We stayed in the new building and it was a nice room very clean. Due to the fact that we were early in the season we couldn’t use the terras and all the other facilities. It is nice however that they take care over the Hooghe Krater which is a remnant of the Great War and you cannot understand the idea that about 100 years ago here men did battle for 4 year over 300 m of frontline.

The most exquisitely decorated, spotlessly clean boutique hotel with the kindest, most accommodating proprietor. Huge shower, large bath (Glory room). Time stops here; everything is unhurried and harmonious. Stunning breakfast. Lots of gluten free options. A truly fabulous experience.

Ieper holds a horrendous history when it comes down to the tragic loss of life.
But on the other hand it has a sense of peace when you walk around.
The battles took place 108 years ago, so its good that there are still preserved sites to visit that this is never forgotten.

Ypres is a wonderful experience.
Ypres is a wonderful experience. Visit Menin Gate at 8pm each evening and hear the last post played for the fallen of the Great War.
On a Monday most shops and all restaurants and museums are closed.

A history lovers perfect place, and also a grim reminder of the horrors of war.
But we could learn a lot from the Belgium community who are the friendliest most welcoming people, with a country they are proud to show off.

We've visited Ypres several times before, and it has a wonderful ambiance. Whilst we aren't particularly interested in the war time background of the town, there are plenty of places to visit, and to eat, Parking is relatively easy for the traveller
Location. Street parking just outside for two motorcycles. There is a car park near by but the closer the better when on a motorbike. The owner was very helpful and knowledgeable. The coffee machine, biscuit's and fruit bowl were nice little extras, made all the difference to the welcome. Our twin room was spacious enough and the bathroom was very clean.
Breakfast was very good with the usual continental meats, cheese, eggs, cereals and more. Easy walking distance to the centre and Menin gate.
This is our 3rd Stay at the Ariane - always a delight. It's the best hotel in Ypres! Its a lovely, friendly hotel. The staff go out of their way to please the clientele - demonstrating excellent Management & Staff relatons. Its a Happy Hotel
We also like the historical collection of WWI photos & memorabilia, displayed with grace & respect for the thousands of men & women who lost their lives in the carnage in & around Ypres & Passendaele.
The hotel's restaurant is also EXCELLENT!
This country hotel is located just 3km outside Ypres and is excellent stoppover for visiting the town. Only 1 hour from Dunkirk ferry so also good for first or last night on longer journies . We stayed in the origional building in a comfortable well furnished bedroom. It had comfy bed and aircon plus nicely fitted ensuite .Excellent breakfast with lots of choice inc in room rate . Nice bar and restaurant and outside seating area front of hotel .
Brilliant location, short stroll to the centre couldn't have been better. We had the two rooms on the top (4th) floor as a family of four and a private bathroom on the 2nd floor. Free tea and coffee in the dining area. Free WiFi. Free parking on street outside. Very clean and new.
Unusual check in, you knock on the door of the owners house two doors down but she was lovely and came and showed us around. Very welcoming.
I felt so welcomed and well-accommodated by Frank. From the moment I arrived and received fresh linens, to the daily breakfast (which was wonderful!), to the moment he dropped me off at the train station, I felt completely at home. He also had excellent tips for sightseeing and allowed the use of his bike to traverse the city. Highly recommend to anyone and everyone looking to stay in Ieper.
We came to Ypres to do a battlefield tour while we were visiting Belgium and were very glad to stay at the Albion Hotel. It felt small and intimate, the staff were extremely attentive and the breakfast hit the spot. Very clean hotel and our room was lovely and big with plenty space. Nothing in Ypres is far from the centre but the Albion's location was just perfect for our plans.
Perfect location, a moments walk from the Menin Gate and only a few more to get to the Market Square (Cloth Hall and cathedral etc). The host is brilliant. He has created a real experience for his visitors in this house. It’s full of WW1 memorabilia. He ensures his guests make the most of their stay in Ypres.
A lovely traditional family run hotel, Ambrosia is set right in the heart of Ypres. Clean, tidy, warm & well appointed throughout. The room was a nice size, warm quiet with a nice hot shower
Staff were very helpful, & couldn’t do enough for us.
Breakfast was a varied selection , tasty, & well presented
Very nice breakfast with freshly fried eggs and bacon. We wanted to book an extra night, this was no problem and we could stay in the same room. We traveled by motorcycle which we could park in front of the hotel, which was no problem at all.
This hotel is fantastic for touring the WW1 Battlefields etc. Based in center of Ypres surrounded by excellent restaurants, bars, shops and museums. Good parking, excellent breakfast, clean, friendly and very good value for money.
This hotel was in a perfect location very close to the Cloth Hall & centre of Ypres, we had a beautiful room with the a view of Sf George’s Church. I would definitely stay here again
The landlady was excellent and hotel placed only a short walk from the centre of Ypres.
Plenty of free parking in the street so no hassle trying to find somewhere to leave car.
