The owners have really made an effort to make the cottage as cosy and welcoming as possible. They are on site and available without being intrusive. Everything was quality and tasteful - excellent night's sleep. We were snug even in a cold, wet March (lots of details like warm throws) without using the wood burning stove; it would have been very toasty warm if we had. Gardens are beautifully kept with flowers, trees and wildlife to admire from the kitchen window. Thoughtful touches like bread, milk and butter when we arrived.

We were at the Great Coombe as a group of 8 people. 🛏️ All rooms were quite tidy and clean 🌲 Amazing back garden view!!! 👩 Nicole (host) was super friendly and lives close by in case you need anything 🐶 Pet friendly 🔪 Kitchen was recently renovated and included all essential items. Do your shopping and enjoy the BBQ 🎱 Gaming room (Pool, Table tennis & Foosball) 🚶♀️ Plenty of walking trails with amazing views 🍻 So many great local pubs, especially The Thimble Inn 📍 Close to various historical attractions It was a great escape from busy London life. We are definitely going back!

We visited Lulworth Cove, Weymouth, Dorchester and Swanage. We also found a great walk to take our dogs, starting at the car park on the east side of the village. The accommodation overlooks the river and the large balcony makes full use of the views. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty, delivered by Nikki to the room. It was great to have breakfast on the balcony taking in the views of the countryside. Nice easy walk across the field to the village pub where we had a nice evening meal. Hosts were fantastic and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.
