The view from our room/the property was amazing. This is a private home in a residential neighborhood. This is a nice place stay. It's away from the city and services but if have a car, you're only 5 minutes from many fine restaurants. We met one of the owners on arrival. He was very nice and helpful. Oh, and if you are into art, they have lots of it displayed in the room and the shared common spaces.

Pat and Benjamin are very welcoming and such friendly hosts! We spent Christmas with our family and we were very grateful to have had a home for us to gather and make great memories. Its a great location, quiet neighbourhood with the most beautiful trail behind the house. The house is gorgeous and very clean, the beds were so comfy and the kitchen was awesome. Their sweet dog Ivy was very entertaining!! The back yard was perfect for our little dog where she enjoyed exploring. Definitely recommend this home, we have no complaints and only good things to say about our stay and the hosts. Thank you for such a wonderful holiday! Happy New Year!!!

The river float is a summer must! Just make sure you wear lots of sunscreen! There are a few restaurants though not many for breakfast but lots of lakes in the area to explore and just a great little getaway for a few days! The Farm Table restaurant was a bit pricey for what you got but the hotel restaurant was quick and friendly and having a cold beer and wine store attached was super convenient! Wish we would have tried the deep fried ice cream place, next time :)

A small quaint town, quiet in the winter season getting busier in the spring summer months. Beautiful lake and forests. Lots of nature. A couple good restaurants including a great sushi restaurant. Quiet, calm and peace-ul and safe for walking late at night.

Beautiful lake that we wish to have discovered more if stayed longer! A bit surprised that there is not that many paddle boards/kayak for rent on a Lake which is so appropriate for these kind of activities.

Small town centred around the lake and river.

Small town centred around the lake and river. Not much else to do besides water sports in town but close to hiking and riding trails. When it is hot and sunny, the water is glorious and perfect for a lazy tube down the river.

We loved our stay in this beautifully appointed, quiet suite that's just minutes from town. The view of the valley is gorgeous, and the guest suite opens on to a lovely garden with patio furniture. Leslie is a friendly, helpful, and thoughtful host who cares about guests having a pleasant experience in Lake Cowichan. We enjoyed meeting Oliver the Cat on his outdoor rounds, and even Callie the Cat too! Highly recommended.

Very clean! A beautiful boutique hotel. The owners are thoughtful and diligent keeping the place highly organized, the lawn neat and clean, the fireplace makes you feel comfy on cold evening, full kitchen with lots of utensils to make cooking easy, bath room sparkling…..and you can sit outside comfortably overlooking part of the lake surrounded by mountains for quiet chat and read. Relaxing, private and safe.

My comment is that a lot more instructions have to be given in order to get to this place. There was no one at the gate to let us in and no number to call to get assistance. It was only by chance that we saw someone standing outside that we got through the gate and the description failed to mention that it was a park model in a trailer park, not a four bedroom house. No stores or restaurants nearby.

Beautiful log lodge, incredibly well appointed and furnished, in an amazing serene location, with beautiful views, on the pristine Cowichan River, less than a minute's walk through the forest. Tranquility, privacy, luxury. John was extremely thoughtful in preparing our breakfast as a picnic because we had a very early start. We will definitely stay here again.
