Thun and surrounding is a place of fantastic nature. Lakes, mountains, beautiful views and some nice cafes and restaurant. There is so many things to see, you have to stop by every village to experience local beauty. It was small calm city, I prefer book in Interlaken and visit all the Cities around it. If you book in Interlaken, you can visit Thun, Grindelwald and Brienz. All of them around 30 minutes from Interlaken

Thun is a fantastic old town with a ton of charm.
Thun is a fantastic old town with a ton of charm. From river canals to castles and gardens, you can spend hours roaming up and down the town's historic streets and paths. Plus, you can find many adventures from the town into the surrounding mountains. Less busy, more romantic, and much more history than Interlaken.

Thun was so perfect for our family.
Thun was so perfect for our family. We prefer to stay outside of big cities, that way we can venture into the city, but then retreat to our quiet town in the evening. Thun was so wonderful that we didn't even attempt to leave, apart from visiting Interlaken, which was just a 30 minute train ride away. Thun was made for walking! There is so much to see just walking through the town along the canal. Definitely be sure to walk the river, and visit the castle. Instead of taking the elevator back down from the castle, walk down. Trust me, it's adorable. I personally didn't care much for any of the bakeries in town. I think we were spoiled in France, so the breads in Thun seemed too sweet to me, and lacked the lightness of French breads.Ava - 10Scored 10

(i mean the raw egg for boiling). i happen to stay there during the Thunfest, and the hotel informed in advance there would be loud music the whole night. i love music and ...when i open the window it's like i am sitting in the VIP room in a concert. that was fantastic!caySwitzerland

The large family room (with two separated rooms) are very clean and comfortable. No details are missing for a perfect stay (welcome drinks for the whole family, enough sockets, bath products, chocolate and free cold water in the minibar). The little walking path, lounge at the hotel and having breakfast at the lake was wonderful. Next time we will take our bathing suits to go for a swim in the lake.

Private parking in front of the house. Private entrance. House is in a quiet area, 5 minutes driving from Thun, a lovely town, with two picturesque castles. Good communication with our host, although only by whatsapp. Sometimes, minor problems with hot water, maybe due to heating programme, but not disturbing.

You also receive a Panorama Card, with which you can use buses free of charge for all the days you’re staying at the hotel. The staff is very friendly and helping. They allowed us to check-in 5 hours before the actual check-in time and to store our luggages for some hours after our check-out free of charge.
