It is a very nice little city with lots of restaurants and bars for any kind of public. The sea has a wonderful colour, it is super clean (at least while we were there) and behind the lighthouse there is a super beach with rocks, it looks simply GREAT.

We enjoyed walking around the town and beach area.
We enjoyed walking around the town and beach area. We travelled to the Bauxite Lake which was nearby and hiked around it and then down to the ocean. A highlight was going south and swimming in the Adriatic and Ionian Seas. We hired a boat for the two of us for 3 hours for 60 Euros. It was absolutly amazing and the grotto's were beautiful. The water color was just amazing! A highlight of our trip to southern Italy.

It is a really attractive town, with pretty streets, a castle and a lovely old cathedral. The cathedral has some spectacular Byzantine floor mosaics. In grim contrast, the Martyrs Chapel contains the bones of 800 Christians massacred by the Turks in 1480. We spent an enjoyable couple of hours exploring and ended up for a good mojito and beer on the front.

Very interesting old town, beautiful castle and churches, etc.
The old part of town is full of charm and pleasant to strall around. Eating on the sea front, watching the boats come and go, real relaxing holiday.
The surroundings also offer possibilities to visit impressive caves and the famous cava de bauxite.
The hosts, Nana & Franco, were most gracious and attentive. From the moment we arrived they welcomed and made us feel like family. Nana’s special gift for baking spoiled us to daily fresh tarts & breakfast sweets which we enjoyed on the veranda. the accommodations where spotless, modern, comfortable and within walking
distance to the beach, town & restaurants. the host also provided valuable recommendations on restaurants and sites to visit. we truly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend staying at Vele d’Otranto.
Our stay in this property was definitely the best stay of our journey through Puglia. Especially the warmth of Lorena and Francesco, the hosts, have made us feeling super well. From serving a welcome drink and recommending the best beaches, the daily smalltalk was great. We decided to have dinner in the property every evening - Lorenas Apulien cooking skills were super and opulent.
We didn’t have a car through our journey, that’s why we had to rent bikes for the stay - no public traffic in the surrounding.
Beautiful secure ground located very close proximity to the beach and Otranto! We stayed for 3 nights with Fernando and Ada, who were excellent and attentive hosts. Breakfast was abundant and changed daily which was great. Fresh fruits from their garden. Fernando arranged many services for us like electric bike rental and lunch reservations near by. All in all very great customer service. The hosts didn’t speak English but was keen on communicating as best as possible!
Everything was perfect at the Tenuta. The room was large, confortable, clean. You could tell that Francesco, put his whole heart in this place and everything little detail was thought of carefully with a lot of attention. The breakfast in the morning was very generous and tasteful.
The hotel is perfectly located in the south of Puglia, within very short driving distance from the main places to visit along the coast! We highly recommend !
Fantastic service, breakfast and room. This is the cleanest hotel we have ever stayed in. Each day our room was spotlessly cleaned and tidied. Our stay was faultless from our welcome/check-in to the spacious room to the generous breakfast
We enjoyed walking into Otranto for our evening meals (30 min). The Masseria is in a relaxing location away from the business of the old town.
Stunning property in an excellent location. Lucia and Vincenzo were incredible hosts. Great communication both before and during our stay. More of a boutique hotel than a simple b&b. Exceptional food!
Location feels tucked away in the countryside, away from the hustle and bustle, but it is only 5 minutes walk to central Ontranto.
Highly recommend.
Absolutely fantastic place, spotless and comfortable. Excellent location and just right for a couple nights. We were warmly welcomed and taken care of during our stay. Very nice breakfast provided, good WiFi and A/C. Comfy beds, quality bedding and towels. Enjoyed the balcony and proximity to extraordinary Otranto. We highly recommend!
Amazing food, super nice and skillful chef, strongly recommend the salt baked fresh fish. Their cooking class was a super experience, where we learned how to make 3 different type of handmade pasta. Nice bike ride from the hotel to Otranto. Staff was very helpful in terms of recommendation. Room was clean and the bed super comfy.
An utterly stunning Agriturismo hotel set among the olive groves a short drive from Otranto. Beautiful minimalistic whitewash design fused with rustic Italian charm. Dinner on the terrace every evening was a delight with 5* cuisine. The spa is unique being a cavern and the pool is heavenly.
The location was near the best beaches in Otranto. The staff were amazing and always happy to accommodate our needs. They made our stay enjoyable. The room was big and super clean. This is a must stay place for anyone who wants to enjoy some peace and quietness
The apartment was very comfortable and the ability to get free bikes from their property to ride around Puglia was a game-changer for our trip. Very handy, very helpful and allowed us to go to several beaches without having to find taxis and spend extra money.
Location very close to one of the best beaches in South Italy (10 min walk) and extremely nice / helpful attention by the host. Otranto is close by and has nice restaurants, shops and you can even swim in the port (extremely clean and safe).
Beautiful historical building with an amazing terrace overlooking the sea and port. Excellent restoration and use of an ancient 14thC Otranto palazzo! One of the better Puglian breakfasts on offer….
A very nice, renovated hotel, not too big and at the best possible location for Otranto. Great breakfast and kind staff. We were completely satisfied with the room, the breakfast and the hotel.
Amazing location, at the beachfront , 2 min walk to old town and marina. has parking space !!
people at reception go extra mile to make you feel comfortable and enjoying Otranto!
The staff at the hotel is extremely helpful, kind, and amazing. The location is nice, close to the old town, and close to a bus station that can take ya to beaches like San Foca.
My stay at Borgo de li Santi was absolutely perfect. The place was very clean, excellent staff, and absolute best overall hospitality. The pool was amazing.
