What’s not to love about this place? Before we arrived, the hosts had detailed instructions on how to access the home and upon entry we knew we were in for a treat. The home was incredibly well stocked with everything we needed in every room, the beds were super comfortable and that VIEW! Absolutely incredible location for a quiet getaway in the Peak District!

All the equipment was very good and the aga was an added bonus. We really liked the bathrobes and slippers in the rooms and the welcome pack, which consisted of a homemade cake, bottle of wine, and treats for our dog. It really was a lovely stay and although the cottage was a little way out of the village it was close to a very good pub and all the walks were from the house so no car was needed.

We had a lovely view over the Ladybower lake. The evening meal was of a very high standard and the quality was 4 star, very well presented by helpful and charming staff. The room was spacious and included a bath which was a bonus, homemade biscuits on the tea tray made a lovely finishing touch. The breakfast menu has good with the full English certainly setting you up for the day. We ate in every night and found the food to be excellent topped with a good selection of local ales.
