Fulpmes is one of a handful of villages clustered along the beautiful Stubai Valley (Stubaital). Situated some 930 metres ASL, it is at the end of tram route STB that takes you into the heart of Innsbruck in an hour and is ideal for alighting at stops from which to trek through the meadows and forests. Good base to explore Stubai region. Though local tax may be higher than other places and there is additional road toll to access the region, the use of Stubai guest card to cover mountain cable cars and car parking cost provide convenience and enjoyment.

We stayed at Gasthof Gröbenhof on our way to Italy.
We stayed at Gasthof Gröbenhof on our way to Italy. We have never seen such a clean accomodation as Gröbenhof. Our bedroom and bathroom were both big and very comfortable. Dinner on the night of arrival and breakfast the next day were both very good. Recommended for a sleepover!

There is a possibility to have breakfast - and it is delicious and well worth it. The restaurant offers dinners - reservation advisable, excellent Tirol cuisine, the restaurant is closed on Wed and Thu though, but other restaurants in the area are open and excellent as well. The family was very kind and helpful. And we even used the sauna one evening - which served us well after a day on the ski slope.

We didn’t know this, but our booking also included free access to several local facilities including the gondola. The rooms were clean and comfortable with an excellent view. Silvia made us feel very welcomed and shared a lot of insights on places to visit in the area. Thanks to that we've seen much more than we could've expected, enjoyed every bit of it. And Stubai Super Card that lets you use many cable cars in the area for free was another nice bonus. We're definitely coming back!

We never would have thought going to the Stubai valley with a toddler could have been so much fun. Breakfast is good with plenty of choice. Mainly Austrian/German cuisine at dinner but it was quite good. The spa at the hotel is nice and we enjoyed the half board and the extra space of the junior suite we booked.
