The staff was engaging and wonderful! I loved that every meal had a vegan / vegetarian option. It was quiet, but clearly a place where locals gather. I look forward to staying there again!

Loved the owners! I felt like I met some new friends. I was made to feel so welcome and we had some great conversations. This was my favorite of the other two places in which I had stayed. Thank you so much for such a wonderful stay! I felt sad when I left because you were so wonderful to me!

Stayed and had both dinner (outstanding) and breakfast (excellent selection of British and continental food). Both the pub and rooms are beautifully decorated and painted in subtle but colourful palette. Very tranquil location. Beds are super-comfortable.

Expecting more character of the Star itself. Very contemporary. Wrongly perceived as an inn with atmosphere but no draught beer pumps etc ! V expensive dinner and wine £80 per head . Room ok .. cracked basin leaking tap . Was however very warm and clean.

The hotel is very well run by a young, friendly efficient staff. The room was comfortable, clean and spacious. The breakfast was freshly cooked and excellent value for money. The dinner was delicious and great value for money. There is a comprehensive menu, covering interesting dishes for types of dietary preferences. Our taxis to and from a local party that we attended were booked by the hotel and arrived on time - even late on a Saturday night. Check out on Sunday was not until 11am.

Of all the places I stayed while walking The Ridgeway, The Greyhound Inn was by far the best. The staff were friendly, the room was lovely and the food was wonderful.

Breakfast was available and it was very close to the middle of Wantage where dinner was available. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. It was very close to everything I wanted to see.
