comfortable and cozy property, I loved the big kitchen table for breakfast. the room had plenty of space and the bathroom was also quite spacious. beds were comfortable!
we had a really nice time at Don Carlos B&B. The owner and other employees were very kind and warmly welcomed us. The owner gave us great recommendations for local sights (we especially loved Castelfranco, which is 35 mins from the property by train!). Even though I cannot speak Italian, we were able to communicate quite well using some English and google translate :)
Breakfast was very nice, I enjoyed the selection of brioche (three flavors: plain, marmalade, and chocolate), yogurt, cereal, and bread. We were served delicious homemade jam as well.
concerning the location, some advice to other travelers:
1. it may be easier to explore the area via car. We relied on public transport, which was fine but the trains run relatively infrequently. If you rely on public transport, I recommend the train, I don’t recommend taking the bus
2. If you take the train, the local train station is written “S. Martino di Lupari” in the ticket selling machines. Has to be typed exactly like that or the station will not show up.
3. We walked to Castelfranco from the B&B, which takes 90 mins — at first the walk was next to country roads (no sidewalk), and some unleashed dogs chased us which was a bit scary (but they were harmless). Most of the walk was very lovely with a pedestrian path.
4. The walk to Cittadella was less nice, almost all the way was next to the road with no sidewalk.
Featuring garden views, Rio Della Pila in San Martino di Lupari provides accommodations and a garden.

The overall atmosphere was pure italian, big room and very big bed considering that we shared it with our 1.4 y old child. The host was very nice, just that our italian is far from good. Great cappuccino 😁. Great garden, if you are lucky to have sunny wather (it was rainy during our stay)

The sheets and towels were clean and the staff was friendly. The location is near the highway. The bar downstairs and the locals there makes it fun italian town experience.

The front desk manager is very polite and helpful. The breakfast was detailfull and delicious. The spa was clean and relaxing. As price/value, this is a highly recommended hotel if you visit Venice, Udine, or Padova. The can be reached by 10 minutes walking and the tickets are cheap. I'll definitely go again.
