The city has so many ruins they do not even bother to label them or secure them. Saw many people just walking through while shopping or family outings. But no controls were needed as it seems everyone was respectful of the ruins.

Green and vibrant city, great parks, picturesque river and bridges, lots of cafes, some interesting monuments.
Not impressed by a culinary side though - didn’t find any tasty food in both cheaper and expensive places. Got the impression that the real reason to go to a restaurant is to socialize only.
Surely way too hot in summer, as the seaside is about 100 km away. I wish they had more fountains at least!
Next time will only eat at home and stay in in the middle of the day.

Small city with lots of trees that give everybody around allergies.
It's very surreal to have mountains all around the city - kinda like a skybox in an old game. The sights are wonderful, especially in the evening. I wish I had my drone there to fly over - it would be so much better than what I had, but drone laws are cruel there (airport security doesn't do very good job of checking if you stay in the back though).
There's not too much to do in the city itself but it's a nice location to have 1.5-3h bus rides to other cities - we especially enjoyed going to Kotor mountains, and going to a nudist beach at Bojana island was also an interesting experience.
There are some places with nice food - just look for the highest rated restaurants in the area. I particularly liked the steak at the "Steak House - Grill, Fish & Meat" place. Food delivery is average. Taxis don't take card payments most of the time, and calling for a taxi without knowing the language is a pain. Tesla app is kinda ok in that regard, but it's only working in Podgoritsa.
People don't know how to drive and how to park there so pedestrian roads are blocked with cars, and traffic lights are challenging if you can't walk fast.

Very pleasant town, with green space and parks, safe and relaxing for long walks, especially by the river, and no problems at all with motorbikes (as in Tirana) and stray dogs (as in Durres). Guidebooks that underrate Podgorica are wrong!

The city is not very beautiful, but tourist-friendly.
The city is not very beautiful, but tourist-friendly. It is a good base for trips to other towns. You can get there very conveniently by bus or train. I recommend! There are a lot of green places and lovely corners by the river. The catering facilities are sufficient.

Podgorica
Podgorica is a very beautiful city.
Podgorica
Podgorica is a very beautiful city. It is very clean and organized with regular houses, shops and markets, although it is a small place. People are calm and very friendly.
It was quite a beautiful and special evening with bars on both sides of the main boulevard where people spent time with their loved ones.
I can mention the Munchen bar where we had a delicious dinner.
Another favorite bar in the city center with live music was Hard Rock Cafe.
A perfect location next to railway station and not far from Podgorica airport.
The owners are very nice, met me on the street so it was not difficult to find them. The apartment is big and modern, bathroom is good and clean. The AC works good so it's not cold in winter.
In addition to all of that, there were free fruits and water, and the hosts even gave me a cake as a gift on arrival.
Last but not least, the owner transferred me to the airport for free in the morning.
Definitely recommend!
Perfect hotel. The staff were very professional and helpful, giving us all the information we needed before we asked. The rooms were big with comfy beds, our own WiFi, and an excellent bathroom. The buffet breakfast was large and varied. We sadly did not have time to use the spa, as we arrived late/departed early. Do make use of their airport taxi booking offer - and any other taxi bookings you need - you'll pay half of the metered charge (across Montenegro, pre-booking taxis is cheaper).
Location was central..only 10 mins drive time from the airport...used as a stop over as late arriving flight. Checking in was slick and we used the underground parking. The rooms are exactly as pictured and of a very nice standard..the hotel has its own restaurant and bar and the food is very good and very affordable...good choice of montenegro wine in good setting. Everywhere was very clean and very well kept. Overall highly recommended.
Upon arrival we were greeted by the wonderfully warm and friendly hosts. It was wonderful to experience local hospitality. The location is in the heart of Podgorica suburbia with a semi-rural setting, and a very short and pleasant drive to the airport through quiet back roads (which was our main reason for booking the stay). The accommodation was very neat and tidy, and had air-con which is very much needed in June.
An excellent small boutique hotel. Staff were extremely nice, helpful and accommodating. The room was comfortable and clean and the shower was sparkling clean, like I have not seen before in many 5-star hotels. Location is very good if you have a car, only 5-minute drive to the central boulevard and 7 minutes to the Delta City Mall, if you're interested in shopping during your stay at Podgorica. Highly recommended!
Everything, Host Alexander was very helpfull and helped us to Reach the airport early on the morning. Podgorica is young and vibrant city with a lot of nice spots. Od You Like brutalist architecture, good balkan cuisine and mountains You will be Like im the heaven. Apartment has everything what is needed to live for the longer time than one week. Perfect localisation, silent and near the center od night life.
Perfect place to stay for a night before flying out of Podgorica airport. It’s only a 5 minute drive from the airport. The owners are some of the kindest people I’ve ever met! They gave us a plate of fresh fruit from their garden out back and it was incredible. Without question I would stay here again if traveling through Montenegro. Highly recommend staying here if you are flying out of Podgorica airport.
If you need to stay in Podgorica, this is the place to be. Beautiful hotel with big indoor swimming pool and spa and a rooftop terrace. Big breakfast and we had the chance to talk to the Guest relation manager Milena who was a great help on the planning of our vacation. The taxi within the city is very cheap. 15 euro via booking.com for the taxi from the airport.
The hosts were lovely people! They didn't know English but this didn't get in the way of their hospitality. We communicated via google voice translate and smiles! They gave us homemade goodies and were very helpful. The house itself is in the outskirts of Podgorica (very close to the airport) surrounded with amazing greenery.
The hotel's location was very convinient for us because we wanted to see the city center on foot. The room was specious, bed was huge and comfortable. The view was really nice as well. We had a lunch in the hotel restaurant and it was delicious. We will go back to this hotel next time we are in Podgorica.
We fell in love with the place! our room was super clean, brand new towels every day, staff was incredibly helpful at any means, breakfasts were amazing, food at the restaurant very tasty and portions are huge. We felt like home! Next time we’re in Podgorica we will stay in Keto Hotel! 100% recommend!
This was a very good place to stay for a decent price, right in the centre of the city within walking distance of all amenities. John was a very kind and helpful host who was extremely knowledgeable about Podgorica and suggested things to see and do. A nice place to stay :)
My Wife and I stayed there three times. Excellent location, Consistently Excellent Hotel. Staff is Great. especially, Nadia and Lazor, the gentle Giant. The best Breakfast in Podgorica.. Everybody spoke English or try to. Very pleasant experience. Definitely recommend it.
Special thanks to Vera, she was so helping. She arranged me shuttle to the airport and the driver also so kind. Room was clean. There is a shared kitchen where you can prepare coffee. Hotel is located in city center you can walk everywhere.
Small hotel located in the city center of Podgorica. Lots of details in the room which makes it nice and cozy. The bed is really comfortable. Further on there are lots of options for breakfast. The breakfast was really good.
The location is excellent, near everything you wish to see in Podgorica. The hospitality of the staff was amazing 🥰.
The breakfast was one of the best I’ve had in this trip! I really recommend this hotel 👏
We were flying out of Podgorica airport the next morning. The hotel is only 5 minutes from the airport. There is plenty of parking on-site and an excellent restaurant as well. Staff was very friendly.
We used this hotel as a hub to get to Budva and Podgorica airport. The staff were great, we left headphones in the prebooked taxi we organised with them and they were kindly returned back to us.
Hotel has in the city center. Has friendly staff and cute hotel with nice art decorations. They also helped us to find rental car. Have nice snack room for breakfast.
