Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Great location and very friendly staff. We were right in the epicentre of Venice within walking distance to all attractions. Loved it. The place itself is pretty basic so if you're not looking for luxury but still in the middle of everything this is the place to go

Staff were not always available and breakfast staff could not speak English - even basic.
The location to the main tourist spots and proximity to the Airport river taxi stop. Breakfast was good.

Bathrooms could have been designed better, glass instead of shower curtain. Ventilation to bathroom. New carpet. A luggage stand.
The hotel is very close to a boat station, but it was not great weather when we were there so it wasn't open. Next station is a longer walk when you have luggage. Had it been open, its a very quick trip to the Hotel. The Hotel is in a great location - so close to the main square and lots of restaurants. Check in was fabulous, greeted by a nice man and there is a lift to use for yourself and luggage since its a few stories high. Breakfast was included and it was a nice continental style, with the option to have cooked eggs and bacon. Croissants, toast, waffle, yoghurt and fruit available. The room was true garish Venetian style - which is what we wanted. Albeit a bit dated though, it was still cosy and we had a juliet balcony which was cute. The bathroom was small but could have been designed to have a shower with glass rather than a curtain, as this gets stuck to you when in the vey small shower and water gets all over the floor. Also it fogged up quickly as no ventilation. Venice is expensive so this place is value for money esp with its location and breakfast, but could do with a bit of updating - keep the venetian style, but with newer furnishings.

We stayed in the annexe and the stairs for my husband were too much as he's 87. But that was my fault as I should have stipulated that we needed a room with just a few stairs to climb.
The hotel was very centrally situated, quiet and extremely clean. Staff very polite, friendly and helpful.

The location of Hotel Torino is exceptional. We were a few minutes walk from San Marco Square. The hotel was quiet and offered a continental breakfast. It is expensive, but everything in Venice is!

Size of room was very tight for 2 people. Very noisy out the back at night and early morning. No air conditioning until May so really hot. Open windows noise and early season mosquito.
Location and breakfast was great. Staff were friendly and helpful. It had a lift.

We were using Google maps for directions to the hotel and it kept telling us we'd arrived but we couldn't find it. Its a little hidden in the corner of a street, just a door between two shops and the only sign for the hotel was the name of the hotel on the ground outside the front entrance. So keep that in mind if looking for the hotel. Breakfast wasn't great, especially the 1st morning. One person serving and she was under a lot of pressure trying to get to everyone. It would be much easier if breakfast was a buffet style as it's only croissants and pancakes that were served along with ham, cheese and yoghurt. No toast or cereals were offered which would have been nice to have option.
The location is brilliant!!! . The room was small but clean. They kept our luggage while we explored the area as we arrived early and room wasn't ready so that's always handy. I'd stay again.

Breakfast was very poor, very limited choice and offer was repeating. On our last day of stay, even two of fours choices were not available, leaving VERY limited choices.
good location in the city center and close to vaporetto station, friendly staff willing to help. Clean and nice furbished rooms.

There were some ants in the bed sheets
The location was great, very strategic point, the only bad thing is that it would be better to store your luggage in train station because once inside Venice you’ll carry your bag for a long distance

A little overheated and the heat couldn’t be adjusted. The pillows were hard and the WiFi was slow.

The location was great . The hotel booked us a water taxi from the airport . The service was exceptional. We were met at the airport and met by the hotel staff as we disembarked the boat and escorted to the hotel. Will definitely be recommending. And the breakfast was delicious!

Shower door was dodgey, no light bulb in bedside lamp , room was very warm and difficult to regulate temp.
Location excellent , close to st Marc’s sq with boat stop nearby. Breakfast was basic but good. Ladies serving were very good. Reception staff could smile maybe ?
