide charming ambiance and tasty menus.

Full of lovely restaurants and wine and olive farms nearby to visit.
We particularly enjoyed eating at The Royal Hotel. The food and the service, as well as the ambience was exceptional.
I would suggest that 2 days is enough time to spend in Riebeek- Kasteel.

Loved the restaurants - Royal Hotel/ La Parrilla/ Beans for Coffee and The Valley Deli were all exceptional and very much cost effective. Our win for the trip was Kloovenburg Wine Farm, stunning facilities with good tasting options for both Wine and Olives, fantastic value for money and staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Montpellier is definitely worthwhile to visit.
Montpellier is definitely worthwhile to visit. We enjoyed the MCC tasting and cheese board at the Bouval restaurant.
Other places to visit: close to Riebeeck-Kasteel: Eightfeet village, Bosjes, Botha Kelder and Marras.
Our visits to Franschoek and Boschendal were however a disappointment. It was just too busy and probably better to visit outside the festive season.

Riebeek-kasteel is perfect for you if you need a little time out of busy Cape Town. It is extremely safe, walkable and surrounded by pretty wine farms. Its a friendly town, with plenty to choose from in terms of food, coffee shops, art and decor shops.
It gets very hot in the summer!

We loved our stay at Kokos Huis. We intended to stay for 3 nights, but extended our stay with 2 more nights. The staff does anything to make your stay amazing, we even received a tailor-made itinerary with recommendations in Riebeek-Kasteel and surroundings prior to our stay. Breakfast is also great! We stayed in the family room which is spacious if you intend to stay with kids.
Picture beautiful garden with water features in the dam and deck - really difficult to believe that this property is part of the town. The house (Villa) is setup extremely well for family gatherings (8 people) - all open plan, leading onto the spacious stoep/braai area. The kitchen is well-equipped and one really does not have to bring anything with (except food of course).
Antonio was an absolute charming host and went out of his way to make our stay most memorable, even baking us croissants. The bedroom and spacious bathroom are tastefully decorated with art and design pieces collected over decades. A comfortable stay followed by a delightful breakfast next to the pool. Truly a warm and personable boutique hotel.
The studio we stayed in was easily accessible from where our vehicle was parked. The facilities in the studio were adequate for what we required for a one night stay, the aircon was welcome after a hot day in Riebeek-Kasteel!
The gardens and pool were beautifully kept and we enjoyed a nice swim in the afternoon. Our hosts were very friendly.
Very easy to check in, friendly staff, beautiful room, loved everything about it, garden is beautiful, lovely atmosphere, liked the fact that I could have my tea in the garden.
Very central, close to the restaurants, shops, 200 m from the Royal Hotel, where we had a fabulous lunch. Safe parking behind a gate. We will definitely be back soon.
Aneen and Francois are great hosts, and it was like staying over at a friend's house. We enjoyed interacting with them and the other guests. Our room was very comfortable and had everything one would expect. Aneen made some space in her fridge and freezer so I could keep some supplies cold, which was much appreciated. Loved the dog :-)
Good location close (within walking distance) to many popular restaurants and shops, only a short distance from all the wine and olive tasting venues. Very friendly hostess and easy check-in arrangements. Heated wall panel and electric blankets were ideal to battle the icy winter weather.
A very nice hotel beautifully located in a very pleasant town. Our evening meal was one of the best I have ever had. Room was very comfortable with a nice, spacious bathroom. Having breakfast on the stoep, with its views of small town life, was another highlight.
Property was very central, well equipped with mini bar and tea/kettle and the host was so friendly and made an amazing breakfast! I loved the room and it is so close to great restaurants.
Very close to the "main" road of Riebeek-Kasteel. The rooms were clean and the aircon was a lovely reprieve from the heat. Both Rene and Dominique were friendly and helpful.
Excellent service in the hotel - such lovely, friendly staff! Just a great stay overall. The hotel is gorgeous and the setting just perfect. Would love to stay again.
Simple and cozy room in a quiet residential area in Riebeek-Kasteel, just a 10 minute walk from the main square. The hosts were friendly and extremely helpful.
