Fairfield by Marriott Kyoto Minamiyamashiro, hotel in Iga

Fairfield by Marriott Kyoto Minamiyamashiro is offering accommodations in Minamiyamashiro. Featuring a shared lounge, the 3-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with a private bathroom.

Clearly a nice new hotel in the area- next to the rest area. It is a quiet one with a lot of local vegetables etc. Not a lot of dining in the area and I mean Iga. Eat somewhere else or know something I don’t know before coming in to sleep. Laundry and everything in the hotel was good. If I had had more energy I would have figured out an outside food and onsen before coming here to sleep. Was a good base for uji and Wazuka. Little expensive considering the location and lack of food/onsen.

Smile Hotel Nabari, hotel in Iga

Located 29 miles from Nara Station, Smile Hotel Nabari provides rooms with air conditioning in Nabari. This 3-star hotel offers a 24-hour front desk and luggage storage space.

This is centrally located, 30 m from the train station in a small town. It's easy to find and convenient to a few good restaurants and family mart. It is, however, fairly far from a supermarket or other major shopping area.

朝ドラのロケ地!信楽焼きの窯元(谷寛窯)に泊まれます/無料駐車場有/6人まで宿泊可能, hotel in Iga

朝ドラのロケ地!信楽焼きの窯元(谷寛窯)に泊まれます/無料駐車場有/6人まで宿泊可能 is located in Nagano, just 26 miles from Daigo-ji Temple and 26 miles from Shoren-in Temple.

The house is very comfortable with a large living area and two bedrooms, nested on the mountain hill. Hozan and his family are extremely nice and gracious. He was so kind that he agreed to teach me pottery even for such a short stay. I am very grateful to have found this place

    Loved the city!

Loved the city! I always dreamt of visiting the "Ninja City" to visit all the cultural places there! Had the chance to go to the Akame 48 Waterfalls, Iga-Ueno Castle, the Iga-ryu Ninja Museum, Matsuo Basho's memorial museum, had nice meals in traditional local restaurants such as Tenrakuza Wakaya, and had a great opportunity to visit an amazing antiques shop called Kobijutsuhin Ooyabu Shokodou( 古美術大薮尚古堂), where the store owner showed me swords, spears, armors, pottery, and jitte! Definitely a nice city to visit if you love the Ninja Culture and Japanese History!

The top attractions for Iga are usually Iga-Ueno castle, the ninja house and the ninja museum where you can learn a lot about the daily life of a ninja, their skills, and what they kept and wore. If you're a fan of ninjas in general, of course, Iga is the best place to have an adventure in. I only stayed for a couple of days, and one of those days was spent travelling to Nagoya (via the Ise-Kumano JR Pass), so I wasn't able to look around as much. Still, it was a worthwhile trip and I would probably have stayed longer if I could, maybe even try the onsen. It's one of those rural trips that help your mind be at ease from the daily stress in the city.

While full of the usual modern stores, one could still feel that Iga is an historical castle town. The castle and park around it were both a delight to spend time in. I felt a sense of comfort and pride in the people I met and dealt with during my stay there.

If you want back to basics this is the place.

If you want back to basics this is the place. We walked the streets between rice paddy’s and local homes. Had coffee in a little family run coffee house. Met the locals and had a chat. Everyone was extremely helpful which sums up Japan. Try the local Sento it was amazing. Perfect after a long day of sightseeing. Plan your travel as buses and trains run half hour to hourly on some runs.
