The extensively-refurbished Bridge House Hotel is set in Grasmere, directly across from St Oswalds Church and the graveyard where William Wordsworth rests. Brilliant location. Our room was right on the river so we went to sleep to the sound of the river flowing, it was stunning! There were a lot of walks around the area to do and the breakfast at the hotel was delicious. There was also a great pub down and the road and some other restaurants and grocery shops. All you need. The room was beautiful and clean and very spacious! Highly reccomend.

In beautiful Lakeland surroundings overlooking an idyllic brook, Glencree is situated between the villages of Bowness and Windermere. a well finished and comfortable situation! fixtures in rooms and bathroom were excellent great breakfast and an informative and knowledgeable host

This family-run Lake District accommodation has an indoor swimming pool, picturesque gardens and free parking. Free WiFi is available in the downstairs public areas and the bedrooms. Excellent staff, very attentive, great interactions with our four year old boy. Room was stunningly beautiful, bathroom had a wonderful mirror in front of the bathroom that turns into a telly. Afternoon tea was very nice, Scones are very tasty.

The comfortable Howgill apartment sleeps up to 6 people, just 5 minutes’ walk from Windermere Train Station. It has a covered car port and free Wi-Fi. The apartment is large and is very well equipped. it is very homely and right in the town center. it is close to the train station and near to shops and restaurants.

Dating back to 1854, the award-winning Holly Lodge Guest House with FREE off site health club is quietly situated in the center of Windermere. Staff were friendly, and helpful Great location.

The Quaysiders Club is located on the shore of Lake Windermere at Waterhead, which is a short walk from the village of Ambleside. Waterhead has several bars, restaurants and cafés. It was 1 of the cleanest and tidiest apartments I've ever stayed in. Everything was spotless

The 5-star Beaumont House is a Victorian property featuring many original features with a tranquil location, just metres from the heart of Windermere. The room was amazing (the bed was so comfy!), great choice for breakfast, location is perfect within walking distance to shops and bars, and the hosts were very warming! Thank you for giving us an amazing stay 😄

St John's Lodge is an award-winning guest house situated between Windermere village and the Lake at Bowness Bay. Very lovely owner Mr Rich his family, spotlessly clean and tidy room, comfortable beds, excellent location, walking and midway between the city center and the lake. Very quite and calm area. The offsite Health Club was a good bonus with a walk a cross fabulous areas.The breakfast was excellent and you don’t need any meal after it throughout the day. You feel like you are at your own house.
