Returned hare after visiting in 2015, still a very enjoyable respite! Comfy room, very quiet location in quiet village up in the hills. Hosts are very accommodating and pleasant. Fine breakfast and dinners on nights offered were cracker. Good location for visiting several sites/hiking further up in the Mountains. Stay here if in the region.

Les Castets d'Ayré is located just a 5-minute walk from the Barèges village center and 15 minutes by shuttle from the Domaine du Tourmalet Ski Resort.

Traveling in the shoulder season when mountain resort towns are closing down, it was a treat to have a kitchenette. The hotel is in center of town with free parking all around. The staff was friendly, kind and extremely professional.
