Chicago is one of my favourite cities - I have been visiting on business for 40+ years. Great food, great people, safe downtown. Many new and beautiful buildings - and the Trump Tower. The Riverwalk is a delight in summer.

The food spots were good. Downtown is pretty nice. It's ridiculously humid during the summer and the roads are AWFUL - need to be fixed immediately, everywhere! Overall, I don't like Indianapolis and would never live there given a choice.

Branson is a great vacation destination for families and couples. There is so much to do in the area including: music/variety/magic shows, museums, several shopping centers, souvenir shops, mini-golf, go-carts, a wide variety of quality restaurants, the original ferris-wheel from the Navy Pier in Chicago, Historic Downtown Branson, zoos, the Branson Belle Dinner Cruise Showboat, Silver Dollar City Amusement Park....among many other attractions. There is a wide variety of accommodations to choose from as well, from inexpensive budget motels to high-end luxury hotels...along with condos, town-homes, B&Bs and VRBOs. The only downside (for me) is that there are only a handful (or less) of local, "neighborhood-type" bars that aren't part of a larger restaurant. In fact, I've only found 3...and they're kind-of "hidden gems".

The Dells is getting so expensive.

The Dells is getting so expensive. A lot of things to do but you better bring your ATM card too. Some new things every year but this year's visit kinda sucked. Noah's Ark was awesome as usual and free tickets if you stay at certain hotels. We really like the Grateful Shed for food. A lot of atmosphere and good food for a descent price. My son loves Wizard Quest in downtown. Cheddar golf stunk. Mountain was only ok. Glad I didn't pay for 3 runs, 1 was enough. Pirates Cove mini golf is always a win. Monks burgers are great too. Aquavia Lumina was pretty cool. My son really liked it.

We were only there two half days.

We were only there two half days. We started in Baltimore where we live, and drove to Lexington, VA, stayed over, and then rushed to get to Louisville for the Ali Center which closes at 5. The next day we went to the Louisville Slugger factory in the morning, I walked into the Frazier Museum and it looked good, but I had no time to go thru it. It once upon a time was my name so I was curious!! I drove around the lovely old homes, had lunch, and left for the drive to Milwaukee.

The zoo is fabulous - very easy to navigate and many amazing animals! You need a full day there. We also went on a safari at "The Wilds". It's about an hour away, and it was also wonderful - got to feed a giraffe! Also loved hiking at Hocking Hills State Park - beautiful! Wish we had had a little more time to explore the area even more!

I took mine-year-old grandson to St Louis for 4 days.

I took mine-year-old grandson to St Louis for 4 days. We had a wonderful trip the city museum was the highlight of the trip the St Louis zoo was a close second. The aquarium was okay. It wasn't as big as we had hoped. They did have a rope maze there which I'm sure would have been fun for somebody not afraid of heights like we were. The science center was okay but it was extremely crowded the day that we were there.

We were there specifically to visit the WW1 memorial museum.

We were there specifically to visit the WW1 memorial museum. The traffic was busy, but not bad. The museum was the best we have ever seen! And we have seen quite a few. Beautiful, powerful, sad and haunting throughout. The Orangewood hotel next to the airport was clean, well run and very reasonable, and the dinner food was surprisingly good! We really didn’t see any other part of the city before flying out.
